  • "We have been to Blue Stove many times and always enjoy it. The specials on this evening in particular were very good. The chicken tacos, crab cakes, fries, and warm chocolate cake continue to be favorites. We did not care for the shrimp with grits that is on the menu currently. The best shrimp dish they have served is the original one from when they first opened. My main criticism is that they need to slow down their service. I asked for the plates to be brought out slowly and unfortunately it did not happen. Next time we visit I will only order the plates as I wish them to be brought out. "

  • "This is my third time here and each time though experience was different (all good) it was due to different crowd. sorry folks who don't like wine list, I am from Napa Valley and they have excellent choices. Last visit on Sunday afternoon, sat at bar and they have stellar guy working there, had the Stags Leap Artemis Cabernet, a superior wine. First time there was on busy shopping day and it was packed. Fabulous waitresses, courteous and highly efficient, room was bustling slightly noisy, had great time. Tapas first class. Next two times were lunchewon with girl friends and made reservations on Sunday afternoons, very mellow, food still really nice, chose the lime chicken tacos, Calamari, arugula salad, Korean BBQ and crab cakes! GiveitaTEN"

  • "This is the second time I've been to Blue Stove. The food is excellent and they have a great wine list. Lots of variety and interesting things to try. This time, service was a little slow. Our server was nice and friendly, it just seemed like she was inexperienced and we waited a long time after we were first seated for her to finally greet us and take a drink order. Wouldn't stop me from going back again, though."

  • "After shopping (my annual trip to top off my suits and ties), my wife and I had dinner at the Blue Stove. The service was great. Everyone was very attentive and the delivery of the half dozen or so "tapas" plates we had was perfect - each one arriving shortly after the previous one was finished. The wines were also very good. The food was good and ranged from pedestrian (perfectly decent fried calamari with nothing interesting to dip it in) to excellent (the crab cakes and cheese plate). I will definitely go back and try some more options. It was a great way to round off an evening. But nothing to write home about."

  • "We had a 6:30 reservation for four. We arrived 8 minutes early, but were told, somewhat snippily, that we would not be seated until EXACTLY 6:30. Unclear why that was, since the table was unoccupied. Everything else was pretty flawless. We ordered wine and were offered to try it before deciding, since it was also available by the glass! We shared six savory dished: the arugula salad, caramel chicken wings, cherry glazed beef, scallop risotto, mushrooms and asparagus, BBQ sliders. We were also given an order of sweet potato fries. Amazing! I would highly recommend and order everything again, except for the fries and asparagus, as they were fine but not extraordinary! We had chocolate cake and pot the creme for dessert - yum!"

  • "I love grabbing a quick lunch here! It is a great place to go by yourself or to bring a group. The small plate are perfect portions for one person, and great to share! Highly recommended!"

  • "Located inside the Burlington mall (second floor of the Nordstrom), this quiet, low light restaurant offers a series of tapas that will relax your mind after few hours of shopping in the crowd. 2-3 tapas per person is recommended. I went there in family with my wife and two daughters as for a Birthday celebration. Everyone was feeling good to find that island of quietness within the Burlington mall. We had few tapas to share: risotto, crab cakes, tacos, BBQ ribs (i do not recommend that choice as it looks like a pork shredded mini burger), an Argentinian wine,... Wine list includes Spanish, Italian, Argentina, California and Oregon wines (and few other countries I can't remember) Bring your iphone to read the menu as it is pretty dark."

  • "Food was pretty good. Everyone at the table seemed to like the food. Waitress was not very friendly or attentive at times. Seemed bothered that the table of five asked for separate tickets at the beginning of the meal."

  • "I went to Blue Stove with three girlfriends. We had a great time sharing the six plates we ordered. Everything was tasty and interesting. There were several vegetarian options. Service was attentive. They have an interesting wine list, too. I had a nice glass of Tempranillo. It was pretty quiet while we were in there at about 11:45 on a Sunday. I would definitely recommend this place."

  • "The food and wine is great here but the wait staff practices what in basketball would be called a zone defense with no particular waitperson assigned to your table. This means you can spend a lot of time asking different servers for a refill of the water glasses, or of the bread basket, with no results. In their thirst the water drinkers at your table start stealing their dinner partners' water. Not pretty. That said, the food was a great success and our group of five ordered and shared more than a dozen tapas-sized entrees! That agreement doesn't happen. The small kitchen area apparently cannot fit an espresso machine. Too bad so sad. So go when it isn't busy or buy a water bottle with your cappuccino at the eBar downstairs."

  • "I met a friend for lunch, neither of us having been to Blue Stove before. We each ordered a salad and then two other tapas to share. Everything I had was delicious: warm goat-cheese-beet salad, whtie cheddar bollitas, and—especially—faro risotto. And the rest of the menu items looked equally tasty; it was hard to choose just four items. Our waiter was very helpful too."

  • "We went just as a storm was picking up and we got to order one set of plates. Everything was great and the staff was really nice about it but once they closed the mall we had to go. We were also the only people in there at the time."

  • "Blue Stove was a great find! I went with a friend and we shared 3 plates: Blistered Szechuan Green Beans, Korean BBQ Short Rib Sliders, and Spinach & Fuji Apple Salad with Warm Bacon Dressing. The food was delicious, the prices reasonable, and the service was attentive. We shared two fantastic desserts and a French press pot of coffee which hit the spot! I have already recommended this restaurant to others."

  • "Great, inventive Tapas. We sat at the "bar" where they were making the food. Very clean and the staff was very friendly and nice. Waitress service even at the bar. The tacos were really great as was the miso Cod. I would not get the sweet potato fries again, they were good, but not special like everything else we had."

  • "We have been going to Blue Stove in Burlington for years. Always excellent! Love the tapas - each bite is so flavorful! Wine list is great. They have some great cookbooks that my wife enjoys cooking recopies from at home! One of our favorite restaurants! Highly recommend!"

  • "Blue Stove's location inside Nordstrom means it's small but also well hidden. Great ambience, delicious small plates, excellent service. Highly recommended. Ask for plates to be brought out one at a time if sharing."

  • "Be aware - it is a Tapas style menu. Everything was very fresh, well presented and flavorful. Between the two of use we shared 5 dishes - best was the chicken taco. Doesn't appear well suited for large groups - geared towards couples or double dates. We enjoyed the food and would return"

  • "The Blue Stove was recommended to me by someone who really enjoys good food. My husband and I enjoyed the night. The food was generally good. But it had the feeling of pre-prepared vs freshly prepared. I'm gluten-free and they had a number of good selections. The skirt steak was very tender. But I wasn't a fan of the Romesco sauce. They have very tasty salad plates and the creme brulee was delicious. They have a good wine selection. Overall I'd give it a B."

  • "We enjoy sharing and tasting different items on occasion, and this is one place to do just that. The food is very good, small portions allow you to taste a variety of things in one seating. Our server was great, very attentive and made our visit pleasant. Not cheap but you have lots of control over what you will spend. Try the spicy cherry glazed beef."

  • "We are never disappointed with our meals here! Very creative menu! If you have a chance to try the lettuce wraps, they are the absolute best. Unfortunately our server was not the greatest, it did not change how great our meal was. Make sure you have a reservation, as they fill up fast."

  • "This is my favorite place to grab lunch in the Burlington area. With friends it is great to get a couple things to share, by yourself you can go light with one dish or full on hungry with two. I love to sit at the bar and watch the cooks on the line. Great food, good wine, friendly staff. Truly an oasis in Burlington, mall or not!"
