  • "This was our second time at this restaurant. We will not be returning. We went on a Saturday night and it was not that crowded where we should have waited over 45 minutes for our food to be served. The food quality was not the same as the first time. I ordered their crab cakes, which they are known for and was totally disappointed. I have had them in the past and they were excellent. Not this time around. They used to be all lump crabmeat AND NOW THEY ARE ALL FILLERS. Corn, peppers bread crumbs and shredded crabmeat. Definitely NOT WORTH THE MONEY."

  • "Visited Blend on a Saturday evening. Although they were very busy, service was fabulous! Lobster Mac and cheese appetizer was "okay". My husband had the halibut which was very good. I had the lobster tail which came out very undercooked. The server apologized and immediately brought it back to the chef. The chef not only perfectly sauteed the tail, he also added a huge scallop to my dish and sent his apology as well . I understand that things happen when a restaurant is very busy and they couldn't have handled my situation any better! The dessert menu was great and it was hard to decide. We shared the flourless chocolate cake which was delicious! Next time we will save room for the "ring ding for two"!"

  • "4 people for dinner. No entry was under $31. A lobster risotto was a special of the night @ $38. We were not told the price of any specials as they were described. The others were shrimp and pasta, shrimp and grits, and a salmon. 3 apps and 4 medium sized entrees @ $230 just seemed high."

  • "Blend has an awesome menu which adds a wonderful fine dining experience to the quaint town of Manasquan. Food was delicious, service was on point. Expect dinner to take a little longer since everything is prepared fresh. We weren't in any rush so we didn't have an issue. It's BYOB which has it's pluses and minuses. Overall, the night was wonderful. I will definitely be going back and highly recommended. Ahi Tuna Tacos- wow!"

  • "While 'Manasquan' doesn't roll off for the tongue like 'Stone Harbor', BLEND is a destination restaurant after a day at Spring Lake or Sea Girt (which have nothing this good). A Manhattan-quality restaurant. Though it doesn't have a liquor license, it occasions a nice walk down the cute, retro (and unaware of it) main street of the beach town to a wine store only a block away. Having eaten there three times, the menu of both small plates and sophisticated but not silly-pretentious entres is wide-ranging, well-prepared, and consistently based on superior ingredients. Staff enormously friendly. The crowd at times teeters towards the polo shirt Republic crowd but, heck, it's Jersey, where every town is a palimpsest of its past prejudices."

  • "We walked into a gorgeous open floor planned place, Sat immediately and then our waiter came over right then after to open our wine as we waited for the rest of our party. Once they arrived he came over and opened their champagne, gave us time to exchange pleasantries and then came back with specials. One of which was a chilled soup, my friend wasn't sure if she'd like it. He went into the kitchen to let her test it. The great service continued through the evening as did the fantastic food. The flavors, product and execution were perfect. I highly recommend for a date, special occasion or a night out with friends but don't forget your wallet, it's pricey but totally worth it."

The food was excellent - we had a sauteed zucchini flower stuffed with crab appetizer, a delicious 3 potato soup, and both grilled salmon and also mushroom ravioli entrees. We will return to further explore the menu!"

  • "I am not big on online complaining about restaurants but since they asked I will be honest. We saw our waitress maybe 3 times. Had to ask for our waters to be refilled. My husband said his steak with seasoned well but very under cooked. Luckily he wasn't very hungry so he figured when he takes it home and recooks it it will be Medium Rare. I had the Halibut and it was so dry. I couldn't eat it alone. I needed to eat each bite with a bit of mash potato just to be able to eat it. It came with half an artichoke heart and a tiny piece of eggplant. The eggplant did not go with the dish at all. And I love eggplant but it was a rough taste against the other items. I wouldn't spend the money to eat here again."

  • "Our third time at Blend on Main. Food, Service and Ambience are consistently great. My better half had the specials the seafood martini for starter and the suf and turf which was short ribs and shrimp. The short ribs was falling off the bone tender and the shrimp was prepared perfectly. I had oysters which were fresh and cold. Ahi tuna was prepared perfectly - rare as I asked and superb. It's a great restaurant and one of our favorites."

