In the heart of the York Beach, on the Short Sands, a historic renaissance has begun. The rehabilitation of The Atlantic House was undertaken in November of 2006. Blue Sky on York Beach fills the second floor with a warm and welcoming design. Old Maine favorites from both sea and land are featured on our menu by chef Leslee Bendz. Cream colored banquettes and booths are scattered throughout the room. The floors are red oak and the ceiling is white-washed poplar. The double-sided wood burning fireplace warms both the lounge and the dining room. In summertime, the porch opens to 60 seats and the bar is extended out into the breezes. The custom-built wood burning oven is circled by a food bar which seats sixteen guests.
