Blue Coyote Bar & GrillGreat way to arriveThe Blue Coyote was a great lunch stop following the drive down from L.A. My husband and I both got the fish tacos. He had them the way they came. I substituted the steamed veggies in place of the rice and beans. Great as the fish is grilled rather than fried. Margi on the side and we were both very happy. The margaritas are fantastic, but watch out of the Wild Margarita - more than two may make you a little two friendly!! The food is always excellant. Vibrant ambiance & suitable for family dining.Service was efficient. Our server was attentive & polite. We had a table of 8 that included 2 young children & he was excellent with them.He was also very honest. We were not aware that the policy was an automatic 17% tip on tables of 6 or more. I tipped suitably based on the owed amount & he returned the bill & explained the gratuity was included & that I had paid too much. Admirable ad I would not have noticed.4/4/2013 12:00:00 AMCan't Miss with Blue CoyoteOne of our GO-To places for years. Ambiance is romantic, relaxing. Food never disappoints. When we have friends in town and want to impress them and just relax with them, off we go to Blue Coyote. They love it. Also, nice for special meals out together - just the two of us..or for a treat after a long day. Their Special Margarita is a favorite. Prices are reasonable for this level of cuisine. Not a steal, but you don't have to mortgage the house to go there either.
Go at night when the beautiful Palm Springs sky is lit with stars and sit among the fountains and flowers and be delighted by the food.
If it's cold go inside. If you plan on walking through the crush of the Thursday night market, this makes a great place to start for dinner. You will need a dinner reservtion and Open Table makes that easy to do. But, when we asked to move to a more suitable area under the stars there was no problem in that and we were given a better location.
Staff was very attentive and helpful and food was quite good. We enjoyed sitting out on the patio and watching the busy streets of Palm Springs in the evening. We understand why Blue Coyote is a favorite of visitors and locals.
