Excellent chef, sophisticated cuisine, friendly and competent staff (a rare occurrence in Calgary) and absence of the arrogance characterizing a restaurant a few doors down on the same street. Excellent wines at a very reasonable cost as compared to most other upscale Calgary restaurants (e.g., I chose a superb Italian wine at $43 per bottle). While many Calgary restaurants offer great food and wine, what sets Blink apart is that you also get comfortable seating, from the chairs & benches to tables that are not squished. We had 6 adults that actually sat at a single table for 6 (not 2 moved together). PLUS we could easily carry on a conversation! Energetic background noise and music but lower volume was extremely delightful.
Finally the service was second to none! Friendly, funny, helpful and never overbearing.

I consider myself a bit of a foodie and this was really good.My partner had the beef tenderloin-amazing! I had a striped bass with gnocchi, it was divine! The only let down was the dessert.
