  • "The restaurant was not busy and the waitress Lucy did a very poor job in refreshing are beverages and taking our plates."

  • "Group of coworkers went for lunch. Variety of options. Service was a little slow for lunch hour. Pleasant atmosphere."

  • "Salad "greens " were combination of limp greens and mostly the white parts you find at base of. Romaine lettuce leaf. Tuna slices tasted like they'd been around awhile. Disappointing."

  • "I had lamb chops and lobster tail. My friend had the swordfish. Everything was cooked to perfection. Great beer and wine list and even better service. One and only drawback is that all sides are extra. Silver lining is that the sides are large enough to share. Loved it! I'll definitely be back soon!"

  • "I have had the opportunity to visit for both lunch and dinner recently. They have a nice menu selection. Our meals were well prepared and the service was excellent. I particularly enjoyed the way their lamb was prepared."

  • "Stopped here on a trip from Iowa. Looking for a decent restaurant for my girlfriend and I. The best part of the meal was the salad. While I feel the whole meal was overpriced around $100 for two with steak and tip. The steak was terribly cooked and lacked flavor. Wait staff was dismissive and lacked enthusiasm. Seemed as if we were a burden. I would not recommend this establishment to anyone. For giving the mirage of being a high level steakhouse they definitely fell very short. Save your money and pick another steakhouse."

  • "The Service was very good. Ambiance was good, and only a few people in the restaurant at 6:30 on Saturday. The walleye cakes were good, the Chop house salad was very refreshing. The large stake filet was very good and cooked to the required way. I ordered the Walleye stuffed with crab and it was over cooked to the max. I had to cut it with a knife. I could only take a few bites and told the waitress of it not being cooked correctly. At that point I didn't want a new one and she offered us free desert. Overall the dinning experience was average. They are very overpriced but it is something to expect in a hotel restaurant. I would spend the the $ 225.00 at any of the great restaurants in the Twin Cities. We will not being going back."

  • "Fabulous place for paleos. Grass fed beef and bison. Terrific salads. Knowledgable and attentive staff. Nice wine list!"

  • "My wife and I went to the Chop House for Valentine's day evening. The ambience was excellent and we never felt it was noisy or lacking privacy. Our server was attentive and knew the menu well, especially when making recommendations from the wine list. As for the food, the chop salad had good flavors, but was underseasoned. The lobster macaroni and cheese also had pretty good lobster flavor, but again we felt it was underseasoned. As for the main course, we both had the filets. These were as good as any filets I have had throughout Minneapolis's best steak restaurants; both perfectly prepared,well-seasoned and full of flavor. A very, very good filet to say the least. Overall, we had a nice dining experience and will return for more filets."

  • "Bloomington Chophouse has always been our go to restaurant for steaks, however, we had a very disappointing experience on Valentine’s Day. Our regular server, Gail, was not working and service suffered because of it. Our salad was delivered minutes after ordering which gave the impression it was premade. We never received bread and after receiving our steaks no one checked back on how they were prepared. The check was brought to the table without an offer for dessert. We felt very rushed. We had a 7:00 reservation and were gone by 7:40? Not the experience we were hoping for from our favorite restaurant."

  • "The food here was delicious. The staff was attentive and very friendly. My only complaint would be that they brought out the wrong plate for me, fortunately it looked even better than what I had ordered so I stayed with the one given to me."

  • "Boring with slow service. Food was ok, lots of better spots in town for the $."

  • "I took my Valentine to Bloomington Chop House, I know I know, must've been late to make reservations. It was the 9:30 slot and the service was very slow to bring out my medium rare steak so I had a cold plate when we finally got to eat, needless to say I had to send it back and my date had to wait for it to return before she would continue. He then forgot the bolognaise and it looked like it had less Oscar on it than when I sent it back. The Caesar salad was way too big for a single person and had 4 times the amount of parmesan it required, and I love cheese. The chopped salad was apparently the way to go, much better portioning. The Lobster Mac 'n Cheese was actually pretty good but I was so frustrated I couldn't eat anymore."

  • "My steak was dry and served on the cool side. It seemed it was pre-cooked then warmed up and served. My wife orderd lamb chops medium rare and they came medium well. Service was poor. The food was dropped off without asking if everything was as ordered and if there was anything else we needed. It wasn't until 10 minutes later than the waitress came to ask about our food. I don't recommend the restaurant but if you go do get the pothole ice cream."

