She was so nice, helpful and accommodating to my friend and dining companion who is lactose intolerant. The food was delicious, I had the flank steak and pea leaves, which are my favorite veggie without question. The food was excellent....and so was the dessert. We sat outside since it was the most gorgeous day in SF. Highly recommend sitting in the back patio!
Recommendation, their large plates are BIG, so split a small plate, a large plate and a dessert and you'll walk out feeling satisfied, but not too full.

Though the space seems very cramped it is still very comfortable, and the food is always phenomenal. Service was spot on, food was off the hook, and while the noise level is high, we expected that and everyone enjoyed it. We had requested seats the bar which you can't actually reserve, because the friend we were taking out for his birthday loves watching the dynamic choreography of the chefs in the small kitchen creating the amazing food. So, we were seated in the beautiful garden to wait for the bar to open up and besides having to slap each other's foreheads a few times to kill mosquitoes, we loved it and enjoyed the water and wine they brought us until they whisked us away to the bar for an absolutely stellar meal - as usual.3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMI visited because the ownerI visited because the owner is an old family friend, and my husband and I were visiting San Francisco.
