  • "We had the delmonico steak and coconut shrimp. The steak was expertly prepared, cooked medium rare and topped with truffle fries. My coconut shrimp were large, succulent and the mango salsa to dip them in was great. They have wonderful bread to accompany the meal. The restaurant has an above average wine list. The wines that are served by the glass come in 5 and 8 oz. pours so you can decide how much you want. We eat here several times a year and have never been disappointed."

  • "As regular diners here, the food is dependably good, staff friendly, prices reasonable. Nice cross section of items from sushi, steak, seafood, sandwiches, etc. The new pasta entree needs to be replaced with something more exciting as there is a lot of competition for pasta these days. Hard not to find something for the hard to please. A recent makeover has made atmosphere a bit more sophisticated. However corporate didn't budget in rain curtains for outdoor diners. It rains which forces everyone to scramble off the patio. Digital pads replaced paper menus which only adds benefit of seeing photos of the food. Money would have been better spent on that rain protection. Everyone we have recommended to dine here always comes away very happy."

  • "While sitting outside, we enjoyed a wonderful meal. I had the Chilean Sea Bass and it was cooked to perfection. My wife had the petite filet cooked to order and it was exactly how she liked it. Some places will either overcook or undercook. If you want some of the best tasting key lime pie....this is the place to go. The staff was ready to get you anything you want. Came around often to make sure we didn't need anything. Definitely a great choice."

  • "We had reservations and although there was a crowd of walk-ins we were seated immediately abeit in the bar. The hostess seemed to be overwhelmed with the large crowd. Our request to be moved was handled very nicely by one of the managers and we were seated in a booth . Our server was very good at explaining the menu and we were well served throughout the meal. The meals we had were excellent and well prepared. This is the noisiest restaurant we have ever encounted which made our evening a little less enjoyable."

  • "I have been to this seafood restaurant numerous times. It has never disappointed me. There is always a large selection of seafood items. They also have some other items on the menu for non-seafood people. Their bread is wonderful. The hostess, Nancy, went out of her way to make sure we were seated at a table of our choosing."

  • "Went here for an romantic/enjoyable evening and did not receive that. Had reservations thru main street ventures online for a time and an inside table. Did not get seated inside and was told we would have to wait 30min if we wanted to eat inside. Service was fair waiter had limited knowledge. Went to order and they were out of Lobster Tails and also Triple sec. For the amount we ended up paying I did not think it was worth the money. I have had better experiences at less expensive places. Overall not satified for the amount of money we spent and the experience we received. I have gone to less expensive places and have had a much better experience. More than likely wont go back there and wouldnt recommend it to family or friends."

  • "Greeted sweetly upon entering the restaurant frm the lovely hostesses, askd kindly if we wanted inside or outside dining- chose outside to njoy the warm weather & be in our one of our fav server's(Dave) area- super prompt service, delicious fresh, yummy oysters & sushi, lovely cobb salad. Wonderful night! Had 2 doz raw Katama's- each dozen had 1 "bad" one which was swiftly replaced by a fresh new oyster upon relaying the news to Dave-our expert server! Wonderful meal & great feeling in the newly remodeled rest!"

  • "We were visiting family in Ft. Myers. My husband was wanting raw oysters and a beer so I did a search and Blue Point popped up. It was absolutely delish! My husband and dad split the happy hour oysters (3 orders of them), plus we had calamari, shrimp, fish tacos and California rolls. The menus are interactive so you can see exactly what you will be ordering and there is a wine pairing for the dishes as well. Creme brulee was the best we've had. I would highly recommend this spot! We ate on the covered patio and had a truly enjoyable evening all the way around! We'll be back next year!!"

However several aspects of our meal were not good accompanying Ceasar salad had a miniscule dollop of dressing, the mashed sweet potato had sugar added making the vegetable inedible. The lobster roll was so soggy that the claim of using fresh lobster could be disputed. Tasted more like frozen canned."

  • "We have eaten at Blue Pointe at least once each time we visit Fort Myers. We missed a couple of opportunities when they closed for remodeling in December. But they're back, good as ever. It's the best place I know for oysters on the half-shell. Great way to start a meal. Their seafood is fresh and expertly prepared. Our server was just marvelous. Their location in the upscale Bell Tower Shops makes them easy to find, and the quality of the restaurant is appropriately matched to the surroundings. I recommend reservations, particularly for dinner-time during "the season." Off-season, we have had little difficulty being seated for lunch without reservations."

  • "Blue Pointe is one of our favorite restaurants and this is the first time we have dined there since their remodel. We really like the new look and the tablet menu which is very easy to use. I had the Parmesan Sole which was outstanding, however my husband wasn't as happy with his beef tenderloin. The service was not very good this particular evening. We waited way too long on drinks and oysters, and had to ask where they were from another waiter. We feel this was just an off experience which happens now and then and will definitely be back to give it another try."

  • "My wife and I have been coming to Bistro 41 for over ten years, and we like this restaurant because of its location. It's a great place for lunch and it's a good choice if my wife and i are dining alone or when the restaurant is not full. However, the manager, servers, and kitchen staff seem to consistently come unglued when there are large parties or when the restaurant is full. Last evening, we booked a table for 6 Our server was very personable and took our orders promptly, but we waited for an inordinate time for our food to arrive. Two people had lukewarm entrees. We also had to flag down a food runner for the second round of drinks. This could be a GREAT restaurant if the owners can find a way to improve service."

  • "This place was recommended by my wife's parents. Our food was great. Between the four of us we had oysters, shrimp cocktail, blackened back grouper, fried sol, and cocconut shrimp. All of which were excellent! The service was attentive. Prices were reasonable. We sat outside. Great weather but the view is of the parking lot."

Our mussels appetizer was delivered promptly, but the entrée took forever to arrive. The waiter recommended a nice Albarino wine. Not a bad experience, but you can do better in south Florida."

  • "Portions were skimpy at best for the price. Tasty but didn't wow enough for a return. Menus are an electronic tablet not paper with no instructions to see food presentation. Waiter had to show us on its use...Not user friendly. Our waiter was rather drab gave the impression first night on the job. Wasn't very well versed on food or drink venues. Rather slow and unattentive. Took forever to get the check. Wouldn't recommend or plan on returning."

  • "Sat outside and heaters made it very comfortable. Inside nicely done but not much seating. Went to bar prior to dinner -- great chairs -- and the oysters were awesome! Martini list lame though. And Happy hour only on beer/wine - no liquor. Dinner bread very good and served fresh out of the oven. Prior reviews raved about the blue cheese coleslaw, but didn't find it anything special and was soggy -- will go with salad next time. Some items on the menu had smaller portion options -- much cheaper too. Also, if you want eat more than just a main dinner - and want to save room for appetizers/soup/salad/desserts -- the smaller portion is ideal. Overall service, well, was not good. Inexperienced staff who seemed to try but didn't have it together."

  • "Chose Blue Pointe based on relative's recommendation. Seafood prepared to perfection. Blue point oysters fresh and delicious . Warm homemade bread is mouthwatering. Try the gazpacho , which is flavorful and filled with delicious chopped vegetables , a tasty addition of sour cream and a surprise shrimp. We enjoyed the food so much that we returned for lunch later in the week"

  • "We started with oysters on the half shell; very fresh and good. Blackened grouper was good, although the picture on the electronic menu showed it being served with what appeared to be a remoulade and there was none. (I had asked the server for the preparation style that was pictured. She guessed blackened, but I wonder if it was actually grilled.) Even so, I would definately go back there when I'm in the area. I think the i-pad style menus are a nice touch too."
