  • "We dined here for summerlicious on a Thursday night - a little apprehensive after reading previous reviews. Pleasantly surprised to have excellent, attentive service, and the food was fantastic! The only part of the experience that was a little odd was dining in a space that doubles as a bar/lounge, however in the end it did not detract from the experience at all. After dining at Canoe and Nota Bene for Summerlicious, this was definitely a different restaurant setting and experience, but a very fun and enjoyable one."

  • "Food was delicious, serving size of the lobster Guinness pie and the deep fried cheese cake were very small but the steak and brownie were just the perfect serving size. We would return for a summerlicious or winterlicious as the food was delicious but the music and atmosphere were much too club like for our taste."

  • "There was no hostess to seat us. After waiting 5min at the door we walked in and sat ourselves. Someone came to take our drink order and 2min later someone else came and asked again. We did not have a dedicated server and there wasnt really anyone around as this place is more of a club and there were only 4 or 5 parties in one area of the club. After 30min we finally flagged someone to take our order. The food was not very good and the portions were small."

  • "A friend of mine was visiting from Australia and I decided to introduce him to my group of friends over dinner at B & 4. The concept of staying one place to enjoy a great dinner over a few bottles of wine then heading over to club side afterwards, really made it appealing to everyone. Unfortunately our meals underwhelmed us. My steak was tepid and and everything on my plate was flavourless. I actually didn't finish it... No one else was particularly impressed with their meals either. Our waitress didn't appear to notice or care as she was rushing us while they were turning the restaurant into a nightclub. I'm not sure if it's always like this or if they were having a bad night, but there's definitely room for improvement."

  • "We had dinner here as part of Winterlicious 2014. The salad was quite nice and a decent size. The shirmp app was very small and a bit disappointing. The mains however, were excellent. We both had steak and shrimp. Good portion size, cooked to our liking, and wonderful flavour. The deserts were also very good. This would definately be a good place to go to have dinner and then stay for some dancing/partying, althoug I cannot comment on the crowd/scene, as we only did dinner. The atmosphere is nice/trendy. Service was very attentive. Our waitress told us that the chef is from Trevor (another Toronto restaurant)."

  • "Interesting experience. Couldn't find the place at first because there was no sign or street number. Strong smell of weed when we entered (they thought there might be ventilation issues, no one was smoking inside). Appetizer - fried halloumi with dates. Halloumi may have been fried at some point but it was cold when we got it. Still tasty though. Mains were pretty good, nicely cooked and presented. This was fortunate because no one came to see how we were doing after it was served. Dessert - chocolate bourbon caramel tart did not appear to be prepared on site, although I couldn't swear to it. If you like to have a coffee or tea after your meal, don't dine here. They don't serve them. Nightclub starts around 10pm and diners asked to vacate."

  • "Went with a friend for dinner here the other night and found their Winterlicious menu a delight. I started off with the beef cheek and worked my way up to the chicken/risotto and ended off with an apple tarte. I would have to say the appetizer and desserts really stood out for me. The atmosphere was a bit clubby and they could've turned up the heat a touch, but overall, great dinner out."

  • "Me and a friend of mine decided to come here.. The decision we made was a good one. The food was amazing and so was the wine. We are dinner in a friendly atmosphere, our server was great very friendly and even snuck us free dessert. Around 10pm the venue was subtly transferred into a club. The music at first was mostly techno which at that point was the only thing ruining our night. But after a quick word to the dj and he switched it to hip hop and rnb. I will definitely be going back. And I recommend this place to anyone who knows how to have a good time and in not looking for a good time to find them !"

  • "Went there to celebrate anniversary. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Only thing is that they never offered or gave a special anniversary cake even though it was mentioned to them in advanced unlike other restaurants we've been to. But other than that, everything else was superb!"

  • "Small place but packs a punch when the lights turn down. Went there for dinner and then stayed later for some drinks at the bar. Beautiful staff. Met this one girl Sara who went out of her way to get me and my friends some drinks despite it being so busy at the bar. Really appreciate when someone takes time to notice the little things like that. Great spot to visit and will definitely do so again in the near future."

  • "Having the read the reviews, four of us decided to try Bloke & 4th for a girl's night kick off of a tapas-style dinner. Our reservation was for 8:30 and the place was basically empty when we arrived. Although some reviews suggest there is a restaurant ambiance, that is not the case. Bloke & 4th is a bar first and foremost. We decided not to stay as we wanted a different dinner experience, so I cannot provide feedback on food/service (had to pick something so went middle of the road). We did come back later in the evening for the bar scene and it was great!!"

  • "Went with some friends for Summerlicious. They didn't like their main entrée (fish tacos) but I quite enjoyed my braised ribs. The presentation of the food was lovely and our waiter was pleasant. Overall the place was fine. The only thing I did not enjoy was that the dessert came out before our mains were even finished. I joked with the the server that it may be a bit soon to serve the dessert and he didn't even care. It's as if they wanted us out as soon as possible. Oddly enough, the restaurant wasn't even full. So unfortunately that put a damper on our experience,"

  • "AMAZING service! Our waitress gave us extras of things we loved (ie. the bread), made great recommendations, and was super friendly and fast. Food was delicious... I don't think anyone in my party wasn't pleased with all 3 of their courses. Restaurant had a cool feel to it and would definitely make for a fun bar to hit up later at night. All in all, great night! The only hesitation I would have coming back would be $$... It is worth the price, however I would go in with the mindset that you will be spending more than the average restaurant."

