First time here, so we tried the Eric Ripert tasting menu. Can't go wrong! Asked for a signed copy of the menu and unexpectedly ended up meeting the Chef Thomas and getting a tour of the kitchen. (I wouldn't expect this though, we were there in the off season.)"

Being from NYC, we have regularly gone to restaurants that have great food and great service, and we expected this to be similar- however, Blue was exceptional and on a whole new level. The service is attentive but not overbearing, and the food is within the top 3 places I've ever gone to. I highly recommend coming here at least once if you are visiting the Cayman Islands."

  • "WE celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary and it exceeded our expectations. The staff throughout the restaurant were genuinely enjoying themselves so that set the tone immediately. they have a great desire to make you as comfortable as possible. The food was outstanding. We had the tasting menu and it was amazing. Wine pairings were spot on. One of the people in our party is a celiac and they had no problem substituting the gluten parts of the food. Even wonderful gluten free rolls that they make there...delicious! The fish was outstanding in every course, loved the play on the food...delicious. each course flowed into the other perfectly...and the wine!!! Great...Highly recommend this restaurant."

The menu features unique, one of a kind creations and a massive wine list to boot should you choose to select from the menu a la carte. However, my wife and I elected to go with the tasting menu, which featured 6 dishes from the menu arranged to provide a grand tour of the flavors available. The meal was, simply put, divine. Fresh fish and seafood was combined with unique arrangements of sauces and other ingredients to create not just a dinner, but an experience. The wait staff was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable without being overbearing, and the ambience was refined but simple. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough."

  • "My husband and I ordered the Classics Tasting Menu with wine parings. It was easily one of the top 3 meals we've ever enjoyed! Our favorites were the tuna fois gras and the dover sole with brown butter & tamarind sauce and a side dish of basmati rice. Our server was very knowledgeable and pleasant. A little over $700 and we didn't order cocktails, coffee, etc..but it was well worth it and an excellent way to celebrate our birthdays!"

From the minute we walked into the Ritz, the service was beyond exceptional. All of that continued while inside at Blue. The attendants were top notch... Fred and Stephano were just fabulous! I had the Eric Ripert 7 course menu and my husband had the Blue 6 course... all to die for and not to mention the presentation of each--WOW! Any foodie visiting the island definitely needs to go and check Blue out! "

  • "The four of us went to Blue for my birthday dinner on Sat, April 26, 2014. We ordered from the three-page tasting menu which was fantastic. Every bite of food was perfection. Our two servers were terrific - helpful in explaining items and assisting in ordering. It was without a doubt one of the best dinners that I have ever had (despite the high price tag). My 3 dining companions agree. It was worth every penny! Keep up the perfection in food prep and service. Decor comment - The celestial blue rug was cool."

  • "Menu is fashioned like Eric Ripert's Le Bernardin in NYC: raw, almost raw and slightly cooked. They had special offerings or 6 or 7 courses with wine pairings or not and the usual 4 course fixed price. The tuna with fois gras, lobster with macadamia nut and Dover sole were all excellent. The accompanying sauces we very flavorful and enhanced each dish. The quality and freshness of the ingredients is worth the price. It was like eating in NYC while being at a nice island resort. I'll eat here again before my vacation comes to an end."

  • "Wow. Multi course extravaganza of seafood paired with wine and a bill to send you to the hospital. Service to match. We did the Eric Ripert menu with wine, my daughter and her boyfriend went earlier in the week and had the Blue menu. They said both were equally excellent but thought the Blue menu wines were better matched with the food. My opinion would be that about 50 percent of the wines were perfect matches, the others acceptable but a little off, but I would definitely do the wine pairing again. They also will give you extra pours of any of the wines. The bill makes this a special occasion type of place --$1200 for three people."

  • "I have eaten here several times and the recent visit was my most enjoyable...the service was exceptional (they are mind-readers!); the food was exquisitely prepared and presented, and sublime in flavor. The wine list contains some distinctive wines that are different from what you typically see in Cayman. I would say the meal was worth ever penny, but those who go will have to enjoy the TOTAL experience--that is food, presentation, service and atmosphere. That is what you are paying for. It is a prix-fixe menu, and the starting four course meal was $98 CI (about $120 USD). They offer two other menus (6 courses, if I remember correctly) with and without wine pairings. So it is not for the faint of hear--or wallet."

  • "A top notch meal with excellent service, Blue is fine dining at its best. Every course of the tasting menu was done perfectly, each with complex flavors blending together in a perfect mix. The only problem was a group of loud children at a nearby table at the beginning of our meal, but the parents thankfully took them out when the kids "hit their limit." Blue is not cheap but it is well worth the splurge."

The ambience is sophisticated, quiet and romantic, with unique flooring design and wall coverings along with pleasing architectural lighting accents. Service was perfectly attentive but not smothering, and our waitress was polite, conversational and very knowledgeable. But the main reason we dined at Blue was for the cuisine, and it did not disappoint! Every course was very unique, flavorful and perfectly presented. Although we are not wine connoisseurs, the wine list was extensive. This restaurant is a must for anyone celebrating a special occasion on Grand Cayman!"

We happened to be there during the Cayman cookout week and saw Eric Ripert and Anthony Bourdaine on the Ritz Carlton beach. What a nice addition to our trip! "

The sauces were superb and the portions just right. Each course was paired with a Spanish wine and each was perfect. My favorite was the wahoo ceviche, my husband's was the yellowtail tartare. Service was impeccable, yet friendly and helpful, Joel and his wait partner explained everything as they served it. The decor had changed since we last visited.