  • "Giving patrons a rose on Valentines is a nice touch. We picked the location for the special menu and it was delicious. When asked questions about the menu the waiter gave suggestions and was patient. We both had steaks and they were excellent. We had Pork appetizer and it was delicious. I can be a picky eater but ate everything because it tasted so good."

  • "Only 1 other table being used when we arrived and we were sat across from the kitchen door. Our past experiences have been if we're going to drop that much money for dinner, someone will ask if the evening is special. Not here. The Busboy frequently walk by and looked in at our table but never once offered to refill our water glasses. He would take some of the used plates and glasses but others would leave there. After dessert, he wanted to take the plate before I got the fork out of my mouth from the last bite. The Manager stopped by our table to ask how our dinner was and something else that we couldn't understand as he sped away."

  • "This was a great weekend getaway at the Hilton with a very nice dinner at the chophouse. Dinner for two with drinks about 150 including tip therefore we can only do it for special occasions. Good food"

  • "This is the 2nd time I've had lunch at The Chop House and loved it both times. The chop salad with steak is different than any salad I've had and is worth the visit. My husband had the shrimp and it was delicious too. He is gluten free and there were items marked gluten free so it made it easy for him to order. Service was friendly and attentive. Will go back soon!"

  • "If you want to make sure you get home for the ball drop, don't come here for NYE after 8pm. We showed up early and weren't seated until 45 minutes after our reservation time. The service from our waiter was terrible, but the runner was excellent. The food was good, though they left off a main component on each of our main courses and then the waiter argued with us when we pointed it out. He finally checked the menu and realized we were right."

  • "My wife and I were seated in what would normally be a conference room....very quiet and somewhat private since there were only (5) tables, and only 12-13 people. Much quieter than the main dining area. Service was very good and food was excellent. We'll be back."

  • "I ordered the bone-in ribeye medium rare with the trio of sides: lobster mac-n-cheese, green beans and roast asparagus. The steak was wonderfully aged and grilled to perfection. It was great without any additional sauces. The sides were half-orders and perfect for my hearty appetite. I did not have the appetizers or desserts. They looked great, but would have been too much with the large steak. Dennis was my server. He was very knowledgeable about everything on the menu and readily made recommendations when asked. He also seemed to magically appear when needed but did not hover or interfere with the meal. This was a very high quality dining experience for me."

  • "Extremely great steaks. Not a run of the mill place. High prices but excellent quality. Beats a lot of places in town. Excellent service. Not noisy either."
    Dined on 12/20/2013
  • "Chop salad was blended up "mush", 10oz strip steak looked and tasted like a thicker version of frozen minute steak. Fresh salmon was extremely fishy and a "chop house" without baked potatoes???? Come on! Service was friendly but really awkward. Two glasses of mid price wine and the bill was $150 with tip (although the wine was very good). Summary... overpriced low quality hotel food. See no reason to consider a return visit."

  • "The walleye was almost inedible. I have written to the general manager of the Bloomington Chop House. The fries were poorer quality than McDonald's - by far. There were four of us in our party; three of the meals were okay. There were no chops on the lunch menu. The name of the restaurant should be changed."

  • "We booked a table for 8 for our family for Thanksgiving. We were expecting to be eating in the restaurant, but were taken to a large meeting room which was part of the hotel. While this was fine, it was not the ambiance we were looking for on a special occasion like Thanksgiving. We were served white wine, but were not given an ice bucket to keep it cold - given the wine we ordered was a higher-priced wine, this was very disappointing. Additionally, we poured our own wine once it was initially served. Again, we expected a restaurant "service" experience - we didn't get it. Our waiter rarely came by once we had started eating."

  • "I have being staying in the hotel and eating at this restaurant for years now. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Food has been sliding year after year. three diners, all three steaks improperly cooked, two sent back one came back ok the other was actually a new cut of meat prepared almost right but a VERY tough piece of meat. Charceuterie special app was pretty good. Green Bean side was good. Caesar Salad very mediocre, not great dressing. This is not a cheap restaurant and I would consider the meat to be Outback quality and preparation the same. Wont be eating here again for a long while, might even switch hotels as walking to my room was a big part of the draw."

  • "the food was excellant. My wife and I shared the ribeye and it was plenty and it was excellant. The chop salad was uniquely prepared and also very good. The sides are great and al cart so it was nice that they offer a package of 3 sides. each of which is just enough to share for 2. We had the Lobster mac and cheese which was great, the brussel sprouts which were excellant and the scallop potatoes which were so-so."
