Blue Adobe GrilleGreat FoodThis place caught my eye a few times online, and we finally stopped in to try it out. The bean/queso/guacamole appetizer is absolutely amazing, and the restaurant was very helpful for my girlfriend's gluten sensitivities. The dinner was exceptional as well, almost too much to finish- but it tasted too good not to. Definitely recommend trying this out if you are near.5/29/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food was excellent, asThe food was excellent, as was our server. The food did take awhile, but was well worth it. The outdoor patio was very nice.5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMLove this place! Have neverLove this place! Have never had a bad meal and the service is excellent.5/23/2013 12:00:00 AMGreatRecommended by friends and it was so good we went back the next nite. Great margaritas, excellent mexican food, superior salmon caesar salad( glad I chose the small). I will go back any time we come to Phoenix.5/22/2013 12:00:00 AMNew Mexico Blues SolutionIf you find yourself in Phoenix/Scottsdale & missing New Mexican food, this IS the place! Authentic and sometimes inventive takes on green chiles, enchiladas or prickly pear Margharitas are all must tastes. I go there everytime I'm this far from NM to keep from missing the best flavors of the SW.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat find!Wow, what a gem this place is. Everything on the menu sounded so good that we were having a tough time deciding. The owner (Micheal) came by to check on us, found that this was our first visit, and helped us narrow our choices. We were not disappointed! There are many excellent Mexican restaurants in the area, and Blue Adobe Grill ranks with the best. What sets it apart is the Santa Fe style of food that is available in addition to the excellent traditional Mexican fare. The chef manages to bring spicy without necessarily adding heat. The bottom line is - I can't give a description that would do the food or atmosphere justice. This place must be experienced to be appreciated. We will be back without question.5/16/2013 12:00:00 AMblue adobe three days In a rowGood service for sure. Manager is awesome. Food is consistently very good. The bathrooms are dirty as heck. Kitchen area by bathrooms is dirty too. Just clean up the bathrooms. Remodel those dirty things. Make the kitchen and restrooms match the food and service.. I've heard many people complain about the dirty kitchen and even dirtier bathrooms. . Clean it up guys. Join the big leagues.5/15/2013 12:00:00 AMI took my girlfriend thereI took my girlfriend there for Mother's Day and it was a very nice surprise for her. The food was delicious and the wait staff was very attentive. My girlfriend received special treatment for Mother's Day to include a mimosa, soup or salad and a dessert of creme brulee. Very nice!5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent Sonoran Discovery! We were looking for a casual Mother's Day afternoon and were delighted with our choice. The food was beautifully presented and it proved very tasty as well. It will certainly bring us back. It was truly Sonoran Cuisine with a flair.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMOur server Ashley was knowledgeableOur server Ashley was knowledgeable about the menu and friendly. Service and food was excellent. Something new they started was having a singer on the patio - it was a perfect day, not too hot with a breeze. The music was a nice welcome and enjoyable, as well as appropriate for our lunchtime to celebrate Cinco de Mayo :)5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat experience. Food andGreat experience. Food and drinks were fantastic!!5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMThe usual5 diners, 4 SW chicken pasta. Not as spicy this time but still very good.
