  • "Usually very impressed with BLT, but for brunch we were very disappointed. The service was lacking; I had to ask for food that was supposed to come with my meal. Some tables had popovers, and we were not offered any (one of the reasons we love BLT). It was also very overpriced for brunch. $4 for coffee is a bit excessive. I will go back again, but maybe just stick to dinner."

  • "This restaurant is one of the best we have ever been to, and also one of the most expensive. We did the prix fixe menu for two with 3 courses for $145. We were over $100 per It was well worth it. The ribeye steak was delicious and came with multiple sauces. We tried the chimichurri and bearnaise which were fantastic. We also tried the halibut: perfection. Roasted artichokes, lobster corn risotto and wedge salad rounded out the meal. The dessert was homemade graham crackers and marshmallows over a pot of melted chocolate, with strawberries and sponge cake for dipping. The only thing that could be improved was that there was not enough food to dip. We had lots of chocolate left over. The coffee was served piping hot and was delicious."

  • "We dined at BLT Steak for the second time in 3 months. The first time our experience was shaky because of raucous post-game celebrations associated with the LA Lakers being in town. This time, the distraction was the "World's Largest Pub Crawl" in celebration of St. Patrick's Day. Traffic was a nightmare and an endless stream of intoxicated revelers paraded by the windows facing College Street. A problem for BLT Steak is that it can never offer the intimacy of the dining room at The Capital Grille due to its location. The food is similar in quality, though I'm partial to the NY Strip at TCG. The biggest difference in quality however is the wait staff. Can't beat the professionals at TCG and the manner in which they manage the meal."

  • "Our waiter could not have been more attentive or engaging. Really wonderful service However, at the end of the day, nothing we had stood out above the crowed. The food was terribly overpriced, our steaks a little over done, and the potatoes were not hot when they arrived. Wine list included several options but, again, terribly overpriced. The music was too loud and it was difficult to carry on a conversation. We had a pleasant evening but will most likely not visit BLT again. For three people our final bill was over $700 and not the meal we anticipated."

  • "Had an amazing meal, start with roasted beet salad and caesar salad... best caesar salad Ive ever had... for dinner the filet with giant baked potato (its like dessert) onion rings, burger with hand cut fries.. all amazing, cooked to perfection and delishious. For dessert split the key lime tart which was the perfect little taste of dessert after all the rich food. The service was top notch... eating here is an experience, its was very relaxing and enjoyable.. definately a top reccomendation for a special evening out."

  • "We joined BLT for their 10th Anniversary party and thoroughly enjoyed our experience from the liver pate to the complimentary chocolate brownie bites at the end! The braised ribs and jalapeno mashed potatoes were outstanding, and the caeser salad was very fresh with wonderful toasted cheese bits. The popovers are always a welcome surprise. Ashley provided us with impeccable service and deftly divided up the salad and ribs for us to split! Our favorite spot for very special occasions."

  • "Dined at BLT for a girl's night during the CIAA weekend. The staff was very accommodating even though the restaurant was packed. The food was delicious and we never felt rushed even though the restaurant was closing for a private event later that evening. BLT offers the best service in Charlotte and I will return soon."

  • "Food is delicious and service is excellent! Do not forget about BLT for lunch. I made a reservation here for a team lunch (7 people) and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the BLT experience. THe accoustics of the restaurant are great - by that I mean you can actually hear each other around a table of 7! If you go out for "business" lunch in Uptown you know that can be tricky to find."

  • "The place is perfection from the Maître d to the water staff! I highly recommend this to anyone who appreciates fine dinning. The popovers are amazing, the steak was perfectly prepared and you can cut it with a butter knife. The Brussel sprouts highly recommend ! I had the Seafood platter, AMAZING!"

  • "We had brunch/lunch at BLT prior to seeing the play The Mountaintop on 2/23/14. The blackberry lemonade was just the right amount of tart and freshness. The eggs benedict was divine with the cheese biscuit being a fabulous switch up from the common English muffin. I may never have it anywhere else. The pancakes served in a skillet were delicious! To top it off the service was impeccable. We are looking forward to the next visit."

The service was below par for a fine dining establishment & it was obvious that our server did not want to be there.It took her forever to take our order, refill our drinks & to get us our check. They were out of several items we ordered & food was just ok. I had requested a special dessert be brought out because we were celebrating a 30th bday. I had expected the server to bring out a dessert w/a candle or "Happy Bday" written on a plate (like they do at other Ritz rest.), instead she handed my friend the menu & said "Pick a dessert for your birthday" That took the surprise out it. The restaurant is beautiful & I think if we had better service, the experience would have been worth another visit"

  • "I work in the industry around Charlotte and I love to try new places with my girlfriend so we go out often to many nice restaurants around town but this was terribly disappointing. We went out for a nice dinner because my mom and sister were visiting and we wanted to show them a good time. My food was cooked well but others at my table had to send back plates because food was not prepared properly. The apps were great and so were the sides but considering the price you pay for a steak and the fact that they came out wrong and was only moderately corrected makes it inexcusable. You can get a better steak AND service at Flemings for a fraction of the price. Server was inattentive, the Somme was be-littling. If my mom wasn't there i'd been mad"

  • "Have been here before. Seated in a little bit cramped area in the back of the restaurant where I believe can can be partitioned off for small group presentations. The service was excellent the attention to detail was excellent. The food was just under outstanding. Entrées were excellent, sides were reasonable portion and very good. Dessert was above average. Wine list extensive. The pop over Puff pastries are to die for. Would recommend and go again."

