We made reservations since there was a live band playing (modern jazz, loud enough to be heard but not too loud to make conversation difficult...perfect). We arrived on time, were seated, and the evening began. Scotch on the rocks for me, a glass of red wine for the lady...then salads, and the main course. We got there early for our reservation for Happy Hour and they seated us at the edge of the bar area where we could remain for our dinner. It is very loud during happy hour so it made it a little hard to hear the music. The restaurant was efficient, without being brusque. We arrived on time for our reservation and were seated with a couple of minutes. Our waitperson was friendly and helpful with offering suggestions and opinions on menu choices. With four of us, two adults and two teenagers, we threw a pretty wide net in terms of menu selections. The PEI mussel appetizer was excellent for us 4 to share. The cured salmon salad stood out as unique and very tasty. The main dishes were all very good, but the portions were a little off. A few too many potatoes with the tenderloin and way too much pasta with Robertos Penne. We were hoping our first experience was not a fluke and we were definitely not disappointed! The food was even better than our first visit. The Beef Tenderloin dusted with espresso was amazing and we really hope it is still on the menu in 2014! The live jazz was soft and romantic. The service was impeccable. Bravo to the owner for creating such a lovely, warm, romantic establishment with fantastic food. Once seated they automatically brought out an appetizer and could not make us feel more welcome. The food was very good, especially the chicken Marsala and chocolate cake. Made a reservation on Open Table and were seated within 5 minutes of our reservation (with an apology that they were running a litte behind). Since it was our last night in Breckenridge, we went all out from salads for apps to entrees to dessert and they were all great. I highly recommend Scooter's Dark Side for a cocktail! I wish they had cappuccino to go with our desserts instead of regular coffee, but otherwise we had a great meal and I highly recommend.
