They have great food that you don't see on most menus in the tri-state area. Their wait staff is top notch and very attentive. loved it! Even if you don't go to dinner here, I highly recommend you join the fantastic bartenders and performers for any and all of the nightly entertainment! Some friends went two weeks ago and said how good it was. As we have a standing brunch date with another couple, we always go to another restaurant, well they weren't available, so on a whim I decided we should try the Blue Moon again. It was truly a wonderful experience. The bacon pecan monkey bread was fantastic! I wished it was bigger! Our order was cooked perfectly and delivered with a smile and flair! After going to the other restaurant for so long we have been spoiled by the mimosas and "bloodies" which we found a little pricey, since the other place includes the 1st one with your order. I don't say that lightly given I live in Chicago and travel all over the world looking for great restaurants and great food. Incredible wine list with hard to find napa wines. Great house made charcuterie with delicious beet ketchup and grainy honey mustard. One of the most incredible foie gras preps I have ever had: generous portion of seared foie on homemade brioche w hazelnut butter, apple and other accoutrement. Incredible pappardelle and wild boar bolognese. Delicious dessert. Waiter brought us our dessert with a mini dessert of the second option we considered. We had some of the best service we have ever had. I read the reviews and most were very good and some not so great. We decided to try and was very impressed. The food was delicious and the presentations of the food and drinks was very creative,. (Who would thing wax lips would come as a decoration on my delicious drink) The only down side was that it was a little warm, especially near the kitchen. The waiter was great and knewthe menu well and gave good suggestions. Itis a small place and you have to book early, esp in the summer. We started with an order of doughnuts (most did not like them) and scones (one order of chocolate chip and the other had a raspberry glaze on it). Everyone agreed the scones were delicious. The food is consistently excellent with ample portions and beautifully prepared and presented. The wine list is extensive and also top-notch (and not too crazy pricey). The staff is almost always spot on, and even if it is a bit weak it's still better than just about anyone, anywhere.
