We were an hour late for our reservations. We called ahead. They said "No problem, come when you can". Once we arrived, we were really short on time and told the waitress. She put a rush on our order. When we said we'd need a cab to get us to our show, she went out to the curb, flagged a taxi and made sure they waited until we had finished our meal. She really went out of her way to make sure we had a great meal. Even though we were rushed, she did everything to make sure we had a wonderful time. Food was amazing and we can't wait to go back and enjoy this fantastic restaurant when we're not rushed. Went specifically for Copper River Salmon, and had called two days ahead of time to make sure they would have it on the menu. Was told they would have it for another week or two. Unfortunately, we were told by our waitress the season was over and they had not had it for at least a week. The mixed green salad was excellent, however was underwhelmed with the Grouper. The food was amazing, even my picky boyfriend loved it! They gave us free creme brûlée for our anniversary, and the staff was friendly and respectful. Lobster Rangoon was excellent, Ahi Tuna tartar was some of the best I have had, raw oysters were also excellent and very fresh, would not order again due to price. Waiter was helpful in recommending wine and entrees, Filet Mignon Oscar and My Blue Point Heaven were 2 of the best dishes I have ever tasted in my life. I had the halibut special which was cooked perfectly. My husband had the crab cakes and claimed they were the best he's ever tasted. Service was smooth and efficient. We shared with our server that we had tickets to a play and needed to leave the restaurant at a certain time. She was most accommodating. Service was not rushed but timed perfectly and we were out of the restaurant in plenty of time to make it to our play. The seafood preparations are perfect and beautifully complimented. The tomato bisque is wonderful and the mixed green salad has a lovely vinaigrette, although a little over-dressed. The chocolate quintet dessert is heaven. This visit on Mother's Day was during the afternoon and the restaurant was not as busy as weekend evenings but that didn't take away from the service or the food. Both were up to their usual excellent standards. Was impressed that the place was full on a Wed. Service was attentive but not overbearing. Food was excellent. Wife had a filet that was cooked perfectly. I had shrimp and lobster (with terrific lobster mashed) and it was also excellent. Had two drinks which were pricey but worth it.
Made a reservation on Opentable and noted that it was our anniversary. They not only gave us the best table in the front corner (table 11, surrounded by windows with a nice view of the 2 building skyline) but also delivered a complimentary and tasty creme brulee' without me saying a word.
That kind of service is what you expect from a place this and is exactly what we got.
