"Food was mediocre. Buffets are hard, but usually there are at least lots of options to balance out the fact that food are not perfectly hot & fresh. This was not the case here. Grocery store muffins, lack-luster fruit tray. Things that could have been impressive were just not. Great view, though. Fun to explore the hotel we weren't staying there) afterwards."

"We went to the Blue Ridge Dining Room for the breakfast buffet, which was recommended by a friend. The views from the dining room are gorgeous and it was fun to see and explore the Grove Park Inn as well. The made-to-order omelettes were delicious. The only down side, as can often be the case with buffets, was that other food is often hard for them to keep hot enough, even with the warmers. But there were lots of food options and overall it was a great dining experience."

"Grove Park Inn has it together - great brunch buffet variety and superb service. My girlfriend said the poached eggs were perfect and she is a tough critic as she has been in the food business in some form or fashion all of her adult life. Believe it or not, it is so hard to find restaurants that know how to properly poach an egg. The only problem I had is that there was so much variety that I couldn't try it all but I'll take that "problem" any day of the week! This is our second Easter brunch at the GPI and we thought it was better this year than last - and we were crazy about last year's Easter brunch."

"I have been going to and eating at the Grove Park in for over thirty years. This is the absolutely worse place to go now other than for the views. The brunch is sparse. they charge $33 per person for brunch and now charge for each drink you have of tea, hot, cold, coffee, oj, coke, etc. Plus now they charge for parking. I do not recommend this place to anyone. Although they have new owners now and maybe they will see the light and make this place the wonderful place that it used to be. Rude woman at the front desk of the restaurant who put you at the end of the line and did not seat you as you came in and took the large groups first. This is even though you have reservations. We had to wait thirty minutes with reservations"

"It has been a long time since our last visit and I understand that things change with time. It appears that the Sunset Terrace is the flagship dining area for the Grove Park Inn with the Blue Ridge Dining Room somewhat an afterthought. What I had remembered as a carpeted area near the windows is now tile; low lighting and booth seating has been replaced with brighter lighting and tables; the noise level has increased accordingly; and "resort casual" now appears to include tee shirts and blue jeans. My wife and I were uncomfortably overdressed. Also, parking is a substantial problem for people not staying at the inn. I had a very long walk to and from my car. Food options were wide-ranging and very good and service was outstanding."
