A word from Blue Bell Inn
The redesigned rustic-meets-modern ambiance compliments the Contemporary American menu which features premium cuts of meat, ocean-fresh seafood and signature raw bar. Seasonal outdoor dining on the flagstone patio is available upon request.
In 2013, Blue Bell Inn underwent extensive renovations for over a year. Various historical aspects were enhanced through thoughtful restoration and new materials such as solid white oak and porcelain tile floors were introduced to create a stunning architectural mélange spanning three centuries.

Excellent experience, it was just too loud. Our waiter, Gerardo was excellent, he really made the experience fun. He is a real gem! I hope the Blue Bell Inn knows it. The food was amazing! The restaurant is really beautiful , just very noisy on a Saturday night. We were hoping for a romantic experience.

The renovated Inn is wonderful. So many different areas with different moods and ambience. The bar scene looks like a great time, and the dining rooms are perfect for dinner. There were 6 of us and nobody had any trouble talking and hearing, even though the room was full. All of the food we tried was excellent, and the service was just right. They really keep track of the diners' needs. Great choice for a group, but would be a nice date place as well.

I've recently discovered Blue Bell Inn and have been there several times in the past month. It's a restored 1743 historic inn, and the variety of rooms alone makes it really cool - beautiful outdoor patio with fire pit, bar with a cool vibe and more formal dining areas. The food is excellent and the staff are extremely friendly and attentive. I've been there for lunch, dinner, corporate private dinner and their Thursday night live jazz series - all have been great.

  • Toss the Salad!

The beet salad is AWFUL. Two out of 11 people tried it, it sounded delish, both individuals felt it was bland and all the wrong ingredients didn't blend well. Having said that, the other food was either "just ok" or "pretty good" the only thing that stood out was the service, the moment we walked through the door the manager greeted us and had a special table setup next to the windows. We were seated properly and served by a lovely female waitress. We will definitely return as we love it there but we'll skip the lettuce & go straight for the fries, yum! No complaints on the service! Above par! Just toss the salad off the menu ... your restaurant deserves better than being "beet"!

Although the initial interaction with the hostess while were were being seated was very unpleasant, the night turned around quite nicely. The food, although expensive, was very good. Nice Caesar dressing on the salad, and rich sweet potato lobster soup. The lamb chop entree was cooked perfectly, and paired well with the quinoa. My dining companion enjoyed their basic steak dish. The pumpkin creme brulee was ok, but the white chocolate ice cream was great. Our server was very professional and attentive, and suggested a nice wine to go with my lamb. When my dining companion was unhappy with her cocktail (only because it was too strong) he took it off the bill and brought her a different one. It was unnecessary, but a very nice gesture.

We had the prix fixe menu available between 5 and 6. The food was great but it came out so fast that we felt rushed. We felt like we needed to eat and leave. I don't think that was the intention of the staff to make us feel that way. We would definitely go bac again just maybe not so early.

The new Blue Bell Inn is an inspired example of how to completely rejuvenate a dining landmark that has become old and tired. Interior is vibrant and lively while retaining the stately feel of a historical landmark. And the food is excellent. Great grill with exceptional meats. Good raw bar with variety of west and east coast oysters. Interesting apps and small plates that are well executed. Will be returning often.

Our table was located between garage doors and a hallway (the restaurant should not use this area for seating when the patio is closed). The cocktails were inconsistent and not as good as our previous visit, the filet mignon was tasteless and the two (yes two) asparagus spears, flavorless!! Enough said!!

We enjoyed a birthday celebration lunch at Blue Bell and were impressed with the service and attention to detail.. The bisque, crab cake and beet salad were delicious, portions were generous. The wine list was extensive and offered many selections by the glass. The decor is sophisticated and incorporates some of the original equine prints of the former establishment. Although somewhat xpensive, it was a very special experience.

