A word from Blue Fin - New York
Set in the sleek W Hotel Times Square setting, Blue Fin oohs and aahs its audience with a prominent raw bar, extensive sushi menu and much more! Unwind at either of Blue Fin's two bars and sip a seasonal cocktail or glass of wine from the 400+ bottle wine list. Up early for a matinee or just on your way to the office? Blue Fin gets the early riser going with smoothies and fresh squeezed juices, in addition to power-packed breakfast offerings featuring farm-fresh ingredients. To create this two-story, 400-seat dining spectacle in the epicenter of the most exciting city in the world, design firm Yabu Pushelberg provided original features as an expansive sparkling wall of highly polished mirror, glowing resin tables, and a floating staircase that leads to live music upstairs. • "Picked Blue Fin only for fish selections..Loved finding out Location was so easy and around the corner from our Idina Menzel show! Sat upstairs .. Great food. " Towers" of fish are great!! Fast moving staff.. Work hard to get you in and out in time for your shows ! Will be back!"

  • "Good, fresh seafood in a bi-level, spacious setting. Attractive decor. Loved the brussel sprout caesar salad."

  • "Food and service were excellent. We sat upstairs where the noise level was moderate. Going through the lower level you could tell it was very energetic. We were going to a play and they were very mindful of that. I have paid a lot more for a lot less elsewhere."

  • "You can't beat the location for pre- theater dining. The staff knows how to get you in and out without making you feel hurried. The spring rolls and dumplings were terrific and the simply grilled salmon was exactly that."

  • "The Best Halibut every time I've eaten there. Excellent service. Great for "people watching" and having a drink at the street level bar."

  • "It's been more than a year snce we ate at the Blue Fin. Had theater tickets so we decided to try it again as it's location is very good. Sit upstairs for less noise. THe server was very good and our food was very good as well. I had red snapper and wife had Bornzino. Both were prepared very well and both were very good. Started with 1 dozen cherrystones, fresh and ice cold and wife has soup. Not as hot as she likes but they tood care of that and brought her a hot soup ASAP. Split homemade sorbet and headed to show. In at 530pm out by 720pm. More than enough time to catch any show. Seen a lot of people showing up at 6pm for pre theater. That's cutting it very close. We like to take our time with dinner."

  • "Go to Blue Fin often before the theater (and sometimes late since it's open). Delicious sushi and fresh seafood dishes. Service is prompt and often there is too much time before theater starts!"

  • "Friend recommended it and our experience there was great. Great location, good food & great service!"

  • "Best part of this restaurant is that you can usually Get a table because it is so large. Fish is wonderful And they accommodated all sorts of special "No this or that." Only drawback was the noise."

  • "We keep going back to Blue Fin since they give us one of the corner tables in one of the side upstairs rooms. It is very quiet there and we are able to talk while eating the excellent food before the theatre. They always make sure we get to the theatre on time."

  • "Hard to believe that in the heart of Times Square is such an amazing restaurant! It surpassed my expectations on ambiance and quality of food. We had breakfast and dinner there. Both I highly recommend. You will not be disappointed."

  • "I was in Manhattan with some friends and we were in the mood for sushi. Picked this place because it had a lot of positive reviews. I don't really have anything negative to say about the place but it wasn't exactly great either. We should have expected that Times Square would be a place for touristy places and not necessarily food of the highest quality. Waiter was pleasant, the hostess was pleasant, the food was ok. Cool looking place and very busy, which is good. I don't know that I would go again or recommend it. A friend from Manhattan joined us and said "locals don't really eat at Times Square" so maybe that is the key."

  • "The Blue Fin is our favorite spot in the theatre district. The variety of the menu is great and everything we have chosen has been excellent. The wait staff is very pleasant and accommodating."

  • "Had another great brunch. Our waiter was excellent - very friendly and knowledgable of the menu."

  • "Our first night in NY we ate at Blue Fin because seafood met our dietary restrictions. I had the shrimp dumplings and my friend the short rib for appetizers. Both were excellent. We also had halibut with gnocchi and mushrooms for mains. Delicious but a fairly small portion of fish for the price. Of course it is NY and Times Square so what can you expect."

  • "I like coming here for lunch on weekdays when it is not very crowded. Bar scene gets busier in the evening. The Blue Fin martini is delicious."

  • "I try to go to Blue Fin as often as I can. Food is always fabulous, service is impeccable and they always make sure we are good on time for a show!"

  • "We had a 6:45 p.m. reservation. We got stuck on a train and didn't arrive until 7:15 p.m. We had tickets to see a Broadway show at 8 p.m. Instead of brushing us aside, they immediately seated us, took our drink and dinner order and had the food out 20 minutes later. The service was incredible. The food was delicious (specifically, the steamed shrimp dumplings and halibut), and we were able to get to the show on time!"

  • "My friend and I came for lunch before a Saturday matinee. I had viewed the menu online and perhaps I missed something about the lunch menu only being available during the week. However, we both found some fabulous selections on the brunch menu. The staff was extremely courteous and attentive. Our food was served promptly. The atmosphere and decor were great. We enjoyed everything about our visit. I will definitely be back!"

  • "This is my second time at this restaurant. The first time was for Restaurant Week. The food was so good and the service excellent so I decided to bring one of my other friends one day after work before we went to a Broadway play. Again the service and food was excellent."

  • "Blue Fin came highly recommended for a pre theatre dining venue. The location and ambiance are great. The service was excellent. The food was good, but my entrée was not even warm when it was served. Overall it was good, but could have been better if the food was hot when served"
    Dined on 3/1/2014
  • "The food, service, and atmosphere are fantastic. The location makes it so easy to have a great meal and leisurely stroll to the theatre less than a half block away. We will be back!"

  • "I like this restaurant for its excellent location in the theater district. Food is good, and they are very good at making sure you finish in time for your theater."

  • "We went to this restaurant for a late-night theater dinner. The downstairs bar was really busy, but the restaurant portion (where we sat) was empty. It was also really dark (and not a good, ambiance dark). The service was non-existent (we saw our person twice--had to flag down other people to get anything!) and the food was awful! The fish was tough and not flavorful. Very disappointed as we dined here once before and thought it was pretty good. We will not return however after this terrible experience."

  • "First it's location is outstanding. It is across from TKTS on Broadway. The front door needs an upgrade, looks very shabby but the inside is vibrant. We ate upstairs which we loved. Very upscale and comfortable. We had six adults on the round booth seating. We were all able to talk and see each other. It was perfect. Complimentary drinks to start. The meal was really good. Some had breakfast food and the rest did blueberry pancakes or the French toast. Our meals were very good. The staff was attentive. I would definitely recommend. We would definitely eat there again."

  • "We had a perfect lunch before going to the theater. We were not rushed but the service and food were excellent. We were able to talk easily and were not bothered by the noise of other diners. We enjoyed the decor and felt it made our day just more special."

  • "Met my sister for Sunday brunch in Times Square. Blue Fin was a great choice. The lobster Benedict and the egg white frittata were both excellent. Generous portions full of flavor. The Sumatra blend coffee was especially good. The fresh squeezed orange juice was delicious, but perhaps a little pricey at $7. Everything else felt well worth the price. Friendly service."

  • "Blue Fin is a stylish 2 level space, with gracious service and fresh, delicious food. We were all pleased with our orders (which ran the gamut from the day's special soup ,brussel sprout caesar, sushi, fish and chicken) and we were able to get out to our show with time to spare without ever feeling rushed."
