Don't judge it by its location-- the food rivals top Downtown Pittsburgh restaurants. Our waitress, a bubbly character, was super helpful and knowledgable about the food. For us, therefore, it wouldn't be an every-week place to go. But the food and service were top notch, and Blue is so close to where we live. She provided us with excellent service. Was very helpful with our order and made us feel very welcome! Drinks were fantastic! The food was good, nothing spectacular or out of the ordinary. My seared ahi tuna main dish was incredibly salty, and I couldn't figure out why. Coffee was great, but desert was hard as a rock. The ambience was a bit noisier than expected for a romantic dinner, with the noise from the bar going throughout the restaraunt, but died down a bit once the crowd at the bar thinned out. Honestly, I didn't think I'd get a reply but I did and it was a very nice one. It was a great, easy dining experience. Cute decor, lively, great food and cocktails. We were seated near the bar at TGIF time, which made conversation a bit difficult.
