A word from Blue Bell Inn
The redesigned rustic-meets-modern ambiance compliments the Contemporary American menu which features premium cuts of meat, ocean-fresh seafood and signature raw bar. Seasonal outdoor dining on the flagstone patio is available upon request.
In 2013, Blue Bell Inn underwent extensive renovations for over a year. Various historical aspects were enhanced through thoughtful restoration and new materials such as solid white oak and porcelain tile floors were introduced to create a stunning architectural mélange spanning three centuries.

I took my wife here for our anniversary. It's local to us and we'd never been. The menu was complete. They have a raw bar with several selections (which were fantastic), but the regular menu was uninspiring. I had the lobster roll, which was good. My wife had the grilled chicken panini, which was completely under-seasoned. The concept is sound (chicken, brie, mostarda, greens), but it was bland and all of the brie had melted off somewhere so she was left with a chicken sandwich with lettuce and mustard. Not really worth the $21. Honestly, the place is beautiful and the other entrees looked great. She just chose poorly.

Blue Bell Inn was the goto place of my youth. Every event from birthdays to graduations were "toasted" around their tables. As I recall, the food was good, but the atmosphere was formal & stuffy, but my Dad loved it. Recently, I had heard of their renovations and complete menu overhaul and decided to try it. WOW! Our experience was fantastic. Beautiful decor. Bright bar scene which leads to outside patio. Extremely pleasant staff. Extensive wine & beer lists. Top notch dinner menu. The calamari was the best ever. The cheesesteak dumpling were delicious. The salads were fresh and fun and right up our alley...I added chicken to the spinach & arugula salad - loved it. My friend had the seafood wedge and loved it. Go and Enjoy!

WE had a fabulous evening. Four of us went to dinner and ordered lobster rolls, wedge salad, flatbread, cheese steak dumplings, mussels and salmon. EVERYTHING was delicious. Our server was Eduardo who was amazing. Couldn't sit outdoors since it had rained but after dinner we walked to the patio and it is sooo pretty. Hopefully next time we will be able to sit outside. Can't wait to go back to try some of the other items on the menu. Thank you Blue Bell Inn for a great evening!!!!

7 of us came over on Saturday night with no reservations, but were greeted by three smiling hostesses with a "don't worry let's see what we can do" attitude. Grabbed a few drinks and were seated in the patio bar with open garage doors and lower lighting, very cool. Everyone loved the food: cheesesteak dumplings lobster roll and seafood pasta were the favorites -- the staff really made our night though, especially bartender (Matt) and the attractive/blonde manager (Kerry?), you could tell they genuinely cared about us having a good time. Heard theres live music on Friday, definitely will come back.

This was one of the best dinners I have ever had. I went to the Blue Bell Inn maybe 30 years ago, it is definitely not that place any more. First, the remodeling is spectacular, the bar area and dining rooms are beautiful. The staff was very welcoming and our server was attentive, knew the menu and had a personality, friendly, fun. Then the food, outrageous! We had two appetizers we shared, the flat bread and cheese steak pot stickers, great. Then we all had a different cut of steak, there was four of us. None we disappointed. I had the veal chop, perfect, and the sauces, great choices. For dessert we had the shortcake, decadent, delicious. Great evening, my wife wants to go back once a week and that is something to be said.

This place is a knockout. My wife and I joined another couple last week for dinner and were blown away by this place from start to finish. The redesign has made the atmosphere unparalleled in the suburbs. We sat outside around their fire pit and waterfall for cocktails then came inside to the main dining room for dinner. Our server was polite and knowledgable, he recommended the short rib with signature watermelon barbecue: it was sensational! My wife and friends had the seafood plateau (huge!) from the Raw Bar, filet and Halibut special - everyone raved about their food. The new owners have certainly made this to be the new hot spot...350 in seating capacity, there wasn't an empty table in the whole place at 9pm! We will be back SOON.

we liked the old Bluebell in better. We had to eat int the bar area because of someone not being able to climb stairs. Because, the building was so recently renovated, we would have expected to see some sort of ramp for easier walking with a walker. Very very noisy and difficult to carry on a conversation. We were disappointed in the menu choices. Would have liked to have a few more to choose from. If we had been able to eat in the main dining room I am sure we would have enjoyed our lunch much more. Place was very busy and obviously very popular. We had never seen the parking lot that crowded for the old Blue Bell inn.

The worst service we have ever experienced. Food and drinks came out and left on table that were never ordered. Waiter no where in sight to let him know. Two entrees came to our table and the remaining two came later while the two had finished their dinner rather then wait and eat it cold-one entree finally came was not what was ordered. The waiter was trying to convince me to take it anyway. Had to wait while they cooked another one and finally received while everyone was finished. Not a enjoyable night with friends and unacceptable for a restaurant of this price level. Blue Bell - please train your staff.

First time back to the restaurant since major renovations completed this summer. Wow! The new owners retained the historical country atmosphere (wood beams, upholstered booths, etc.) but created a much more open yet warm experience. The service was tremendous with an attentive wait staff and management. The food was very good; we tried both seafood and steak and both were excellent. Prices were reasonable for this upscale dining. After dinner, closed by having a nightcap in the walled patio area by the firepit and waterfall. Very relaxing evening.

Mussels were small & sauce needed more flavor. Onion rings needed more flavor. Grilled shrimp needs to not come out barely cooked. Caesar salad had no flavor & was soggy. For people who love Caesar Salad, don't try & trick us, we know when a salad has been sitting around. Rolls were nothing to talk about. Live band was too loud. Manager did take off 1/2 the bill which was very generous & very smart!!! Kudos!!! Believe it or not, we will come back again to give it another try. It's beautiful & would order something else. We enjoyed our dinner at the Blue Bell Inn. They did a wonderful job renovating, but two things keep it from five star. The most important being that the entree prices seemed a bit too high even for a high-end establishment. That said, for a special occasion, it was worth the splurge as the food was tasty. Second, they seated us in the very back in the most dated part of the Inn. We were surrounded by 70-year-olds with big band playing in the background after passing hip new space with available tables and a swank section that looked like an up-scale steakhouse (also with ample seating). Why they sat a young couple in this area is beyond me, but its dated feel and hard-of-hearing clientele put a damper on enjoying the renovated space.

The outdoor seating and bar area at the newly renovated Blue Bell Inn are just great. It's a lovely place for dinner on a summer or fall night if they have some heaters. The menu needs more small plates so you could just have drinks and a bite. Main dishes are expensive. All in all, nice job on the renovation!
