Blue Ribbon Sushi Izakaya
BLUE RIBBON ALWAYS COMES IN FIRSTAlways a pleasure eating at Blue Ribbon sushi. Always can't resist the Sushi platter for 4 and never fails!5/22/2013 12:00:00 AMBest Sushi! The ONLY spot we hit for sushi in the LES. This place is perfect in every way.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMFirst time to this Blue RibbonFirst time to this Blue Ribbon location on Lower East Side and enjoyed it every bit as much as the Blue Ribbon in the Village. Delicious and certainly my choice restaurant for all things Japanese!4/25/2013 12:00:00 AMEverything was wonderful -Everything was wonderful - food, service, ambiance. A+ experience!4/24/2013 12:00:00 AMIt's really stll a sushi restaurantIt's really stll a sushi restaurant, not an izakaya, in terms of the cuisine. The dinig room had long tables that were suitable for group dining, presumably to give it more of an izakaya feeling. I sat at the sushi bar and enjoyed fresh and creative appetizers, sashimi and sushi. The wine list by the glass was short but well selected. The music was a tad too loud, but i could carry on a conversation with my dining companion. I look forward to a return visit.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMSolid japanese restaurantWe really enjoyed the beef tenderloin skewers and the cocktails.
The interior design is beautiful.4/18/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had the omakase, so weWe had the omakase, so we didn't get to try any of the skewers. But the omakase was the best I've had, and was better than many of the more well known sushi restaurants in the city. We also got the Oxtail Bone Marrow fried rice because people were raving about it on yelp, and it was definitely worth it. One of my best meals in nyc!4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMI love this place! ServiceI love this place! Service is too notch, friendly waiters who are courteous, not afraid to share their opinions and insights into dishes and refilling drinks with a smile or asking if we'd like to order more from their buffet brunch - I didn't notice until about an hour in that my OJ glass was still full. Brunch was a combination if self service from the buffet which included general, decent sushi but not as spectacular as in their sushi branch with a delectable selection of mini viennoisorie. Not too crowded, not too loud, and excellent service.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMSunday Brunch perfection!Wonderful Sunday brunch experience. We opted to sit at booth located at entrance instead of main dining room communal tables for a quieter, more intimate setting.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMVery diverse menu so thereVery diverse menu so there is something for everyone. Sushi was great. Service was friendly and attentive. Would definitely recommend3/1/2013 12:00:00 AM
