We love dining there.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMMade reservation at last minute!I made our reservation at the very last minute, and it was a really good move! Our service and meals were fantastic! We were able to park right next door in the lot. We were going to a production after dinner, and our food came out in the perfect amount of time! We were right on time for the theater. We love this place!5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMAwesome! We always have to eat at Blossom whenever we come to Charleston. Consistently good food, fun atmosphere.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent!Went for lunch with out-of-town guest. Superb, especially the oyster sliders!5/2/2013 12:00:00 AMBlossomWonderful food, moved to number one on our list of places to go when we come to charleston5/2/2013 12:00:00 AMBlossomThere were four of us dining early evening. We all ordered something different and we were all very pleased with our selections. The portions were perfect and the flavors were marvelous. The price range moderate and a very good value. We will definitely be back!5/1/2013 12:00:00 AMSeafood treatI enjoyed the small bite option of sea scallops in a potato and corn base. All deliciouse. Expensive but good for special treat out with friends.4/30/2013 12:00:00 AMThis was not my first timeThis was not my first time at Blossom and the last visit was superb! This time there were two issues. First - it was COLD. The tables near the windows are under the AC vents and blew directly on us through dinner. I wouldn't sit there again. Second - my shrimp and grits were good, just good not great. Could use more flavor. My companion's flounder was fabulous, as was our oyster appetizer. The service was also superb. I will definitely go back again when I am in Charleston.4/29/2013 12:00:00 AMSeafood salad was deliciousSeafood salad was delicious and the sunroom in the back is a great place for brunch dining without sitting in the direct sunlight.4/28/2013 12:00:00 AMWent for lunch on SaturdayWent for lunch on Saturday afternoon and we were glad we made a reservation as it was v. Busy. They seated us within 2normal minutes at a table for 2 with a nice view of the outside dining area which had a fountain & pretty flowers. Our waitress was very pleasant and very efficient. She helped service a party of 20 near us and never missed a beat with our table.
We both had the veggie wraps which came quickly and were v fresh, tasty, & affordable. It was in the French quarter, another nice foodie area of Charleston close to the maret shopping.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food. The service wasGreat food. The service was excellent. We were seated immediately upon our arrival at our reservation time. A little too loud to be considered romantic, but we had a great time.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMWe've tried the sister restarauntsWe've tried the sister restaraunts and enjoyed them. Blossom didn't dissapoint. Food was very good, service was on point and we were seated in a timely manner. We got to Charleston regularly and will add Blossom to our list of favorites.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMAttractive and popular restaurantAttractive and popular restaurant on East Bay St. Both the food and the service were excellent, despite its being a busy Friday night.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMOverall, the food was veryOverall, the food was very good. My Mahi Mahi was large and flavorful. However, my wife said her soft shell crab dish was too salty and not as good as the same dish the evening before at another local restaurant. The Creme Brûlée, however, was outstanding.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMPerfect Dinner Spot!Everything was exquisite- from the delicious soft shell crab special (which we got as an appetizer) to the mahi mahi and the sirloin dish, to the wine and beer, and the fun upbeat ambiance. We had a fantastic experience. I would recommend this to anyone. We have lived downtown for sometime and we cannot believe we haven't been here sooner. We had a great time and will definitely be back.4/25/2013 12:00:00 AMFood was wonderful. A littleFood was wonderful. A little more spice on the trout would be nice. The fried tomatoes portion was a bit small. Ran out quickly since it was so good. Only three slices... Boo hiss4/23/2013 12:00:00 AMMake a Memory...First time at Blossom. We had a great meal, super service and very nice "ambience." Only minor drawback was the "energetic" noise level. They might want to think about putting some sound deadening wall hangings to help drop the decibels. But that was minor. We really enjoyed the evening, never felt rushed. The appetizers and she crab soup were great. The main courses (flounder and short rib) were fantastic. A definite must for any visitor who wants a great memory of Charleston.4/23/2013 12:00:00 AMExecellent food. Busy atmosphere,Execellent food. Busy atmosphere, but server did an admirable job. Appreciate gluten free options. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this restaurant.4/22/2013 12:00:00 AMEllison is the best!Great experience, as usual. Food was excellent, especially the duck and also the flounder. Ellison is a great waiter and made our experience the best!! I feel this restaurant doesn't get enough credit in the Charleston dining scene but is one of the best in the city.4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMThe meal was delicious andThe meal was delicious and the service was excellent. Samuel was very helpful with the menu choices. The portions were substantial. We will definitely eat there again.4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat dinnerWe tend to visit this restaurant more for lunch than dinner but on this night we realized that it is a great dinner spot as well. The more casual of this groups three restaurants is showing its age but the food and service were both great. A great value.4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMMy wife and I dined a totalMy wife and I dined a total of three times (brunch, lunch, and dinner) at Blossoms, and we weren't disapointed at any time. We had not been to Charleston in well over 20 years so we were basically newbies to the food scene. Our daughter, the foodie, gave us a shopping list of places to dine (e.g. Husk, FIG), all of which were wonderful and perhaps a little bit more creative, but my overall favorite was Blossom. The food, ambiance, the service all left such a lasting impression that I promise we will be back on our next trip to Charleston.