Nice young lady was our waitress, she took care of us without any fuss, very nice. The ambience is very nice with white tablecloths, our food was very good.   • "Dined on Sunday evening, 6/30 with four adults for a special occasion birthday dinner. The wait staff was polite, but a little too procedural, leaving you with the impression, that they treated you exactly the same as the last 50 tables they served. The dining room was one large monochromatic yellow room, lacking character, separate dining spaces or niches; and was bland and uninspiring. Then there was the food. Two of us were ill for 24 hours after enjoying the calamari, steak was mealy and the frites were soggy and absorbed all the oil they were cooked in. The sirloin salad was awful and my guests were quiet about their meals, being very polite. I would not be returning."

  • "This is an absolutely Beautiful restaurant, great space, decor & atmosphere. Unfortunately the staff hindered or experience between the server who didn't have any answers to or questions & didn't clear a dish from any of our courses until the end of the meal, the manager on his cell phone at the front door, the busses leaving buckets of dirty dishes near us....just bizarre considering how great of a space this is. We were also celebrating a special occasion (notes on our res) & no one so muh as mentioned it. Again, just a buzzard experience."

  • "First, the food is very good and nice menu. Our server was lovely, a bit forgetful, but lovely. The evening we went was very warm so they had the front portion of the restaurant "open dining". Although in theory it is nice to be outside, in fact HIghland Ave is a VERY busy street and there were several times Emergency vehicles went by with sirens on....not really all that nice a view or sound. The concept is appealing but it really does not add to the dining experience. Our meals were quite delicious and we will definitely be going again."

  • "Blue's menu is more appealing than the actual quality of Blue's food. I had risotto, and it was more of a regular rice grain than a risotto grain. In addition, it tasted fairly generic and was nothing special for the fact that it was $18. The atmosphere of the restaurant is more of an upscale chain and overall, I don't think it is worth the price."

  • "we all liked the food, very tasty, the table was fine but too close to the bar, we could hardly hear each other talk. We asked for a booth far from the bar but was told only four could sit their, we are small people and to us we definitely could have sat there but they were adamant about it and wouldn't even let us try. This unfortunately set the feeling for the beginning of the night. We ended up having a wonderful time but because of the people, in the future we will take this into account before going there."

  • "I came with some trepidation for my elderly mother's birthday dinner, with my son. All three of us loved the place! Great food, attentive service, the windows were open to the warm evening, she could hear us even with a crowd. Even a sparkler in our birthday shared dessert. A lovely evening for us!"

  • "Coming from the north shore, this us a good spot to meet friends from Framingham. We enjoyed a casual dinner, splitting some burgers and salads. The kitchen was kind enough to split the salads. The sweet potato fries were yummy but one batch was slightly burned. The wait staff was courteous, efficient, and helpful."

  • "There is a nice atmosphere in this little restaurant, making it feel trendy. It is popular and noisy; if something could be done to keep the noise down that would help. The food was good. I didn't like my first drink, a cocktail with prosecco. It was served over ice, which was not a good idea, and maybe a mistake. But dinner was tasty and the Creme brûlée was delicious. "

  • "My family and I have enjoyed this restaurant before and never had a problem. This Mother's Day was a different story. The service was very slow. We never got any bread for the table. I ordered a pomegranate cosmo which was just okay. During the course of the meal it was spilled twice by two seperate staff people leaving me with a soaked table setting. It was never replaced. My entree was terrible and I did not eat it. My daughter's pizza was mediocre. We ordered dessert which was a slight improvement. I also ordered a glass of prosecco to replace the cosmo. It was bitter. I kept looking around to see if there was a hidden camera because it really just kept getting worse. The waiter was very nice and comped our desserts and my entree."

Appeared to be kitchen problems, perhaps related to the large number of diners, and poor coordination between cooks, and wait staff. Could not recommend this restaurant to others for special occaisions unless there is improvement in service. May give it another try however."

  • "I was taking a special friend to a birthday dinner and found this restaurant on Open Table. I thought this was a very nice experience all around. The ambiance was very nice, the noise level was lively but comfortable, the food was excellent, and we had a delightful waitress. One thing I particularly liked was that all the food arrived nice and hot. A wine lover might think that the wine list was not extensive, but for me there was a nice range of wines and prices. I look forward to visiting this restaurant again."

  • "Met up with friends after work for great cocktails and dinner. Good portions of fresh, fresh food well prepared. Attentive service and an understated, yet comfortable ambience make Blue a popular local destination. A good selection of tasty food makes choosing a difficult decision, but you really can't go wrong. Too many sun-dried tomatoes kind of overpowered the shrimp risotto, but it was perfectly prepared. Lemon creme brulee was light and silky smooth, but could have used a bit more lemon punch. Still these are mere quibbles. (And we haven't had the courage to try the chocalate cake for the table ....). If you need a good place for dinner with friends or clients, you really couldn't do better than Blue - go!"

We did notice that when the place filled up there was some extra ambient noise, but nothing that made it difficult to have a conversation. We would go back..."

After waiting a very long time to put in our order, we had to call the waitress over to ask her to do this. She seemed very irritated by this & then with a very rude attitude, she took our order. It's too bad she gave us such a bad impression since all other aspects of the dining experience were very nice."
