Out of town and in search of a good tex-mex restaurant when told about this place. Superb waiter really made the evening. Jason was so very friendly, welcoming, helpful and terrific overall. Though this was the last night of our AZ trip and we had already enjoyed plenty of regional food, our dishes here really were fabulous! The smoked salsa was the best ever! We will return to this spot when next in AZ!

Visiting from out of state with my husband and searched for a well reviewed restaurant serving southwestern food. Was very happy with Blue Adobe Grille AND, as it turns out, I had been there two years before and can still taste that delicious lunch. Chips, salsa, tacos, rice, beans, steak...it was all deliciously prepared and served by a wonderful waitress. Do sit outside if you can, especially at night when they have the lights on. Unusual drink menu too. A must try!

We love it here. We asked some friends to join us that had never been there. They also loved it. They couldn't believe how good the food was. My favorite is the Chip Chop Salad with Salmon. My hubby loves it too. But his fav is the Kabobs. Love this place!

After making a reservation through Open Table, we were seated in the highest traffic lane in the restaurant, a narrow space with constant flow of wait staff. Food was average quality, heavy on beans and rice, light on meat. I ordered stacked enchiladas, received a single, chicken enchilada.

We enjoy each visit to the Blue Adobe but take home as much food as we eat. The waiter said some small plate items were taken off the menu. I think it would be great if the owners would put back and add smaller volumes of food. It's really too much to eat at one setting. Also think the menu is confusing. Would appreciate more ala carte items.

We love the Blue Adobe, most notably the friendly, personable people who work their, excellent service, and seafood choices. Blue Adobe puts an interesting twist on traditional Mexican food. While they have traditional items on the menu their salmon is the best I've had anywhere, salmon ceasar, salmon wrap, salmon tacos or salmon dinner. They also have a shrimp pizza and shrimp cocktail that are to die for! Oh, and the lobster dip, amazing too. Thank you Michael, Ashley, Rob, Jose and staff for taking such good care of us.

We drove from downtown Phoenix to Blue Adobe Grille based on reviews we read on Open Table and elsewhere. Our server was very attentive, friendly and helpful. The food was very good - not incredibly awesome. I'm a margarita purist and was directed to the appropriate option to order. It was also very good. We arrived 20 minutes early for our reservation and were seated immediately. The vibe of the place was active (which we enjoyed). Not a romantic get-away. I had the signature Carne Adovada lazy tacos and my wife had the chicken tacos. The Carne Adovada was tasty and tender but not as amazing as the waiter indicated it would be. Overall, we were happy with our meal, thought the value was good and would go back if in the area.

This is one of our go to restaurants in our neighborhood for lunch or dinner. Food is always good. Service is always good. Owner/manager always chats with us. Can get a little noisy at dinner as they have a smallish bar area that is open to the restaurant and always has a live singer. The two other couples with us who had never been were very impressed and said they would love to come back.

We had a delicious meal and we sat on the patio where it was quiet and comfortable. Our waiter, Nick, was very efficient and friendly and we were celebrating a Birthday and he treated us to a delicious Chocolate chip cookie pie with ice-cream and chocolate sauce...we loved it! WE will definitely go back soon. Our favorite, is the chili, chicken , corn chowder......yum yum!

We went here for Mother's Day Brunch. On the Open Table website it advertised there was a buffet brunch featuring a per person charge. They had no special menu, no breakfast items and no brunch. The restaurant didn't seem to know anything about this. It seems to be Open Table's mistake. My advice is call the restaurant, since Open Table does not.

I had high expectations, having having lived in New Mexico. The salsa and corn crab cake appetizers were fine but I was disappointed in the entrees. Mine came out overdone, a friend's Carne Adovda was tough. I realize we had a table of 6 and it seemed very busy. Very loud inside, glad we had a patio table.

We eat here quite often because it is so good and so unique. We love the Hatch Chile Chicken Corn Chowder. Their Guacamole and their salsa are great. And the Cruz Kitchen Signature is the best "combo" that you could ever have. This is definitely on the top of our list for Scottsdale restaurants.

We enjoyed our dinner at the Scottsdale Abode Grill. The meals were not as good as those served at the Mesa Blue Adobe Grill. I was disappointed because we had really talked up the restaurant after eating several times at the Mesa Blue Adobe Grille. The food was good, but no one finished their dinners or took home leftovers. The seafood enchilada (outstanding at the Mesa restaurant) was mostly salmon -- couldn't taste the halibut or shrimp/crab. The green chile corn chowder (one reason my husband wanted to go) was OK. The margaritas were excellent. The server was helpful and knowledgeable. The restaurant was clean, but it had more of a bar atmosphere than a restaurant. Not a bad thing, just don't go there for a romantic evening.

We were in Scottsdale for a weekend and found the Blue Adobe Grill. The food was excellent and the service on par with the best restaurants around. They have a nice outdoor patio, that was reasonably quite considering it is surrounded by a parking lot. Their menu has so many tempting items that it was hard to decide. I went for the shrimp rellano and lobster tamale. All I can say is YUMMY!. We had a great meal with a great server. Highly recommended and it is very reasonably priced

We wanted something a little different from their wonderful Southwest items, so we both tried one of their steak entrees. They are 6 ounce fillets which are very tender and tasty. They have several selections, each coming with either a different sauce and/or different side items. We were both very pleased with our dinners. And to top it off, it was "True Blue Thursday" when you get either a salad or soup and creme brulee with any of their Blue Plate entrees or Steaks for free. We both had the Hatch Chile Chicken Corn Chowder which was fantastic. I can't say enough good stuff about the food at this place! We come back often.
