Private Party Facilities:
We have a VIP area that accommodates up to 65 people. It’s elevated from the rest of the restaurant and is great for a happy hour, cocktail & appetizer semi-private party. We have another semi-private space which accommodates up to 45 people sit-down dinner and includes a full bar that services the party. We are closed on Mondays and offer the restaurant as a great private event venue.

Valet parking is offered right next to BLU at the covered parking lot on Thurs/Fri/Sat evenings. Free parking is available at the covered parking lot attached to building where BLU is located. There is also outside street parking available.

Our Executive Chef Junnajet Hurapan "Jett", as he is called by many of his friends, impressed several of New York City’s top food critics before relocating to the Bayou City.

Disappointed went there and was
presented with a happy hour menu on Sunday. Stated that happy Hour started at 4pm and when I attempted to order happy hour I was told that I could not.... Well why would you provide the menu with that information printed on it. False Advertisement very disappointed..... When asked they stated that It was during football and they would not honor it even though they are still using the menu football has been over for a while so there is no excuse for it to still be in circulation if its not valid. My suggestion stop using the menu and stop advertising deals you don't honor. Rating may have been better if it was not for that issue."

Food was fabulous. Very comparable
in food quality to Roy's ( another fusion restaurant). Every bite just lit up the taste buds. A must restaurant in Sugar Land....."

The Red Snapper was over cooked to
the point that it lost all tenderness and flavor. It was so thickly breaded that it was difficult to cut. The duck was over cooked and dry. The attempt to disguise this poor presentation with a spicy Thai sauce was not successful. The Asian Mussel dish featured many broken shells and the same exact sauce as the duck dish, which implied lack of chef versatility. The service: Unacceptable especially was the presentation of the bill BEFORE DESSERT WAS SERVED! And the, during dessert, the waiter walked by the table and lifted the bill from where it lay on the table, examined it, then PROPPED IT UP VERTICALLY LIKE A BILLBOARD on the table! We had not yet finished our desserts, and felt this behavior was rude."

Desert came before the appetizer
and the entree on valentines day. We were rushed out of the restaurant because it was about to turn into a night club on valentines day at 10:30? Waiter wasn't very friendly... You would expect a better situation on a valentines day. It's one day in a year... Very poor service."

There is nothing worse than going
out to a restaurant and seeing old menus. Actually I can think of a couple things but nonetheless, you gets your hopes up for a menu item since no one made you aware prior that this was the case and then after ordering you get "sorry, we no longer have that." Why is it still on the menu? Poor management. This happened 3 times in one dinner, pork belly entree, white port by the glass and a pumpkin trifle. It's one thing to be 86'd, it's another to be discontinued. UPDATE YOUR MENUS!! Food is delicious, service is only great with Jessica, management is poor, ambiance is gorgeous."

Although the restaurant was
TOTALLY empty on 26 Dec when we went, we had a lovely evening. It was "happy hour," so there were generous food & drink discounts. All the food items we had were delicious & very promptly served. Great value. My wife & I were very confused as to why it was so empty. The food was not as good as Perry's but the price was a fraction of the cost of Perry's. I'd be happy to return. We had great service & an excellent meal."

Kind of a unique restaurant -
lounge setting. We had anticipated more separation for a special occasion, but it turned out acceptable and ambience was good. They were not real busy, service was excellent and noise level OK. Do not know how it would be when more crowded. However, the food we had was extremely good! We enjoy spicy dishes, so I had the High Flame Shrimp and Scallops while my wife had the custom selection of Scallops with Thai Basil Chili Sauce. Both were of very good presentation, nice heat and absolutely scrumptious. For dessert we shared an Apple-Pecan Cobbler which also had nice presentation and was very good; highly recommend."

friendly and quick. Just don't plan on having a quiet meal on Sunday evening. The restaurant has a guest DJ on Sunday evenings and it was so loud we could not have a conversation across the table."

It's convenient to reserve via OT.
Overall was very good, but there is room for improvement. Main dishes are great with diverse ethnic taste. Cocktails could be better mixed. Appetizer portions were way too little, even just for tasting."

Better as a lounge /club than a
restaurant. We waited for a long time for a waitress. Finally, the bartender introduced herself as our waitress and made it known she wasn't happy doing it. She also could not understand the concept of a pre-purchased multi-course meal, and it took her a couple tries and assistance to get our receipt correct"

Food as always, was phenomenal.
Service was poor. Last time we went for brunch we had asked for the edamame dumplings even though they are typically not available for brunch and the chef accommodated us. This time we asked again and the server didn't even ask the kitchen, he just said no. Took 8 minutes for cucumber lemonade to arrive. Check was dropped before we even ordered dessert which is insulting. Server was only at the table to take the order and check on main course, otherwise, he did not exist. Next time we will ask for our regular server."