I have dined at the blue bell 3 times since the redo. . My most recent visit last night was just terrible. Self service cafeteria style would be an improvement Finding someone to refill a water glass was a challenge Someone at our table asked the waiter for bread twice . I had to excuse myself , find the manager and ask him for bread and water . After some manager song and dance the bread was thrown on the table . Our guest asked for butter - the manager ignored that request and walked away. 10 minutes later we got our waiter asked for butter his response we are out of butter The prices are on the higher side for the location , the food is ok and the service terrible . 3 and done with the Blue Bell Inn

Although we have lived in the area for a long time, this was our first experience with the inn. After a complete remodel a few years ago, it is quite an up-scale place with lovely décor and various dining areas. Our reservation was for 6:30pm and were promptly seated in a smaller area just before the second, smaller bar. It was quiet and comfortable at first. Starting around 8 pm the noise level rose with folks 'having a good time' and the air system started going on and off as the crowd grew. It was drafty at our table. A nearby couple asked to move. Other than those two issues, we loved the place. The food was delicious. We had the Veal Chop, Pork Chop and Stuffed Chicken Breast. All were great and our server was wonderful.

This was our first visit since the remodel and it was enjoyable. Dining rooms are beautifully appointed and this Saturday night approached a full house. I suppose that's why the noise level was energetic. The new menu is suitable to a wide array of tastes. We were attracted by the listing of 8OZ. CENTER CUT FILET MIGNON Sour Cream and Chive Whipped Potatoes, Haricots Verts & Garlic Herb Butter $33.00. Each steak was beautifully done to different measures. The only downside was 6 small to medium sized green beans served with my entree. For that price, the portion looked lonely on the plate and meager for my appetite. Our server, Jamie, was enthusiastic, thoughtful and very attentive. Will return for a special occasion.

After discovering the new Blue Bell Inn for after drinks one night, we decided to return with our family on a Friday night. Parking lot & valet was overwhelmed. Place was packed. Hostess took us down long hallway and then another to the corner of a nondescript windowless room next to kitchen. Crowd still resembles old Blue Bell crew - happy hour scene appeared to be 60 yo singles. Waiter was enthusiastic but I heard him mumbling about another table under his breath. Menu is pretty basic and somewhat pricey. We had pork chops, filet mignon, salmon, and hamburger. All were good and service was fast in light of the crowd. Doubt we'll be back for dinner but would return for a group event or late night drinks by the fire pits.

Beautiful outdoor night.Water wall and fire pit enhance ambiance.Wine by the glass list is superb,if pricey. We started with a Caesar salad and a Roasted beet salad. Both were dressed perfectly, although I would have preferred my beets a bit more tender (they left off the prosciutto as I am vegetarian).Husband's veal chop needed a bit more flavor, but was perfectly tender. We spoke to on duty manager and he compensated us.The broccoli rabe was one of the best anywhere - it came with the veal and I had it as part of my entree, along with the polenta which was rich and delicious. The new BBI has quickly become oue of our favorites.

We have tried BBI on several occasions- some better than others. We decided to stop in again to try out their Restaurant Week. The menu looked great and offered a super selection- not just the one or two items per course like a lot of places. We opted to sit at the patio bar in the back, as I recognized Matt (bartender) who had previously given us great service. This visit did not disappoint. The food that we had was the best we have ever had there. The sweet potato and lobster bisque was perfect, as was the risotto app. I have had problems in the past qith my filet being a bit charred on the outside, like the grill was too high-but this time it was cooked to perfection. Oysters were good too. And again, Matt was on point! Ashley too!

Been going to the BBI for over 40 years. I like the new facility, they did a great job. Food was very good. Service was very good. Looking back at my experience I found there was nothing that really stood out as "Special". When we would go to the "Old" Blue Bell we looked forward to Blue Bell Potatoes, Bernaise Sauce,Baked Alaska, and other little treats that made it unique. Dinner wednesday night was good but basic. It was a meal you can get almost anywhere!!

I made a reservation for 4 a week ago for Saturday at 7:45. We arrived on time and were promptly seated at a table next to the kitchen. I asked to be moved to an empty table across the room that was also for 4 but was told that that table was for six. About 15 minutes later a party of 4 was seated at that table! The food was excellent and our server did the best he could but regardless we did not get our entrees until 9:45; 2 hours after being seated. One of our party was sitting directly under the air conditioner and was freezing during the majority of the dinner. I will not be returning to this restaurant or recommend it to anyone.

First time at BB since it was redesigned and it certainly was different than the original. Very modern, very " with it " decor. Our wait time , with a reservation , on a croeded Sat. night was not long and had drinks at the bar frirst. Our server was energetic and described specials as if he was " conducting a symphony orchestra." Only issue we had was that he was serving too many tables so getting his attention was a little tricky. However, our overall experience - including the food- was a good one and plan to return.
