  • "Wow. Multi course extravaganza of seafood paired with wine and a bill to send you to the hospital. Service to match. We did the Eric Ripert menu with wine, my daughter and her boyfriend went earlier in the week and had the Blue menu. They said both were equally excellent but thought the Blue menu wines were better matched with the food. My opinion would be that about 50 percent of the wines were perfect matches, the others acceptable but a little off, but I would definitely do the wine pairing again. They also will give you extra pours of any of the wines. The bill makes this a special occasion type of place --$1200 for three people."

  • "I have eaten here several times and the recent visit was my most enjoyable...the service was exceptional (they are mind-readers!); the food was exquisitely prepared and presented, and sublime in flavor. The wine list contains some distinctive wines that are different from what you typically see in Cayman. I would say the meal was worth ever penny, but those who go will have to enjoy the TOTAL experience--that is food, presentation, service and atmosphere. That is what you are paying for. It is a prix-fixe menu, and the starting four course meal was $98 CI (about $120 USD). They offer two other menus (6 courses, if I remember correctly) with and without wine pairings. So it is not for the faint of hear--or wallet."

  • "A top notch meal with excellent service, Blue is fine dining at its best. Every course of the tasting menu was done perfectly, each with complex flavors blending together in a perfect mix. The only problem was a group of loud children at a nearby table at the beginning of our meal, but the parents thankfully took them out when the kids "hit their limit." Blue is not cheap but it is well worth the splurge."

  • "I walk in the door with the highest expectations and the staff at Blue does not disappoint. Eric Ripert's Blue is fantastic. I fine dine (often) in the US and usually order fish, but Blue produces better if not the best preparations. Creativity, attention to detail and temperature are spot on! The wine and service are also top notch. I've been to Blue twice, two years apart, and it's been consistently good both times. I'm looking forward to returning next year. Le Bernardin is next on my list!"

The ambience is sophisticated, quiet and romantic, with unique flooring design and wall coverings along with pleasing architectural lighting accents. Service was perfectly attentive but not smothering, and our waitress was polite, conversational and very knowledgeable. But the main reason we dined at Blue was for the cuisine, and it did not disappoint! Every course was very unique, flavorful and perfectly presented. Although we are not wine connoisseurs, the wine list was extensive. This restaurant is a must for anyone celebrating a special occasion on Grand Cayman!"

The sauces were superb and the portions just right. Each course was paired with a Spanish wine and each was perfect. My favorite was the wahoo ceviche, my husband's was the yellowtail tartare. Service was impeccable, yet friendly and helpful, Joel and his wait partner explained everything as they served it. The decor had changed since we last visited. I really appreciated the new almond color scheme, including Five stars for us!!"

  • "I chose this restaurant as a special occasion for my family for Christmas Eve. Everything was outstanding, from the service to the atmosphere to the wine and of course the food. We chose the four-course tasting menu, which is created by selecting one item from each of the "Almost Raw", "Barely Touched" and "Lightly Cooked" menus, plus dessert. (I mention this because the Ritz-Carlton website doesn't make it easy to understand how the four-course menu works.) We had one member of our 8-person party who doesn't love seafood, and the restaurant made adjustments to the amuse bouche courses to accommodate (as well as they could choose a salad or meat course from the a la carte menus listed above)."

All of the food we ordered on the 4 course meal was prepared perfectly. The amount of food was more than adequate. The wine list was not large but had many reasonably priced good wines. The service was also excellent without being intrusive."