Only suggestion - we had an elderly lady with us who just wanted fruit and there was little to offer her.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food is always wonderfulThe food is always wonderful and different from any other restaurant. Try the pork loin with the raspberry chipotle sauce or the lobster mac and cheese. And the green chile lobster dip is a MUST. Plus, the margaritas and the peach sangria are excellent. We always take our visitors to Blue Adobe!5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food in a very casual settingCorner pub casual atmosphere, great for couples, groups or families. Food quality was excellent, however, far surpassing pub style. Great service too. Well worth the trip to this hidden corner of North Scottsdale.5/1/2013 12:00:00 AMWhy go any where else? We've been patronizing this restaurant since it opened. The carne adovada is sooo good. The first restaurant my kids and their families want to visit when in town from Tucson is Blue Adobe. Michael knows how to run a restaurant and always seems to enjoy his job. He does an outstanding job training his staff. Don't miss a chance on visiting this restaurant!4/23/2013 12:00:00 AMFavorite Southwestern RestaurantThe Cruz Kitchen Signature is always one of our favorites, and our guests enjoyed it too. I had their Beef Tenderloin Medallion topped with Jalapeño Hollandaise with a Green Chile Potato, and I added on a Portabella Mushroom Enchilada with Amaretto Mushroom Cream Sauce because it is so unusually tasty. We love the food here!4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMTerrific New Mexican foodTerrific New Mexican food with unique flavors. Green chilies are my favorites. It makes me feel like I'm in Sante Fe. Staff is well trained and friendly.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMWas great.....quite noiseyWas great.....quite noisey the house band made conversation nearly impossible... Food was great...service staff very friendly and helpfull...will be back during the week when the band is not around....4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMTasty Food, Great Service, LoudWe are from Buckeye, about 45 miles from this restaurant, but a friend was staying in Scottsdale for the night and we chose to go to Blue Adobe based on the AZ Republic review. She wanted Mexican food. While the Blue Adobe is not traditional Mexican or even TexMex, it was a great choice. The food was very tasty - we shared a salad and the carne adovada, plenty for two. Lots left over. Husband had the stacked enchiladas and he cleaned the plate. Sides were nothing special (beans, rice). Tortillas seem fresh. Salsa was interesting and smoky. Waitress was terrific - even suggested a similar but cheaper beer. The only downside is the noise level. We went on Friday night when they have live music. Too loud to even talk.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had a great meal at BlueWe had a great meal at Blue Adobe. reviews said it was good and it was.Food was fantastic. I will certainly head back.4/16/2013 12:00:00 AMAWESOME!! Great atmosphereAWESOME!! Great atmosphere and food. A Southwest flare that is unique in it presentation. Far from overpowering, but incredibly flavorfull. Salmon is the best anywhere!!4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful food, service andWonderful food, service and experience. We will come here again!3/17/2013 12:00:00 AMContinue to Return! On my husband's list for returning to when we are visiting. I like their chips and salsa, guacamole was fine. I had the seafood enchilada and my husband had a couple of beef burritos. The prickly pear margarita is good and regular too. I had the apple empanadas again.3/15/2013 12:00:00 AMVery Busy This Time of YearIt's spring training time, and Blue Adobe was packed on Friday night. Thank goodness we made an Open Table reservation. The food is always unique and outstanding here. My husband ordered the Carne Adovada, and the waiter suggested getting it in the Stacked Enchiladas. So he tried it, and he said it was a very good recommendation. I think you need to be a bit adventurous when you eat here because you may be a bit disappointed if you order something that you may be familiar with at other restaurants. Expand your horizons!3/1/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat - As Always! You can'tGreat - As Always! You can't find anything on the menu that's better than the Cruz Kitchen Signature. Everything we've tried here is very good, but this is fantastic. But be prepared to take some home because it's a large amount of food.2/1/2013 12:00:00 AMWe love the food here. WeWe love the food here. We try to order something different every time (though the Cruz Kitchen is our absolute favorite). This time, my selection came with a Portabella Mushroom Enchilada smothered with Amaretto Mushroom Cream Sauce which was wonderful.1/22/2013 12:00:00 AMWe've eaten here often andWe've eaten here often and always look forward to going back. We try to have something different every time (though we often fall back to our favorites since they are so incredibly good). This time we had the Chorizo Stuffed Chicken and the Jala Holla Steak (which comes with a shrimp enchilada). Both were delicious. We hadn't ever been here when there was entertainment in the bar. When we sat down, the waitress apologized for it being so loud, but we were pleasantly surprised at how good the guy was. It was a nice addition to our dining experience.12/12/2012 12:00:00 AM
