Public Transit: Eco Transit, our valley wide bus system stops just two blocks away at the Avon Station. Depart the bus and walk West to HWY 6 and then walk one block South. We are on HWY 6 to the right. For the Avon bus system, get off at the Christie Lodge and cross the street.

The Blue Plate opened December of 2007 and instantly gained a following of tourist and locals alike. Recently, we grew out of our small space and moved to a larger location and expanded the menu. Located just down the hill from Beaver Creek you can enjoy Schnitzel everyday, all natural Colorado… steaks, fondue, and the numerous popular dishes Chef Adam serves up that have been a staple to the Vail Valley.Continued

"Excellent evening. The only disappointment was the lack of "duck" on the menu which my eldest was looking forward to as he enjoyed this entree the last time we ate at the restauraurant. However the chocolate fondue made up for the lack of duck!!!!"

"After big lunch, we just wanted a light dinner and we weren't disapointed. Very good salads and the a delicious cheese fondue were just right. Other people's dishes looked really good also. A very nice wine list complements the menu. We'll definetly go back."

"On the last night of a ski trip, we wanted good food and a memorable evening. We hit the jackpot! I ordered the trout and it was unbelievable. They were even agreeable to leaving off the potatoes and sub-ing spinich. My husband and teenage children ordered fantastic things and everyone was happy. It was a great recommendation and made a very picky person (myself) very happy."

"it was OK nothing great, It took me some time to even decide what to eat. the menu is not that attractive. the service was fine but they charge $1.00 for an extra roll. it is just tacky."

"What a wonderful surprise. The Blue Plate Bistro used to be in the Christy Lodge and was OK, but just ordinary.... Now that the BPB has moved to this beautiful new venue and added more exciting items to the menu we were totally blown away. Just loved it!!"

"I read some mixed reviews on this restaurant and wanted to see for myself after it was recommended by a local who works at the ski resort....I have a condo near it and have not been that impressed with Vin 48 the last few visits Seriously, I wonder if the negative comments were by people that actually ate the food?? I had the fondue and artichoke hearts and they were fantastic. Ate at the bar, and bartender was terrific, all in all great and friendly experience."

"The choice of food is poor, knowing that the owners are of austrian and syrian origin, you would expect something out of ordinary. out of 5 appetizers we were only able to choose 2 for a party of 6, nothing else sounded good. entrees are smaller size and did not stand out. service was horrible. the server was only concentrated on himself, did not want to do anything extra for us....at the end of the night sat at the table and asked if we needed help figuring out his tips....not coming back...."

"The first inedible meal that I have had in years. In a dining group of four, two diners ate a few bites of a pasta dish and left the rest--since when has someone ruined spaghetti and meatballs? The bouillabaisse was oily and left half uneaten. The fourth diner had passable duck with vegetables that were half-cooked and left uneaten. I have never written a negative review of a restaurant--I do not want to trash someone's business. But here, you have a question of an upscale restaurant in a resort town doing the opposite: ruining someone's vacation."
