Diner Reviews
  • "Quality sushi at a reasonable price. Service was also good where the staff was very attentive and informative. Same dependable service and food quality as the Blue Ribbon restaurants in New York."

  • "We love Blue Ribbon! We must have dined there at least 50 times and the food, service and ambiance is always excellent. The sushi is always super fresh, the fried chicken (yes I said Fried Chicken) is out of this world, the shumai is the best shumai I have ever had. The Zuke is a must try! They have a short wine list, but an extensive Saki and Japanese Beer list. The bartenders are AWESOME, too!! "

  • "Their food is always fresh and the service is top notch. Always ask about their specials, especially sushi specials."

  • "couldn't get a reservation at STK so we settled on sushi which is known to be good in vegas....service was great however the food was overpriced and nothing special...sashimi was delicious and very large pieces...blue ribbon roll was over powered by the caviar and didn't really stand out to us...also split the strip which should be served without the mayonnaise dipping sauce and swap out the fried white onion strips for an assortment of tempura vegetables. ginger bread pudding is a must and the coconut sorbet..would not return since there are a hundred other sushi restaurants to go to for much better quality and price value."

  • "The good was spectacular but the waitstaff was constantly trying to upsell everything. Order tap water and they suggest bottled. Order the $85 entree? They suggest the $100 entree"

  • "Blue Ribbon has become a staple in my Vegas plans. Open very late. Food is excellent. Service is very good. Atmosphere is very energetic. Good for a couple to small groups to 8. Highly recommend."

  • "I'm a local and this is my fourth time going to Blue Ribbon. It's my go to place for bringing friends in town visiting, because the experience is simply a "wow" every time. Our server was exceptionally knowledgeable and built a gorgeous platter of varietal sushi rolls, nigiri, and sashimi, and complemented the flavors with a crisp, sophisticated sake. The entire experience was colorful and delightfully elegant and sexy at the same time. Thank you so much."

  • "I had a great experience at the restaurant. We reserved a table at 8:15 pm and were seated immediately. I ordered a "saki kawa" which tasted like berries...very nice. 1 California King Crab Roll, A Dragon Roll and a Banzai Bunny. We later ordered another Dragon roll because it was THAT good. The avocado and fish were so fresh."

  • "Loved the atmosphere - lounge chairs, well lit, great music. Food was great - albeit very rushed. The waiter was not knowledgeable about the wine list at all. Duck gyoza, hotate, and wagyu sushi were all delicious."

  • "Group of 10 went it was amazing! Everyone was extremely impressed! We all loved it and said we would go back. We all got the chickens wings as an appetizer and I can not stop thinking about them"

  • "reserved via open table a month in advance but upon arrival we were seated in the bar area. When we declined the table we were told the only other space to sit was at the sushi bar, while there were plenty of tables open in the restaurant surrounding the sushi bar. BRS in NYC is the only Blue Ribbon Sushi one should ever eat at. This one in Vegas is too high volume to put out a quality product."

  • "Sushi was fair at best. It was a cool looking place. The service was very friendly but rushed, and the waiter's food suggestions were not good."

  • "What a great start to our weekend! Great food, excellent service and we all can't wait to visit again."

  • "I know, who would order fried chicken in a sushi restaurant? The answer is you should. This is four spicy fried pieces of heaven."

  • "My wife and I ordered the Toshi's Choice assortment of sushi and were very impressed. The first of two trays that we were served was the most beautiful, artistic display of food I have ever eaten. We liked everything we were served and loved many of the items. Our server wisely recommended that we only order one-and-a-half portions and there was still more than enough food. The wine list had a variety of sake. We tried 2 bottles - both delicious; we preferred the unfiltered. The ambiance was nice but the little things (paper napkins, cheap chop sticks) kept me from rating it 4 star. With food of this quality and beauty they should strive for the same level of presentation throughout. But if you love sushi, this is the place for you."

  • "Six of us went to The Blue a Ribbon Sushi Bar on a Monday evening. By 8:00 PM the restaurant was full and energetic. We had the "Special Platter". The presentation was fantastic and it tasted great also. The sushi was great, but, expensive. The wine list was also very good and expensive. All of the fine dining restaurants in Las Vegas are expensive so this was not unusual."

