A word from BLT Steak
Located in the heart of midtown, BLT Steak is our interpretation of the classic steakhouse, coupled with signature style and all-around finesse. Enhanced by the richness of Macassar Ebony tables and matching suede booths, BLT Steak combines a bistro ambiance with steakhouse fare. Certified Black Angus or USDA Prime steak are dressed with a selection of sauces, ranging from Bearnaise to Horseradish, and are paired with decadent sides such as Parmesan flavored Gnocchi and oversized Onion Rings. Add BLT Steak’s sumptuous selection of fresh seafood, signature salads and blackboard specials and it sets the standard for today’s modern steakhouse.

A 23-foot zinc bar greets diners with an excellent array of libations for pre- or post- dining pleasure.

  • "Service is amazing, cannot be compared. Made us wait for 15 mins but sent us 2 appetizers on the house along with an amazing desert. Cooked to perfection, the food is to die for, not literally but yes it is that amazing. Went on a weekday and it was still so crowded, the bar and the restaurant is completely full so book ahead of time or call in, calling in is sometimes better. ENJOY! "

  • "1st time was fantastic! 2nd time DISAPPOINTING. At 7:30pm they were out of 6 main choices. We had to settle. After dinner was served they did not come and ask us how everything was NOR did they bring our wine. BLT did not compensate for their lack of product nor did we ask. They lost our business."

  • "Food was excellent, side dishes were spectacular, popovers that melt in your mouth. The busboys were very attentive, our waitress started off good until it got busy, then she ignored us and we had to ask other wait staff to take our desert order and bring us our check . This was annoying when you are paying $ 500.00 for a party of 4 high-end steak house dinner ! I expect the service to be excellent too !"

  • "My husband and I were so looking forward to dining at BLT having received such positive recommendations about BLT LA.Since we were going to be in NYC for the weekend, we decided to go to BLT NYC.The only positive is that the restaurant was able to accommodate an extra member of our party approximately one hour prior to our reservation.Our waiter's attitude was pompous and his response condescending when we asked whether BLT offered a burger for our 9year old.Yes, I'm aware that BLT is a steakhouse, however, we've dined at the finest steakhouses in the country and they are all usually VERY accommodating of children and as such are able to honor such a request. Our entrée took an hour and half to be served.Steaks were cold and tough. AWFUL!!"

  • "Dinner was delicious! We tried the Miazaki Waygu cut as an appetizer. It truly was a special treat, and not cheap, but worth it. The beet salad and bacon starters were very tasty too. They NY strip was expertly cooked and melt in your mouth. Our server was extremely passionate and knowledgeable about the menu. He just loved talking about the meat, where it came from, and every specific you would ever want to know about the cuts."

  • "So happy to have chosen to take out my new fiance for dinner at this special restaurant, They not only had top quality food, service, and decor but they were extremely gracious to hook us up with a special free celebratory dessert, which was completely unexpected ( all i mentioned in a comment on the reservation booked through open-table, that we had just gotten engaged! I was impressed to say the least!) Enjoy an awesome porterhouse for two go for seconds on their mashed potatoes their crab cake app is a must and by far one of the best I've had, with a awesome cocktail to start, you will be happy you went there."

The steak was good (not great) sides were small as well but again it was good. I wouldn't go back there's too many others to try. house wine by the glass was $17 which is ok in nyc but not very good. all in all experience was just okay."

  • "I have not had such a great meal in a really long time. I ordered the beer salad then the short ribs with creamed spinach for my entree. The short ribs were perfectly cooked. I ate the entire pot full even though I was stuffed. My friends had the rack of lamb and they were equally happy. Expensive? Absolutely. I rarely splurge this much on a meal but this was completely 100% worth it! If you want an amazing meal, great service and are okay spending more than usual- go here!!!"

We went with some friends from out of town and we weren't disappointed - it was a great evening. One gripe: the wine list is vastly over-priced. Otherwise, BLT Steak fulfills every aspect of great steak house."

  • "When I pay 50$ for a steak I expect it to be skillfully done. In this place the steak was overdone and dry. The meat itself was good but I had better. The side dishes are great but you don't judge a steakhouse by side dishes. Also, the tables are small and service is OK but nothing special."

Saturday night crowd a bit too loud and off in distance music from bar or other which is completely unnecessary in dining room. Never disappoints for food - popovers are unique and distinctive and never fail to please. This time had Dover sole while companions had filet. Remember the spinach salad as delightful. Top notch. Never fail to return and eager to do so Peace."

  • "BLT steak was very disappointing. Have been going for years and things have been getting steadily worse while prices are moving aggressively higher. Where to begin? Famous popovers came out lukewarm, bacon appetizer was mostly fat an unappetizing, steak was tough and not good, $50 sole entree was mediocre. A big disappointment and dinner for two with a couple glasses of wine was over $300. Can not recommend"

  • "A friend and I went for a birthday lunch. We are "light" lunch eaters but It was the perfect spot. Our salads were delicious as were the wonderful popovers. The Meyer Lemon Cheesecake with its slightly crunchy exterior --think the crumbled top of creme brulee sprinkled on cheesecake rounds-- is my new favorite dessert. Noise level is very high which is the only reason I didn't give it five stars. Service was attentive."
