We reserved our table and were seated immidently without having to wait for our full party of 5. The service was friendly. They never et your water get below 1/2. The server made good recommendations in wine. We ordered the cheese platet which was more then enough for our party of five. The food was delicious and served at the perfect temp. I would go back again for a special occasion or try the happy hour as I hear that is good as well.

4 friends dined on an empty Sunday eve after a review in Sunset Magazine. There is nothing better than its attractive and comfortable ambiance, the best part. It is trendy, but nothing like many routinely garish trendy modern angular new spots. It would be perfect for a romantic dinner, although we enjoyed it tremendously just as friends. I started with the beet salad, served in a narrow long dish with arugula --- wonderful. The lamb, especially the sauce, was also delicious. The bartender was exceedingly patient and helpful with wine selections. All 4 were pleased with dinner, but it was too much food. We would select several starters next time, and then split 2 main courses. Our only issue was the negative attitude of our server.

Bleu boheme offers an amazing menu and a great wine list! I am french and work for the French American Chaber of Commerce and I will recommend this resturant to all my friends and clients! American, if you want to try real tasty french food, this is the place to go! The service was excellent, it was the birthday of one of my friends, who visited me for few days, and we were pampered by the chef! The mussels, beef bourguignon, duck confit and profiteroles were excellent! We left the restaurant stuffed and happy like at home in Paris! Good job Ken Irvine! Merci

We dined here with a couple of friends and had a thoroughly enjoyable experience. The atmosphere was relaxed and nice, the service was informal but friendly and competent, and the food was perfect. Wine list was concise but good. Not much more needs to be said that. I have absolutely no complaints. You should not be disappointed.

We've had lovely service on prior occasions, so were shocked to have received the worst service we've received in as long as we can remember. After telling our wait staff the two wines we did not want (we had just had them by the glass in them bar and were looking for something different), and asked him a few questions about the wine list, he said he would check with someone who knew more. He came back and recommended the very two wines we indicated we didn't want. To our shock, he left us to our own devices (and the Internet -- necessary since the appellations are not on the wine list) and stood by and watched us researching wines via our phones. We got nothing ever without flagging him down. Shockingly bad service at such a great place.

The french onion soup I had for starters was awesome! I wish I could finish it but I had to leave room for my entree & I'm glad I did because the sea scallops were amazing! I loved the flavors it brought with the Spanish chorizo & the mushrooms. I was so elated with my meal experience! Will definitely be coming back & bring family & friends too!

My husband and I first came to Bleu Boheme for our first Valentine's Day when we were dating. Over the past 3.5 years, we have returned on several occasions and found it to be just as romantic on any given Saturday night. We absolutely love this restaurant. The food is phenomenal, and the service is great. The chef even occasionally comes out to greet his patrons, which is a rarity in the age of corporate-run restaurants. We love the quaint and romantic atmosphere and have found this to be one of our top picks for dining in San Diego. Having traveled Europe fairly extensively, we appreciate the broad selection of wines and have never been steered wrong by a recommendation. And did I mention how great the food is? :)

I've reviewed Bleu Boheme a couple of times. My second review was less positive, perhaps because we had eaten the "Prix fixe" menu - and had a very poor experience. However, this weekend we returned, and ate from the regular menu and - as has been the case on our previous visits, it was terrific. Hard to beat an enjoyable meal at Bleu Boheme, with a couple of glasses of wine; then walk over to the Ken to see a good movie :-))

WE have always loved this true French bistro....but this time...the onion soup was not hot...it was filled with bread instead of onions...the coq au vin tasted like it had been sitting in the pot for 3 days (the onions were mushy). I would like to hear from Ken as to what happened....or is happening????

We are frequent diners at the Bleu Boheme. However, this time we had to wait over 45 minutes for our main course to come out of the kitchen due to over booking. We complained to the management and they were very nice about it, and they resolved the issue to our satisfaction. We will definitely be back.

Had dinner here with friends during restaurant week for my husband's birthday and had such a wonderful time we shut the place down. Each item from the prix fixe menu was delicious and the service was attentive and pleasant. The creme brulee crepe dessert was an especially big hit with our table. We also tried the wine and cocktails specials they had for restaurant week and again, were not disappointed. The atmosphere was romantic and comfortable with stone walls and tall candles lit all over the restaurant.

Date night was a great success! Our server, Von, was fantastic! The atmosphere was romantic, and the food was wonderful. The pork ribeye was juicy, tender, flavorful, and better than the lamb my husband chose--which was also very good, but a little tough. Desserts were to die for. I will definitely be back.

Long time Family favorite! Between the four of us, we've had most of the menu, always returning to the onion soup, scallops, mussels, pork and filet, finishing off with gingerbread or chocolate cake and cappuccinos. It was our friends' first visit and they will be back. Servers are helpful with food and wine selections with wine pours to help your decision. Dining room gets noisy but you sit behind bar or outside for quieter dining.

There was a little glitch with our food order and the staff, including owner, waiter, server, went out of their way to make up for it, including bringing an interim avocado snack for our grand daughter and later, a special dessert for her. We felt truly spoiled from beginning to end and, as always, the food was delicious and artfully composed.

Everything was delicious and there were a lot of choices for the Restaurant Week Pris Fixe dinner. We are drinkers, and we wanted the entrees that were a little extra, so our bill was still a bit expensive. Overall, it was worth the price. Our waiter was very pleasant. As I am one of those people who always wants something not offered, I tend not to expect perfection, but my only real complaint here is the seating. My friend sat on the "booth side" and I sat in the chair, which I found to be uncomfortable - a chair pad may have helped. I would totally recommend this restaurant though, and I have been here several times.

We just returned from living on the border of France and were hoping for some delicious French good. The inside of the restaurant was charming but noisy so we sat outside where we preceded to watch no less than 30 cars do u-turns beside our table all night. Not sure what it is about that intersection but not quaint at all. The menu was not really French at all in the traditional sense which is what I was hoping for while dining. The escargots (my fav French all) were mixed with odd flavors like chorizo and overlooked. Just stay French traditional with lots of Garlic butter and herbs. The dessert, again not traditional, was a creme brûlée crepe-next time just do the creme brûlée. I will say the servers were attentive, quick and pleasant.

Since it's nearby, Bleu Boheme is always on our list of favorites. Lately we've been going more for brunch, but on a whim we decided to celebrate an anniversary dinner there. Nothing disappointed. The Steak Tartine was done perfectly (medium) and the pork chop was divine. The restaurant was about 1/3 full (on a Sunday night) and we had wonderful service from a friendly staff. Chef & owner Ken Irvine even stopped by our table to ask how the night had gone. This one will stay on our "must dine." List.

We were seated in a lovely little corner and it felt like a little nest. Two of the seats were pillow and padded benches. Lovely. It's a table made for three. We all ordered and shared tastes. Martinis and champagne cocktails are beyond delicious. Service is excellent and authenticity friendly. The chef visited our table. I like that. Dessert was mind blowing. Crème brûlée crepe and French flourless chocolate cake. We will come again.