Was looking for a Confortable
place to eat. Despite reservation made - even thru open table No points added - they sat us 15 mins later than those who walked in and Waitress ,didn't come till 10 mins ,after we were seated. Food was not that great, table was @ open area, and was cold breeze from outside. Unable to get confortable thru the meal."

Overall good. We may go back. The
positive was the food was quite good. The negative on this occasion was we ordered the mussels appetizer, which were very good, but about a third of them were empty. We brought this to our waiter's attention and all he came back with was the kitchen stating that "A lot of them fall out of the shell into the bowl". Well, we obviously already looked for them in the bowl and they weren't there. That is why we brought it to his attention. In the end nothing was done to satisfy us for the missing mussels we paid for. So for that I marked service as fair instead of very good."

My girlfriend and I went here to
use my Travelzoo voucher. I had the duck entree. It was ok. Nothing delicious or noteworthy. She had the the red snapper. It was quite good! We both enjoyed the potstickers as an appetizer. Those were very good to. The menu was not very impressive."

BLU features a menu heavy with
creative takes on Asian Fusion dishes. I had the Five Spice Braised Duck and the portion was generous and the spice level was just right! The ambiance has a nice I door/outdoor feel and the restaurant turns night club when the sun sets."

Went there for father's day
brunch. They serve exactly the same thing they have on any sunday brunch. Nothing special at all. We sat there for about 20 minutes without any service at all. We were on the verge of leaving when somebody asked if we were being served and of course we were not. Food was mediocre at best. We could have whipped that up at home."

The hostess and waitress were
really nice! Food was great! What stuck a thorn in my side was one matter. Made reservations for my bday and called to confirm dress code which I was told was casual. One of my bday guests was not allowed in, even though there were man already inside wearing shorts, flip flops, and even a ball cap or two. After asking 3 employees for the manager I was told he was too busy setting up the club. I walk outside to find him sitting down talking and laughing. When I went up to him I felt as if I was being talked down to. Even after I basically gave up on the matter, one of the bouncers started getting angry waving his hands around and slapping his hands together talking to us about the dress code. Unnecessary."

The atmosphere in the restaurant
was nice. Felt like I was out of Houston. Food was bland!!! And not that good. Enjoyed the lounge. Music started off very young. After talking to the DJ he really turned it around. Enjoyed lounge better than restaurant."

Our first visit was right about
the time the restaurant first opened. It was great then. The food is still as good...unique, high quality, and full of flavor. The prices are about what I expect for a "hip" restaurant like his, but the quality makes it worth it. Get there in enough time to enjoy some happy hour drinks and apps, and stay for a great dinner. The service was only OK. Not horrible, but a little slow with the drinks. May have just been that waiter on that day. Overall, pretty good place. Even our teenage son was impressed."

waitress was friendly, knowledgeable, and polite. This was a dinner with potential clients from out of town. They were very impressed with the restaurant and our server did well at knowing when to step in and when to lay back and let us have our privacy in conversation. Ambience, Food, Service was great."

We went for Easter Sunday
Brunch.... it was great! The weather was nice so the bay windows were open which allowed a breeze to flow thru the resturant. There was a live band that played really good current songs in a jazz style. They even invited the kids that were in attendance up to play the percussion instruments. And our waiter. Extra cute! Extra attentive! Extra customer service driven!!! I think his name was Caesar and he was GREAT! I will definatly being going back to BLU"

Our office group went for my
birthday lunch. Everything we had was delicious: edamame croquettes, saigon rolls, salads, sliders, falafel, chicken pita and cashew chicken. If it sounds like a lot, it is! They have a three course lunch menu that offers a great variety of flavors. Everyone was equally pleased - yum!"

Our party of four (2 couples)
dined at Blu on a Saturday afternoon at 2:00 P.M. There was not much of a crowd at that time. Most were on the patio - we chose to stay inside out of the wind. The service was outstanding. We were very well attended by our waiter. The hostess was very accomodating (we moved from outside to inside prior to dining) After dining, since there was no crowd and no rush to leave, we were able to sit and visit for an extended period of time with no pressure from the waiter to leave. Had there been a crowd, we would not have done that, but were pleased we were allowed to loiter there for a while. The food was good and presented well. We will go back again to try some different items on the menu."
