A word from BLT Steak at Camelback Inn, A JW Marriott Resort
BLT's Modern American Steakhouse concept is beautifully executed within Camelback’s Paradise Valley setting.

A long dark wood bar, reclaimed mesquite wood floors and striking views of Camelback Mountain afford guests a memorable setting for BLT’s signature blend of American flair and French classicism. Contemporary Southwestern styling plays host to cosmopolitan steakhouse fare at BLT Steak. Unwind in the BLT bar, enjoy an intimate indoor setting, or dine in the outdoor courtyard enveloped in Scottsdale’s natural allure, where the views of Camelback Mountain at sunset are spectacular.

No matter where your table, masterful combination of prime beef – Certified Black Angus and Wagyu – and rich sauces is superb. Fresh seafood, lamb, chicken and veal round out the menu. Original salads and appetizers are delectable beginnings to your sumptuous meal, while signature popovers and savory side dishes are the perfect accompaniment to your meal.

Diner Reviews
  • "Expect an expensive evening. With that in mind, we also expect high quality food and service to justify the price point. That's where BLT fell short. The restaurant is lovely, particularly outside, where the spring Phoenix views are breathtaking. We made reservations, but still were unable to sit outside (be sure to request it on your reservation). The menu is quite tantalizing for the meat lover, but is not friendly for alternative diets, such as gluten-free (wait staff had no idea about gluten contents of the menu). The wine list is ELITE. I could not wait for an opportunity to try a Wagyu ribeye steak (have never seen it on a menu). Alas, they were out... I got a "regular" ribeye steak, which they overcooked twice. Food was OK"

  • "We celebrated our son's 30th birthday for our first visit to this restaurant. We enjoyed a drink on the patio with a wonderful view of the Camelback Mountain, then had a table inside, but right next to an open door. The food and service were great with none of the formal, stuffy ambience at many comparable steak houses. BLT is now our go-to steak house, and we will be back for happy hour on the patio."

  • "BLT is the hidden gem of steakhouses. Rather than the run of the mill chains, BLT keeps true to its roots and serves excellent primed steaks and other items if you prefer. Rack of lamb is very good. We'd recommend this steak place above all others in the Phoenix area and we've been to most!"

  • "We were going to be out all day & didn't want to drive somewhere for dinner from the hotel, but the hotel had HUGE events happening this particular evening, so we were a little nervous. No good reason for the concern - kudos all around to the Camelback Inn! A true inconvenience was parking, which managed to get handled & to our good fortune, we'd chosen to go ahead & try BLK Steakhouse & enjoyed a wonderful, wonderful dinner - from the interesting and delicious popovers to the highly recommended dover sole and everything in between, our tastebuds were happy! The ONLY caveat - this is not a bargain meal! We were prepared for costly, but there were items that could have been more reasonably priced. We're still glad for a great experience!"

  • "This restaurant is wonderful. The food was sublime, the ambience was classy, and the service was impeccable. Our salads were delicious, and we both had steaks and vegetables. All were superb. The servers are attentive, thoughtful, and give appropriate suggestions. Save room for dessert!"

  • "We have dined here before, and we thought it to be a great spot for our last dinner on vacation, and as usual BLT did not let us down!"

  • "From the popover rolls to dessert, this steakhouse delivers the goods. One of the best hotel restaurants I have ever eaten in, and I have dined at a lot all over the world. Highly recommend this gem."

  • "We had reservations @ 8pm, we were in on time, had exceptional service, and my husband tells EVERYONE how he had the best steak EVER. We wanted a nice , quick, meal- we set the pace for the meal and our server made sure that the timing was spot on- we were in and out in 1 hour 15 minutes- perfect for our schedule"

  • "This is our "go to" restaurant for all occasions but especially our special occasions! Consistently one of the finest restaurants in all aspects....service, food, ambiance. Simply one of the best"
    Dined on 3/21/2014
  • "The steak, filet, was just OK - no big thrill. The tuna tartar was fabulous - one of the best ever! For the price I'd try many others before returning."
    Dined on 3/20/2014
  • "The service is not only very slow, they accidentally gave away the dinner of one of the people sitting at our table. First they said it was coming and then they said they accidentally gave it away. It was really handled poorly too by the manager. They removed the price of that plate from our bill after my husband insisted. The waiter was kind and professional. It appears it was the servers but we were never sure."

  • "The dining experience at the BLT Steakhouse was outstanding. The food was prepared as ordered, delivered in a relaxed timeframe and servers were attentive to the occasion, but without being intrusive. The view from the patio was a spectacular panorama of Camelback Mountain with orange/pink hues as the sun was setting. We plan to return soon. Well done."

  • "What a wonderful place to enjoy excellent food, ambience and views. Chris, our waiter for the evening, is knowledgeable, kind, courteous and makes the evening a pleasure. Our "go to" place to celebrate special occasions, or just have a wonderful evening out."

  • "Were seated on patio. Great views, but if we had known that no heaters would be provided, we would have opted to be seated indoors. Service was very slow - we waited over 20 minutes for bread to be brought to table, and that happened after we reminded our server twice. From the time we ordered to the time our entrees were brought to table, over 60 minutes had elapsed. In the meantime, outdoor temp dropped considerably. Our server brought out a shawl for me to wear, and although it was warm, it made it difficult to eat, once our food arrived."

