Bleu Restaurant and Wine BarMother's Day DateMy husband and I went to Bleu for an early Mother's Day date night. The restaurant maintained a great balance of fine dining ambiance, but with some very reasonably priced items on their menu. The service was friendly and efficient. My husband ordered the shrimp and grits, and he made lots of positive comments about the flavor and fair portioning of the food. I ordered a steak salad, which was artistically plated with pineapple, coconut, and a sweet vinaigrette. We ordered the rhubarb mousse with strawberries, which was light and delicious. I look forward to a future visit at Bleu, and I would recommend it to friends and family.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat for private partiesMade a reservation and ended up with a wonderful private alcove which kept the noise level adequate for our group to hold a conversation. The food was excellent and the service was great despite the busy prom groups that were dining at the same time.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food and service. MyGreat food and service. Food was great and the menu was elevated above most holiday buffet fare.
Price was very reasonable.
since we had a small child with us, I was grateful for having a seating time, instead of having to entertain him while waiting for a cleared table.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat BrunchBleu has an outstanding brunch. It's our favorite place to take weekend visitors. Brunch is normally $15 (20 for Easter Sunday), and it is money well spent.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazing! My reservation timeAmazing! My reservation time was kept with no waiting, the food was second only to the company I kept.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had our reservation throughWe had our reservation through OpenTable but when we arrived we found that the restaurant didn't open for another 1/2 hour. Turns out they had changed their hours but the message didn't get through to Open Table. The restaurant opened for us and seated us at our scheduled time and served us and everything was wonderful. We were told the restaurant is also stopping it's Saturday brunch. They did have some brunch items when we were there which were delicious. I think they should keep their brunch going on Saturday!3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMWhat a wonderful find. TheWhat a wonderful find. The food is expertly prepared, appealing to foodies and those with simple tastes. We wanted to try several dishes and highly recommend what we had. Each dish a winner. Goat cheese cake, brussel sprouts with bacon, duck wontons, filet with coke sauce, ceviche (a special that night)....I am still thinking about this meal. Finished with the Bleu's version of apple pie, a kind of deconstructed apple pie with wonderful homemade cinnamon ice cream. Service was as wonderful as the meal.1/20/2013 12:00:00 AM
