A lighter environment has been created that is enhanced by the richness of Macassar Ebony tables and matching suede.   • "The wife and I came here for our 1 year wedding anniversary and it was a great experience. The wife has been to the one in Miami and loved the popovers. We knew that was going to be filling so we skipped the appetizer. We had the filet steak and also the miso tuna, which was prepared perfectly. For our desert, we were debating between the chocolate mouse and peanut butter chocolate cake. The manager recommended the peanut butter one so we went with that and it was amazing. Since it was anniversary he also gave us the chocolate mouse and some other desert for free in complimentary champagne. Overall, great food and service and will definitely be back!"

  • "The most amazing popovers, baked with gruyere cheese, are served as the bread at the beginning of the meal. Oysters fresh. Tasty spinach salad, huge portion, a little on the dry side, but tasty. Side items all incredible. The baked potato skins were particularly remarkable, crunchy, cheesy, bacony, the best ever, anywhere. But the steak! A huge filet (14 ozs.), prepared medium rare plus, was juicy but absolutely tough, stringy, hard to chew, and definitely did not taste like a prime cut. Very surprising and unsettling. The sundae malt for dessert was delightful and light, with crunchy malted chunks mixed in with the ice cream. Service at first impeccable, then rather draggy towards the end. Overall, a good experience, but not for steak."

  • "The 16 oz. New York strip ($48) was U.S.D.A. Choice, not Prime (this was disclosed by the waiter when I ordered), but it had that great flavor of a properly-aged steak. In fact, had the waiter not told me, I would have thought it was Prime. The sides (grilled asparagus and mushrooms, $11 each, big enough to share) were excellent, and the dessert (carrot cake with ginger ice cream) was a little piece of heaven."

  • "This was one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had. My wife and I went there to celebrate our anniversary the ladies who greeted us were very nice and professional. Our waiter was not very helpful and came off as rude he was never around when we needed anything the steak was cold when it came out and I had to ask him for a coke three times before he brought it and when he finally did it was flat. I would not recommend this Resturant to anyone."

  • "Had dinner near the White House mid week, to discover it was very busy with business/government types. The menu was very good, but the prices were a bit high. This should not deter you if like a high end steak house food. The BLT staff were exceptional. Highly recommend it, but please make reservations. We did and were seated promptly."

  • "Main complaint was that hostess could not find the reservation made through Open table until I showed her a copy. Also led us to the table next to the front door when specifically asked for quiet table for a business meeting. I was shown better seating after complaint but hostess did not give warm welcome to me. Food was very good and no complaint about wait service which was good enough. Overall not a top restaurant though."

  • "Reservations were easy to make for Friday evening. The steaks were great but overall, it was way too expensive. The sides were decent, but not amazing. (We ordered bacon, stuffed mushrooms, jalapeño mashed potatoes, and potatoes au gratin.) They were also pricey and small. The jalapeño mashed potatoes had a paste-like texture and were not as awesome as it initially sounded. The service was great, our waiter was attentive, but not annoyingly so. Our water glasses were always full. Our time at BLT was fine, but it was not worth the cost."

  • "The food was excellent, especially the little extras they include (e.g., chicken liver mousse, cheese puffs). The service also was great, but seemed very rushed. Before we had even finished one course, they were already bringing us the next course, which required reorganizing the table to fit everything. The restaurant also is very expensive (tab was $500+ for 3 people with 5 glasses of wine; we did, however, all have an appetizer, entree, and dessert), so be prepared to spend money."

I am not a red wine drinking but the server recommended a nice red wine to my friend and to my surprise it tasted amazing. You can't go bad with the steak or the wine at BLT Steak."

  • "I went there for a dinner with a friend. We arrived earlier than our reservation time. Our table wasn't ready, so we set at the bar. We had a cocktail each (they were great). The bar seamed busy and the 2 bartenders were spread out too thin. The bar snacks were great also. Shortly after we were done with the cocktails we were set for dinner. The server assistants did more for us than our server. He had no personality, he wasn't rude, but could do an extra step to at least to smile. The food was good. We didn't like one of the appetizers, but the rest was great."

If you have friends and family visiting from out if town; this is the place. Not only are the steaks amazing; on this visit my dinner date got the tuna and it was expertly prepared and delicious.   • "This is the third time we've been to BLT. This time we decided to go, because BLT was celebrating their 10th anniversary. We ordered 3 appetizers, but the one that totally blew us away was the Grilled Double Cut Smoked Bacon. It was the first time we got it, and it was easily the best thing I've eaten all year and maybe longer than that. I could write a whole review just on that. For our entrees, I ordered the 28 Day Dry Age NY Strip and my husband had the Bone In Rib Eye. Both steaks were delicious and perfectly cooked. My husband usually gets the Wagyu Ribeye, which literally melts in your mouth. The sides perfectly complement the entrees. I think we've had almost all of them, and they are all great."

  • "The steak is very good - and the popovers, but for our table every order their meat medium rare and got rare. One person could not eat their Lamb - because it was too raw. Desserts were good. Side dishes - priced similar to other steak houses and usually meant to be share portions were surprisingly small. The spinach was ridiculously small and we had to order 2 for 4 people. Servicer was often distracted and hard to flag down when meat was bad or drinks were needed. It is way too loud there to hold a business conversation. For the price and the experience, it's going to be hard to recommend to others unless they only care about the piece of meat they are eating and I would advise they order one shade more cooked than they want it."

  • "The food was very good and the service was as excellent. I'd highly recommend the tuna tartar as an app and the truffle mash potatoes and bacon roasted brussel sprouts as sides. As for entrees, we had the filet and Ny strip, both excellent, but you can't go wrong with any of the cuts. It really depends on your preference. It's expensive but good for that special occasion."

  • "i was there for valentine's day. Nice restaurant and thought the service was very good. The lamb shank and 28 day aged steak was a nice choice for our dinner, but seriously, the meats were disappointing. Next to zero flavour. Felt like a lion eating fresh meat. Bland food. Shame. Desserts were thoroughly enjoyed. i still would recommend to a friend as they have a pretty big menu. I am sure there are many hidden gems on that list."

  • "Went to BLT for dinner the evening after Valentines for two. Our server, while very nice was not very knowledgeable about the menu needing to go back to the kitchen on several occasions to clarify items that came with seafood platter for 1. Our wait time for the food was timely and the food was good but not great. The steak was seasoned and prepared well but the asparagus came out cold and was soggy. Decor of the restaurant was nice but thought the huge diner style menu on the wall was out of place. It definately takes away from the overall ambience of the restaurant and recommend they get rid of it. I was expecting a higher level of service at this price point and came away dissapointed."

  • "A good enough meal but pretty expensive for what they offered. The Hem mushrooms were overdone and the Brussels Sprouts were disappointing. The steaks were fine and cooked properly but I did not think the cuts exceptional enough to warrant the price. Then there is the noise from the bar which is especially annoying when the loud celebrants are seated and a large table next to yours. A restaurant this expensive owes it to the customers to provide the meal in a relaxing atmosphere it seems to me. The Main course arrived before we were finished with our salads. Were were eating slowly but this is what good service is supposed to be able to handle especially when the room is mostly empty as it was the night we were there during a snow storm."
