"World travel and its pleasures; Items brought back from different places for decors; great stories shared with others and very importantly, some simple, yet delicious recipes from different cultures. Our mission is humble. It is simply for people coming to our restaurant, to be transported around the world, and to travel with us for an evening, to a place of well-being and happiness."

Bleu Bohème is designed to create a feeling of France's past generations. It mixes the Bohemian and Artistic free spirited Left Bank of Paris with the roots and tradition of the Rural Areas. Bleu Bohème is a neighborhood restaurant that serves accessible, affordable and comforting French Cuisine.

Menu had great entrees; I had New York Steak & DH had Bee bourginon - both delicious & plenty of country sourdough bread fresh from the oven . I can't wait to go there again!"

  • "Perfect for our anniversary dinner. We had a window table at sunset, enhanced by candlelight as the evening grew dimmer. Interior has a warm, French flair. Great date spot! Service was attentive, but never rushed. We loved options of "pichets" of wine (great wine list), so we could taste several wines without going to Tipsy Town! Hubby started with specialty bleu cheese martini; said it was the smoothest he ever had. Hearty country bread was fresh and warm. We shared a good size salad with THREE goat cheeses, mixed greens, sweetest grapes I've ever had, and shaved pear. Signature moules mariniere frites were scrumptious. Anniversary surprise: chocolate mousse dessert. A great spot to rekindle or start new love, especially with French food."

  • "I wanted to do something special the last day of my vacation that would not be expensive or out of the way. I had spent the prior week in the Grand Canyon, hiked to the bottom and, had a wonderful time. I usually visit Bleu Boheme for dinner but, I had received an invitation to experience their wonderful brunch. So, I asked my wife, "How would you like to go to Bleu Boheme for brunch", her eyes lite up. I made a quick reservation via Open Table and 20 minutes later we were being seated. Our waiter was polite respectful and very attentive. Our meals were delicious and the price was reasonable. Best of all, although there were several other groups, I felt as though we received very personal treatment."

Very casual, down-to-earth, approachable, well-appointed French-inspired fare Fabulous atmosphere. Informed, caring waitstaff. Terrific food and wine menus both. Superb recipes, impeccably prepared. Nothing not to love about this place…except not enough time to try everything on the menu. A great, great find in San Diego: Fellow foodies and French food lovers; sit up and pay attention; a must try -- you'll love this place!"

  • "This place is a jewel amongst the many offerings on Adams Avenue. The ambience is rustic, charming, and intimate. According to my dad (who spends a lot of time in France on business), the decor looks authentic. The food is always good (get the pork or chicken, in my opinion). They also make a great brunch... And (fingers crossed) you never have to wait for a table on Sat/Sun morning. Great selection of wines. Nice outdoor seating area as well."

  • "I've avoided Bleu Boheme for many months, because my last dinner there with family just wasn't good. There was an absurd delay in the arrival of the food, and the sauces were over-strong, and seemed to have alcohol that had not properly cooked off. Lunch was good this time, though. Nice sandwich, and great frites. It's hard to ruin a smoked salmon sandwich, so they're not yet back in my good graces...but I'll try them for dinner again at some point, since this wasn't the fiasco of my last visit."

Very irritating and frankly embarrassing,...as the late guest was asked there for her birthday. Our waitress seemed hurried and in a hurry for us to be done I cannot reccomend this after a yet another poor service incident"

  • "We dine frequently at Bleu Boheme, and we've always loved it. I've given it rave reviews before. For the first time, we ate from the Prix Fixe menu. My steak (ordered rare) was delivered medium-well. I returned it. The replacement was delivered quickly (by the manager?) and this time it WAS rare but, honestly, it was bland and not at all enjoyable. My wife had halibut - it was way overcooked. Also, service was "relaxed". We sat down at 5:30 (movie began at 7:00). Ordered our dessert at 6:30. At 6:45 I had to ask a bus-boy to hurry things along. Again, the manager stepped in, delivering our desserts. Given our prior excellent experiences, we will give it another chance - but it doesn't take long to lose customers......"

I ordered the Sea bass with mashed potatoes and asparagus, my guest ordered the Boeuf Bourguignon (beef short ribs in wine sauce) with baby potatoes and carrots both dishes were amazing. Our sever Faith provided great customer service and made the birthday celebration special. I look forward to dining at Blue Boheme soon."

  • "We were seated right away and our waiter came right over to offer water, bread and take our drink order. The restaurant haas French country decor and comfortable seating. French music playing was lovely. Everything we ordered was fabulous! Great sauces in particular. The saffron moules frites and profiteroles were standouts. I was so happy to find that the service matched the great food, as that has been rare in San Diego. We will be back with friends!"

  • "Service was excellent and fun Bordeaux was excellent. Escargot was tender (out of shell) but not that flavorful. Museels were good, but a little sweet. Tapenade on toasts were good, the Yellowtail was the BEST--crispy on the outside but moist. Tomato quinoa that excellent. All the desserts were excellent and tastefully small."

The New York Steak was ordered medium and I was given well-done. Did not bother sending the steak back since I was a bit in a hurry. Our waitress and staff provided exceptional service!"

  • "I have been to Bleu Boheme several times and have never been disappointing. The service is outstanding and food is perfect. We ordered a salmon appetizer that I loved! Followed by a salad maison and a burger. Everything was beautifully served and tasted even better. I brought a friend there and it was his first time at Bleu Boheme. He couldn't believe that he had never been before and couldn't wait to come back. I always enjoy my experience at Bleu Boheme and would definitely recommend it."

  • "Early Saturday for dinner to get to theater on time. Not crowded and food excellent as usual. But service was a bit spotty, not up to their usual high standards. Waiter told us all about the items that the new menu has eliminated (not sure why), forgot an order for a second glass of wine, and was unsure of the evenings specials. Had to ask for check after some wait. However, none of these minor glitches will knock Bleu Boheme from the top of our restaurant list..."

  • "The dinner my friend and I had last Tuesday at Bleu Boheme was exceptional. We started with the Salade Maison which was delicious. For entrees, we had the Halibut and Beuf Bourguigion; both were outstanding. The wine we chose and fully enjoyed was a Sancerre. Dessert thankfully was modest in size, just the right amout of chocolate mousse and profiteroles to share. The service was professional and friendly, Jaime was our server and contributed to our very positive experience. And the cost for this wonderful dinner was extremely moderate given that we ordered from the special Bohemian menu. Can't wait to go back. "
