Blue Canyon Kitchen & Tavern offers a unique experience unlike any other. A majestic log cabin, reminiscent of those gracing the national parks out West, sits atop a sandstone buff in the most unlikely of places: Twinsburg, Ohio. Its presence welcomes wary guests to enjoy a retreat from everyday life, while enjoying the culinary creations of award-winning Executive Chef Brandt Evans. Guests are invited in to enjoy creative American cooking in one of six-nature inspired dining rooms each offering a unique dining destination, from the splendor of the Great Room to the intimacy of the Porch. During the summer from Memorial Day up to Labor Day guests who enjoy outdoor dining can mingling with friends & family on our Patio, complete with a water feature, fire pit, full bar & brick oven.Continued

We had our 40th wedding anniversary there in 2006, and have gone back on anniversaries, usually. This time we were treating a friend who did some special kindness for us this last month and all the family was grateful Food is consistently good and atmosphere is lovely."

  • "I had asked to be placed in a corner area as this was primarily a business dinner. They placed in a quiet corner in an unused spot in the restaurant. I couldn't have asked for a better place. The waiter was extremely patient as business was being discussed before we even looked at the menu. It was probably 45 minutes before we were even ready to order and he was extremely understanding. He brought us drinks and stepped away quickly as not to intrude. I would come here again and again."

  • "We had a special day for 3 of our grandchildren. 2 birthdays and a confirmation at church. Our meal and waiter was first class. The only negatives were they did nothing at all to recognize the childrens birthdays or the confirmation of the thirds other than say happy birthday. We were a little surprised. The second surprise was the prices of the drinks. Very high. I have never paid over $12 for a manhatten and will never should I go there again. $7 for a draft beer is also one of the highest in looking over the bill. Other than that the overall experience was great."

  • "Went there with my wife and three other couples. We were seated at an oval table that allowed everyone to converse easily. Table overlooked the wooded valley to the east. In addition to being a great view, it complimented the decor of the restaurant very well. Menu is not very large but there were a sufficient number of choices to please any palate. Our group had a mix of seafood, wild game and steaks. Everyone agreed that their meal tasted wonderful. Our server, Mary, was properly attentive and friendly.This place is not cheap but, for a great meal with friends, it was well worth it. Would definitely go back!"

  • "Our first time visit to CB. I chose to sit facing the window instead of sitting by the window facing the dining room. I believe my waitress was a bit irritated over this. Mary, the waitress, proceeded to lean in front of me every time she served the person to my right, instead of walking behind me. Very rude and unprofessional. All the other staff walked ariund each guest, and the busers/helpers did as well. M She was pleasant, enough and timely with the serving. The food was hot and very good. I feel the prices were a bit expensive, and the "view" they raved about, and that I was expecting, was dampened, by the roof of the shopping mall, the lower parking lot, and the interstate."

  • "Blue Canyon has a great reputation. So automatically when you walk in expectations are higher. Our server was really nice and the seating location was beautiful. We were celebrating with a party of 7. I'm torn because as the night went on the following transpired: Piece of plastic found in an order of potatoes. Taken away immediately. New order given. But only the server apologized. This plastic was large enough to choke someone. Where was the Manager? Next an order of scallops in butter sauce was delivered in cream sauce. Not normally a big deal but the recipient has a dairy allergy. Drink orders and water refills were slow. The checks were all incorrect. Again just higher expectations."

  • "I've dined here before and know that the dining room is terribly loud - a lot of echoing and nothing to dampen the sounds. I specifically requested to eat in the patio/bar area - 4 days prior. When it was time to be seated we were told there was no table for us & we would HAVE to eat in the dining room. No only was it loud, but we were seated at a Huge table that was almost twice the size of a normal table, so we had to content with all the other tables talking and we had to yell to be heard across our table. Two of us talked together but we really couldn't converse with the other side of the table. If they would get smaller tables everyone would not have to shout so much & the place would probably be quieter."

  • "This was my first time here. Has a beautiful lodge feel yet still a bit fancy. Our service was supurb and the food was just as fantastic. My husband I and had a wonderful seat right by the fireplace. Perfect on a chilly day. He got the wild boar. Never having tried it before he was amazed at how wonderful it tasted. Just like steak with a little sweetness to it. I got the lobster linguini. It was wonderful as well. Our waitress checked on us frequently and made us feel extra special. We can't wait to go back!"

  • "We always enjoy Blue Canyon and the food did not disappoint us. We were less than pleased with our seating, however. We made our reservation well in advance via OpenTable and called to let them know it was a special occasion. They seated us in the bar across from where the wait staff picks up drink orders and dirty glasses are returned. Our waiter/bartender did his best, but the bar became active just as we were seated and we did not receive the service we expected. Needless to say, the atmosphere was not very pleasing. We were not the only ones disappointed; the couple at the table next to us commented to the manager that this is a regular occurrence for them. We will return for the excellent food and request our seating preference."

  • "What makes this place a favorite is the quality and taste of the food and the rustic atmosphere! Think bear skin rug on the wall. It's really nice but not over done. Our server was very nice and our food arrived on time. Just remember that the cost to value ratio is moderate so expect to spend a few bucks. The website is complete with a menu so you can check it out before you dine."

  • "It's like dining in a ski lodge,,, log cabin type walls, chandeliers made if angers, multiple glowing fireplaces.... The food was delicious! They always feature a "game" entree. The night we visited, it was wild boar, and it was delicious! I'd describe it as the texture of a NY Strip with a hint of pork flavor. Their cedar plank salmon was also delicious. The vegetables were sautéed to perfection. The service was excellent. Dining on their terrace would be a nice option in the warmer months."

  • "The staff was very friendly and the food was very good, but I probably wouldn't ever go back. We received a $100 gift card for Christmas or else we would have never gone here. We had never heard of it before then. The food had small portions for a high price. I looked at the other people that were dining there and they seemed very hoity toity. One even got huffy at the hostess because he requested a highchair with his reservation. That is not our scene. I don't want to have to dress to the nines to go out to dinner. Special occasions are one thing but not generally. It was nice for a one-time trip or if you want to rub elbows with the riches."

  • "Our overall dining experience was very pleasant. Good service, friendly employees, comfortable seating, etc. However, my wife and I both ordered the filet and both asked for "medium well". When my wife cut into her filet, it was so rare that the juices and blood squirted all over her plate and table cloth just missing her white sweater. Upon my wife's request, our server (who was great) returned the filet to the kitchen to have it cooked medium well. The remainder of the dinner was very good. After paying the check, our server arrived with a complimentary item from their desert menu."