  • "I decided to try Bloke & 4th with my boyfriend for a Summerlicious dinner date. I had only heard of Bloke & 4th's reputation as a bar, but I would certainly recommend it to friends for dining as well. I loved the tapas style menu, and every course we had was amazing. I had the shrimp, the fish tacos, and the creme brulee. I felt the Summerlicious menu was diverse and the portion sizes were good (often I find Summerlicious portions to be kind of chincy). The service was great and we didn't feel rushed (many restaurants seem to rush their customers out during Summerlicious). We will definitely be returning to try more items on the menu. Thank you!"

  • "The food was incredible. We had gone for summerlicious, definitely worth the money. I would go back every day if my budget allowed for it! The atmosphere is very chic. Halfway through out meal though (around 7:30), the music volume got very high, and it became very hard to hear the person sitting right across from you. Other than that, it was fantastic."

  • "I took a friend out for dinner this past Saturday at Bloke and 4th.. They were having the summerlicious menu.. Why try to be a restaurant when you are not? The waiter was very forgetful, he kept apologizing every time because he'd forget either the wine cooler or paper napkins. The food was average - Same level as moxies or below.. i think moxies actually has a better menu and I would not make reservations to go to moxies, at bloke and 4th I had to reserve a week ahead and leave a credit card on file. Service - very poor. Food - average. Staff- not happy to be working at bloke and 4th"

  • "Incredible flavours and incredible eye candy with each plate! The General Tao chicken wraps were delicious and fish tacos crunchy and spicy. My wife found the sliders a bit on the medium side but I felt they were great. We agreed the butter chicken meatballs were melt in your mouth heaven! The wine list was a bit brief and pricey however the quality offered was excellent."

  • "Bloke & 4th had great music and food and service. Our waitress was excellent. Although not necessarily the fault of the location, but it was full of women. Being a woman myself, this was fairly discouraging. The ratio of women to men was easily 5-1. I think this was partly due to at least 2 bachelorette parties. Any time one gender significantly outnumbers the other in this way, tends to affect the overall ambiance. I found that people were very into themselves and their groups and mingling was to a minimum. We left early. It was a great dining and experience and I would give it another go, as perhaps I just picked a bad night. Be mindful that the creme brulee has three bite-size portions, also in tapas style. A bit of a letdown, actually."

  • "First off I was a little tentative to go to Bloke & 4th having read the mixed reviews. My wife and I were there this past Saturday evening and had an amazing meal. First impressions - WOW - is it ever dark in there! I could not read the menu very well and thanked myselft for having read it thoroughly online before arriving. I commented to our waiter about 30 minutes in that I thought my eyes had finally adjusted. He joked that he had developed sonar! The food was amazing, and the portions were much larger than I expected. I had the Tuna and Salmon Tar Tare, Braised Veal Meatballs with polenta, and Bangkok Slaw. My wife had the Lettuce Wraps, Sliders & the Churros. I would recommend all of these dishes. I'm sure that we will return."

  • "Myself and 3 girlfriends had reservations last Saturday night for dinner. The waiter was very helpful with food recommendations. The cocktails were delicious and the wine list was good too. We decided on a prix fix of 3 tappas each to share for a total of 12 for the table - we doubled up on some items (shrimp & sliders). The food was amazing and we didn't leave hungry. The price was reasonable as well. The only negative was that our reso was for 8:30pm and when they were starting to get ready for the "club" aspect of the night it was very distracting when they were moving chairs, tables, etc all around us, making us feel rushed."

  • "Overall we liked it. When I booked online a table for 2 was only possible at 6:30 or 8pm (I was hoping to get in at 7), so I booked for 8pm. However we went on Friday at 7 hoping to get in early and there was no issue getting a table, as the place was practically empty. Not a huge deal, but kind of puzzling."

  • "I had a fantastic evening here! This is an excellent restaurant for foodies and anyone who likes to try multiple items without being overly stuffed. It is the perfect spot for a romantic evening with a loved one or even for a large group because of the fun atmosphere. The different flavors in each dish as well as presentation is definitely something worth coming to sample. We had a very friendly and knowledgeable server who took amazing care of us. We are definitely excited to come back again."

  • "Hit Bloke & 4th on for Winterlicious. Food was delicious and unique in taste/prep (chilli shrimp paired with mango, pork belly in a sweet/savoury glaze, etc.). The service was attentive and courteous (the waitstaff even recommended some cocktails to complement the meal choices). Well-decorated, with a bit of a UK underground vibe (probably more suited for a bar-lounge than a restaurant). You can tell that food/restaurant service isn't the venues primary function. It's definitely more inclined for a post-11PM crowd. The acoustics are meant to enhance noise, and there's always a dull roar of surrounding conversations that threatens to overpower the discussions at your own table. Still, a fun experience and would recc' for Winterlicious."