  • "My wife and I are foodies and we love sushi, especially in Vegas. This place was a huge disappointment. We loved the bone marrow fried rice that we started our meal with but everything after that was overpriced and mediocre at best. To many good sushi places on the strip to waste your money here."

  • "The waiter was great!!!!Food was very good, sushi and sashimi yumm!!! But they should do half portions for some of the dishes like: fried rice, chicken wings.. I would've tried the wings but too many in a portion since it was the two of us. The restaurant too small, not airy; I felt like I was in a cave. Very loud. I was there once before but it wasn't so crowded so the dining experience was more pleasant. As for desert: I couldn't find anything interesting especially since I m a chocoholic.:("

  • "We have done the omakase sushi tasting several times at Blue Ribbon. Last week's visit was very good but not quite up to previous ones. Both sakes we ordered were unavailable despite being on the list. Service was a little disorganized. The fish, as always, was superb. Sea trout, scallops, and sea bream were especially good."
    Dined on 2/17/2014
  • "Prix fix menu 5-7pm good value and tasty. Sashimi platters very nice quality but small portions and very expensive."
    Dined on 2/16/2014
  • "You may not think to get wings at a sushi restaurant, but you're seriously missing out if you don't! Absolutely loved this place! The server was wonderful. I didn't want the classic tuna, salmon, etc sushi dinner so he created a really unique sushi platter for me. The only downside of the restaurant was the hosting staff. They were not very friendly, and we waited 20 minutes for a table although we had a reservation, while a walk-in party of 5 was immediately sat after we checked in. Will definitely be back when I'm in Vegas again!"

  • "Blue Ribbon was awesome! We went for Bachelorette party. They gave us complimentary shots that was SO GOOD! But I think it was because I requested during reservation to make the party extra special for the Bride to Be. That was super cool Blue Ribbon kept their words! We ordered Sushi, their special fried chicken and Filet Mignon, every dish was amazing! One of my top best Sushi so far! The Restaurant seem small but it's not, it is a very good size. I love the dim lighting, decors and the energy level of the atmosphere. I would definitely recommend Blue Ribbon to anybody and any occasion. You HAVE TO try! Amazing, delicious, so yummy, memorable food! Great job Blue Ribbon!!! I'll be back!"

  • "Blue Ribbon was fine, I'm not sure any one of us was overwhelmed. It had high points and mediocre points. My comments are that for a restaurant at this level (3 ppl = $450), I was a bit annoyed with the seating. We were seated in the front section at a table that had a thermostat on the wall and one of those big plastic covers. I kept awkwardly hitting my head and my hands on the big plastic cover. Additionally, that table is right next to the waiter station so our waiter, upon overhearing our conversation, several times jumped into the conversation which, although he was friendly enough, wasn't really appropriate. We didn't want to interrupt the flow of our night to be moved, but really, there should not be a table in that location AT ALL."

  • "Maybe our favorite restaurant in Vegas the Super Bowl of chefs. We always take out of town guests there because it is so unique. Like that it stays open very late."

  • "Our third trip to Blue Ribbon Sushi in Vegas. Great service and great food. One exception: the yellowtail sushi was...not great. Not even good. Very surprised, as this was one of the best things the last time we went."
    Dined on 1/26/2014
  • "Very, very average. There is a sushi place in the financial district in NYC where you sit at a basic table with plastic cutlery and the sushi is more than half the price - I would rather eat there any day, the quality of the food is so much better. There is just nothing t tell you about this place. The food was very average. Its' not cheap. The service was quite good. Oh yes, the lychee martini isn't bad actually, but really, that's the only thing I can recommend. Really dull meal. No melt-in-the-mouth feeling one normally gets from great sashimi. Also, the rolls were tiny, completely underwhelming to both look at and taste. That's about all I can tell you."

  • "Eaten here twice in 2 months. Sushi is spectacular! All the faves: Chu-toro, o-toro, uni, mirugai. Great rolls. Sake is great, too! I can't wait to go back."