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMEnjoyed our lunch on the patioEnjoyed our lunch on the patio - recommend the Salmon Club, minus the extra slice of bread in the sandwich. Also, recommend the Ruben Sandwich. Great place for lunch!4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMSome of the best food youSome of the best food you can get. Perfect local seafood! Much too noisy if you sit in the middle o the dining room! Had the best waitress ever.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat meal, Great serviceMy wife and I ate here on a Friday night on a recent visit to Charleston. The dining room is quite pleasant and even though it was full it never got too noisy for conversation. Our server, Eric, was very attentive and dealt with my wife's food allergies in a confident and competent manner. He was unafraid to give honest recommendations on menu selections. As an added bonus he gave us a bunch of recommendations for other places to try while in Charleston. The entire staff is very friendly, going out of their way to make us feel welcome.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMA favorite go-to placeA pleasant evening at an always reliably very good restaurant. Food and wine excellent, service friendly, ambiance just right.4/15/2013 12:00:00 AMI and my guests enjoyed ourI and my guests enjoyed our food..only complaint was one persons vegetable side platter was served tepid and needed to be reheated. We'll be back!4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful place that neverWonderful place that never fails us when we are in Charleston.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMOne of My "Go TO" RestaurantsThis is definitely one of my "go to" restaurants when I'm visiting Charleston. The location is on a main street in the city of Charleston and close to many historic sights. I love the casual atmosphere, menu choices, and food preparation. The service is consistently great. My husband and I were in the mood for buttermilk fried oysters and were pleasantly surprised to see it on the menu. Shrimp and grits is a common dish served in the area and the chef does an excellent job with his/her preparation. Can't wait to be in the city again and visit Blossom, one of my favorite restaurants.4/11/2013 12:00:00 AMWe enjoyed the meal very much.We enjoyed the meal very much. Would definetly go back4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMA quaint little restaurantA quaint little restaurant with Great fish dishes, as that is what we had. They had nice bread and herb butter as well. They had a decent selection of wine. We had a table that faced the street, which was great for people watching. Friendly, courteous staff and delicious food. We would definitely visit again, if in the area. They even had some cool, local, blown up photographs which the waiter was able to tell us about, which was a nice surprise.4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMWe enjoyed our dinner veryWe enjoyed our dinner very much before heading to our musical. It was wonderful that parking was offered.4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Place for Great FoodAs always, Blossom delivers consistently good food and service. Definitely would go back.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMThis was our second visitThis was our second visit to Blossom, our first was many years ago. And the food does not disappoint. We dined for brunch this trip and really enjoyed the farm fresh eggs, homemade mini biscuits and delicious Gravy! There were ample choices on the brunch menu. We will visit again on our next Charleston trip!3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMEaster brunchWe went for Easter brunch; we arrived early, waited 15 minutes, which was for our actual reservation time, so no problem there. Noise level was high but it was quite busy, as expected. Reservations are a must. Brunch choices were varied; I had shrimp and grits which were very good; my husband had a pulled pork hash which was very different. The other couple ordered usual breakfast choices, both good. Drink prices were high. We were told ahead we could get Mimosa carafes for $10, but they were almost out of champagne (1:30pm),and were told to order individual drinks, but at higher prices. Drinks ran $8, and $11 for a house wine. Overall food was good, drinks expensive, service was excellent. Would like to go back.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMMy wife, Nancy, and I haveMy wife, Nancy, and I have made reservations at either Blossom's or Magnolia's every Easter,Father's Day and Mother's Day for the past 10 years. We have always been pleased with all aspects of our dining experience. We have and will continue to recommend these two restaurants to our friends.
We look forward to our next occasion there.
E. DuBose Blakeney III3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMI have eaten at Blossom severalI have eaten at Blossom several times both for dinner and weekend brunch. Overall, I feel the ambiance of the restaurant is best for lunch/brunch, but I have had an excellent dinner there. Blossom has several good fish items on the dinner menu, and the cocktails were excellent. My husband and I ate here for Easter brunch. The restaurant was definitely more casual for brunch, and they had only the usual brunch menu available. I was expecting a slightly different holiday menu, but my crabcake benedict was very good. Their grits are outstanding, nice and rich without being grainy. Overall, for a dressier date night, I might choose High Cotton, Anson, or SNOB instead, but for a nice casual dinner, Blossom is a great choice.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMGood food, great for smallGood food, great for small groups or romantic dinners for two. Service was great.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AM