  • "This is our second anniversary we have celebrated at BLT. The Dover Sole and steaks are the best in Phoenix."
    Dined on 3/3/2014
  • "We lucked out! We visited on the 10th anniversary of opening. March 4, 2014. Special prices on special plates. We enjoyed Dover Sole and Strip Steak. NIce sides. And...penaut butter chocolate musse!!! Wonderful!!!"

  • "Noisy, slow service. My steak (rib eye) was good Burt lots of gristle. Hanger steak very tasty, but a little on the tough side. Both well cooked. Sides were deliciouss. Meal was expensive, since potatoes and sides are all extra. All in all pretty expensive for a so so dining experience."

  • "The food was the best steak we have had in Scottsdale. Unfortunately we waited a very long time for the food to arrive, the staff was apologetic and took good care of us. I will go back because the setting and the food were great ."

  • "We made a reservation last minute for a large party and the restaurant was very accommodating. The food was absolutely amazing. It was a great experience and I can't wait to go again"
    Dined on 11/29/2013
  • "As for many top shelf steak houses the food was excellent, the portions were fit for a healthy appetite but the thing that set it apart for us was the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff from welcome to departure. They were present but not intrusive and friendly but not fawning or obseqious. We felt as if they had known us as old friends."
    Dined on 2/24/2014
  • "The bartender was a little uppity and there was no copper mug for my Moscow mule but we had a wonderful time."
    Dined on 2/14/2014
  • "Our server took our wine order and came back about 15 minutes later with the wine and mentioned "oh, by the way, my name is***" He never took the time to explain to the specials. He did not return to our table for at least 30 minutes when he asked if we needed anything while we waited for our entree, at which time we told him we were still waiting for our appetizer. He somewhat apologized and another indiviual brought us our appetizer. Our meal then came almost immediately after but the waiter remained invisible until he dropped off our check. He did not seem to notify management of the oversight. For this price point I would not only not recommend this restaurant, but I would advise diners to go down the street to Ruth's Chris."

  • "Have been here many times. Went for my daughters's birthday dinner recently. Will keep going back. Service is excellent (ask for Chris-He's the best). Was a bit crowded for a Sunday this time and I don't think the staff expected as many dinners. They seemed a bit overwhelmed BUT they still delivered a great dining experience albeit hectic. Steaks are awesome as usual. Lobster Salad appetizer eats like a meal so if you are in the mood, just order it for dinner or split it with someone. Popovers were hot and delicious!! Need I say more? Still no Sommelier so your server will have to help you with wine selections but it's all good. Notwithstanding the busy evening, we were not rushed and the experience was fabulous as usual."

  • "My first experience at a BLT. The yums: bacon app, brussel sprouts and mac & cheese sides, filet, wine. Our server was accommodating and present but not hovering. A solid choice for a date or business dinner. Outside patio dining is lovely."
    Dined on 2/19/2014
  • "While this restaurant has wonderful dry aged beef, they put too much butter on the steak and everything else. Felt like a heavy meal generally."
    Dined on 2/14/2014
  • "Our party of four had a nice dinner. The steaks and prawns were very good. But we will probably will choose another place from the wide variety availabe for our next big night out. The ambiace was kind of ordinary - it seemed like we were eating in a bar."
    Dined on 2/14/2014
  • "The wait service was terrific. The only negative was the time it took to prepare our food. Yes, it was a busy Valentine's Day evening, but isn't that your business?"
    Dined on 2/14/2014
  • "We eat here often and love the Poppers and great sauces. Good menu with great choices. Always good service."
    Dined on 1/31/2014
  • "The chef sends two complimentary offerings, warm pate, and fabulous cheese popovers. The double cut flash fried bacon with chimichuri sauce was great. Wagu steak so tender you could cut it with a fork. Personable and attentive wait staff. A very enjoyable evening."

  • "Third time there and it has never failed to live up to my expectations."
    Dined on 1/21/2014
  • "This was our third visit to BLT. As was the case previously, our steaks were delicious and perfectly prepared. The popovers alone are worth a visit. The wine list is overpopulated with overpriced wines. And I am sorry to report that our server seemed stiff and inauthentic - almost pretentious. Also, the interior dining room space lacks charm, and the lighting is odd. In the past, we have dined on the patio - which is lovely. Too chilly this time of year. We would still recommend BLT for the steaks - but there are more charming restaurants in the area. And certainly one can find warm and authentic service elsewhere. Given the cost of dining at BLT - one would hope for a completely amazing experience!"

  • "Just a real nice job on the steaks here. Bone in ribeye is a real winner and the filet was cooked perfectly. Those cheesy popovers will fill you up but I can't say that's a bad thing. Man are they good! Sides were decent and the requested"crispy" fries were nice. Staid service in keeping with their standard clientele is to be expected. Semi stuffy I suppose but the quality of the food overshadows that aspect. Not cheap... $222 w/tip for 2, 3 drinks. I'd go back for another special occasion."
    Dined on 1/4/2014
  • "Love the signature popovers... everything else is very well prepared and served as one would expect from a first rate steak house."
    Dined on 1/4/2014
  • "We dine around a lot but BLT is still our favorite Steak House. Chef Swartz has yet to disappoint us with his fare. We had our usual favorites (Double Cut Bacon, Popovers, and the Short Ribs) and our server Peter talked me into the mushroom covered dry aged KC Strip which was amazing! This is our favorite place to bring our out of town guests!"
