Bleu OliveVery Good Food!Very good food, with artistic flair, very nice service. Interesting menu and specials.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Dining ExperienceWent Duke Graduation weekend for dinner and could have not been happier with the choice of restaurant for dinner. Food and service were absolutely first class. Highly recommended.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMVery good food at a reasonableVery good food at a reasonable price in a relaxed environment.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMIf you like Greek or MediterraneanIf you like Greek or Mediterranean food that is made from scratch, you will be in heaven here. Appetizer, salads, main courses and dessert were all divine and the wine selected was excellent as well. Our server was very attentive and made us feel most welcome and special.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMunique, with a contemporaryunique, with a contemporary presentation of Mediterranean classics. We really enjoyed it.4/15/2013 12:00:00 AMPoppa's Redux with a TwistFor those of us who hated to see Poppa's revamped, we were wrong! The decor is beautiful and the food is even better than its predecessor, with many of the old favorites (Plaki style fish specials, Avlogemono soup to die for) and some wonderful new dishes (try the Pig Belly - I know, it sounds gross, but it is actually incredible bacon). We had double lamb chops, special chicken, shrimp orzo and the lamb special without a morsel left among us. Angela is there to assure everyone is happy and Poppa seems to be hiding in back, as usual. Thank You!4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMDelightful EveningThe best part about Bleu Olive Bistro was our waitress. She was a young woman that knew her stuff and really took tremendous care of the wife and me. She helped me navigate around my dairy intolerance, all the while looking to help - not just get rid of a problem. Her recommendations were spot on, including the Baklava for dessert (the best I've tasted anywhere). Dessert is practically impossible given the problems with dairy! The food came in a fairly simple presentation, but was bursting with flavor. We will definitely return if we get back to the Durham area.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food was very good andThe food was very good and the service was top notch. They are performing contstuction in the shoping center so there is no signage for the restaurant. A good place to go before a show at the DPAC.3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMThis is the reincarnationThis is the reincarnation of a restaurant that was called Papas, I believe. Same ownership. The concept has changed to a bistro feel and the menu has changed accordingly. The entrée prices have moderated somewhat, from the former restaurant (which was too expensive) but the wine prices are significantly too high. The food and service, however, were both great. The portion sizes were ample and the presentation was nice. This location is great for us, only a few minutes from our home in a completely remade strip center. We would recommend this restaurant for its food and service, we'd just recommend that you drink a glass of wine at the house before going, that way you save a good bit of money.3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMA good place for a relaxed eveningWe had a great evening with some friends recently. We had some lovely tapas to start with that were very tasty, although the lamb was a bit too salty. The main courses were very good with delicious salmon. The deserts were also vey good, with the Greek yoghurt with honey which was fantasic.
Although the restaurant was not full, the service was a bit slow. The staff was very friendly and accomodating, but it took about 30 mins before could order. The hostess was very knd, but it seemed that all the orders had to go through her.
We would come back, and we hope that service will improve some3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMNever a disappointment. AlwaysNever a disappointment. Always delicious. We've been for brunch lunch and dinner, can't decide which is our favorite.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMFirst time visit but I wouldFirst time visit but I would definitely go back. The Mousakka and the Baklava were wonderful!3/15/2013 12:00:00 AM