  • "All I gotta say is whoever was in charge of cooking the scallops on February 15th needs to be fired. How do you mess up scallops? There is no excuse for overcooking and ruining them. My bartenders were wonderful but they couldnt make up for the food. I have been to other locations and will go back to them but Charlotte, most likely never again."

  • "The atmosphere and seating were wonderful despite a nearby group being very loud. It was a hot spot for Valentine's Day. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was very pleasant. However, overall I don't think that the food was worth the price. Better steaks can be had at Ruth's Chris for about the same price."

  • "My boyfriend and I went here for what was meant to be a romantic dinner date during a weekend trip to Charlotte. We were surprised to find the restaurant less romantic (bright lighting) and more energetic for a Saturday night. The bar was filled with guys watching a basketball game. At times, they'd cheer which made the evening very interesting. Overall though the food was EXCELLENT! I had the braised ribs and he had the filet. We couldn't have asked for a better meal or drinks! We'd definitely go back"

  • "The service was okay. My appetizer came out before I was asked or received bread. Mushroom Risotto was nothing spectacular. Unusual choice to include parsnips in it, but didn't match with what was a good textured risotto. Other steak places offered a filet for Queen's feast, BLT chose a hanger steak .Steak was okay. Came with Frites which were comparable to Arby's curly fries.The bernaise that was served with the frites couldn't save it- too sweet. Had the bourbon pecan torte. Again nothing spectatcular and actually seemed old and dry. The dab of gelato served with it was not enough.I had been to 6 other restaurants during the feast, including Del Frisco's,so my opininion may have been relative but this was a disappointment, none the less."

I love the little touches like giving out the recipe for the fantastic popovers you;re served before your meal so you can make them at home. I haven't tried it yet but I will!"

  • "This really isn't a fair review of the restaurant's food because we were there for Restaurant Week with a limited menu selection, but that is my main peeve.I thought the goal was to get people in the door the first time for a good deal and then wow them so that they would want to return and pay full price; however, the only steak featured was a hanger steak; otherwise it was NC trout or a stuffed chicken. Wine prices very high by the glass although excellent selections. Service is outstanding and just a nice atmosphere all around. But I don't think I would return to pay $42 for a filet since I didn't get the chance to see what would make it worth that price. They definitely should add more steak options to the Restaurant Week menu."

  • "I have been to the Lobby Bar at the Ritz Carlton many times, but had never tried the restaurant. When my friend chose it as her birthday selection (which also fell during Restaurant Week), I was delighted since neither of us had been there. From the moment we walked in, the service was excellent! I also knew it would be a great night when our server said he'd "return with popovers"!!! OMG!!! They were delicious - and only a prelude to more great food, great wine and desserts, and an overall EXCELLENT dining choice! I will definitely go there again!! Loved it!   • "Not bad. Amazing waygu steak. However our neighborhood butcher shop has a great restruant for half the price. The service was ok. I would expected higher quality if I'm paying 50 for a steak. Dont drop the salad on the table. Put it in front of the person who ordered it. I felt like I was at an Applebee's. We won't go back bc of the service. I understand it was restruant week. However that is no excuse to treat your customer especially if you want them to come back."

  • "Tuna tartare was amazing. Hanger steak so-so. Server was ok. Was baffled by the fact that we wanted to split our check when there were clearly 4 couples. She did it, but clearly wasn't happy about it. As a former server who knows how easy it is to split checks, I found it rude of her to be so obviously irritated to do a simple task- not a hospitable attitude. Would've been nice if my water glass was always full. Atmosphere was perfect. We had a lovely table. Overall, fun experience, but I expected better service from a high end place. Host staff was friendly and accommodating, server? not so much."

For appetizer we got the mushroom risotto. It was some of the best risotto I've had. They also brought out these amazing popovers -- so hot and fresh!! The entree was good -- probably would have been better off the regular menu. And the desserts were superb. I hear the dover sole is one of the best things to get. I will get that next time. In addition, the ambience is lovely. Definitely a place to try when you're in Uptown Charlotte."

  • "We were in town for a dance convention for our daughters. We went to BLT Steak for breakfast both days we were in town - everything was outstanding and we highly recommend this restaurant. The French Toast and the Eggs Benedict were the best around. The service was terrific. The staff even remembered us and have us the same table on day two... Very professional and friendly. Thank you for such wonderful experiences in your beautiful restaurant! Until next time...."