  • "Dined here with 3 friends. Only 4 people. The food was very good. However we will not return due to the noise level. We could barely hear ourselves think let alone carry on a conversation. The restaurant was busy and our waitress was on the slow side. We waited a little longer then we should have for her attention. If it was not for the noise level we would return."

WOW I'll probably order it next time The server was attentive and helpful but definitely had too many tables to maintain his attentiveness as the restaurant got busier. All in all a great dining experience and we are looking forward to returning shortly."

  • "I was very pleased with the gluten free crab cakes. I also was happy to notice that gluten free food was noted on the menu. We were there on a Sunday evening and we had very good service. The wait staff was very attentive. I would perhaps place a few more room dividers to lessen the "banquet feeling." I would definitely recommend this to others. The BYO also a plus! "

  • "Pleased with my lunch, I enjoyed some Tuckerton Bay clams (8), their own Blend salad and a very tasty crab cake. I found the food pretty good (I read that some said it was bland, but that's not what I experienced) and certainly very reasonably priced; I think it was $29 before tax and tip. Food seemed 3 1/2 to 4 stars. I think there is a lot of potential as they focus on fresh, local ingredients. Another plus for this BYOB Manasquan Bistro is a liquor store a few hundred feet up Main that offers some nice wines at under ten dollars. "

  • "Early reservation, service was overall good. Food was tasty, proportioned well. With veal/lobster dish meat, was a little dry and tough and I should of sent back. Our runner was brusque in dropping food on table and just leaving. Decor was a bit bland and not interesting. "

  • "Love the menu at Blend. Very creative and all the dishes were excellent. My friend had a steak that he thought was the best he'd ever had, I had a Shrimp and Grits dish that was excellent. My one comment is that the bowl my dish was served in was difficult to cut the shrimp an vegetables that come with the dish. It should be a much wider bowl. The salads were also very beautiful and delicious. "

Noise level so high that you can't have a conversation without screaming. Perhaps they can address that and make it a good restaurant. I hope they make it!"

Elegant dining, a menu to please everyone from the most particular foodie to someone just looking for a delicious meal. We will be back. my husband said ..."I feel like I am in heaven" as he was eating his bbq duck confit. The chef and his staff are really making a difference in the food scene.   • "The service was lacking at best. We waited 45 minutes between our appetizer and soup. They never brought any bread to the table and they filled our water glass once after the initial pour. My wife's entree came out incorrect as she asked for no mushrooms and the server said "I brought you the wrong dish, your's is in the kitchen." The waitress who took our order was very indifferent and never really checked on us at all. not a great value for the price they are charging. They won't last unless they get their act together."

They have dishes that sound good but just don't deliver. The mushroom appetizer was so dry. The risotto had no flavor and was over cooked. I wanted to like this place but just didnt. "

  • "We were seated at the 1st table by the front door, not an optimum place to be. My first reaction to the restaurant was that it was absolutely ‘freezing’ inside and I spent most of our time there thinking about how cold I was (and I had bought a sweater with me!). The appetizers (Asian calamari and the mozzarella and tomato) were delicious. My dinner (crab cake) was very good but the side of cole slaw is not worth mentioning. My husband had the zuppa de clams, which he thought was “good” but has had better versions of this in other restaurants. For dessert we had the ‘ring ding’ for 2 and it was delicious and decadent. Our server was not very attentive and it seemed like we were an after-thought to his other tables. "

  • "The decor and menu are so promising. The food is described beautifully and there are many enticing options. However only the appetizer, a prosciutto and fig flatbread lived up to expectations. The salads were also decent. But my entree, a halibut dish was horribly under seasoned and the fish was a mushy texture. I tasted the other two entrees at the table, the ahi tuna and the scallops and they also desparately needed seasoning. Moreover the service was a bit off. So overall a disappointing experience. "

  • "Blend is a BYOB restaurant which is a big plus for people who like their wine with their meals.we went for lunch on a Friday afternoon, Peter, the waiter was friendly and very attentive. the menu was sandwiches, salads and entrees all of which sounded delicious. We started with the calamari appetizer which was served in such a fun way( we don't want to spoil your surprise). We had the crab cake entree and black pasta with clams, both ample portions and were cooked perfectly. The place has been redone since it's previous owners left and the. Odor scheme is quite calming and comfortable."
