  • "Beautiful setting, great suchi selection and the wine list was impressive."

  • "we originally had reservations, but ended up taking the food to go. Didnt understand why we got charged a service charge (gratuity 20% on a takeout order) and the lady who took our order barely spoke english, therefore my order didnt turn out as I had requested. I thoroughly enjoyed the crunchy tuna roll, though!"

  • "Combined space with the Italian restaurant La Vida, great sushi and cocktail."

  • "This is simply a place to go if you're already on site at Fontaine Bleau and develop an itch for sushi. We made reservations for Sunday at 7pm, only to arrive to a literally empty restaurant. $9 for miso soup is a joke. On the positive side: - The specialty rolls (Chateau and Blade Roll) were both good. The "crispy" part of the chateau roll was missing, and so we solved that by stealing overflow tempura flakes from the blade roll. Worked out awesome. - Bluefin tuna was on the menu - Good saki selection - People watching, you can watch all the bikini clad people coming and going outside the window (casual environment) - Tightly rolled napkin expanding with hot water was a nice presentation touch - Waitress was great"

  • "overall, the sushi was pretty good 7/10, the selection of rolls was limited, the ambiance was pretty good, not quiet, but a hip and romantic place for miami beach vibe. drinks were good, service was 8/10"

  • "The sushi was very good but it took a while for it to come... too long in my view. Service was also good but not exceptional. Prices were high but it's Miami and it's hot spot so you shouldn't visit if you aren't up for that."

  • "Some of the worst service I have ever had. I will surely note on trip advisor. Will not recomend."

  • "Great sushi went there twice on this trip the service is some of the best I had on south beach"

  • "Selection of fine Sushi was good; Some original items you rarely find. Sushi was fresh and quality was excellent. If you like Bond Street, you should like this one, too. Best Sushi in Sobe to me is Tony's and Bond Street. Still, Blade was a good experience on this weekend With a fun crowd at the FB."

  • "We were expecting better! I have dined at every restaurant in the Fountainbleau Hotel and this one was a big disappoinment. I felt like I was in a high end cafeteria, the waiter took more then 15 minutes just to come greet us. The menu did not have much to choose from either. The food was ok but for the price, I thought I'd get more rolls!"

  • "Food was above average. The service was excellent but not well trained for the type of restaurant. The music was not appropriate for the type of restaurant."

  • "The sushi at Blade was very good and the overall experience was wonderful. The atmosphere was relaxing and fun at the same time. What stood out most was the exceptional service (something that is rare in Miami Beach). Just keep in mind that gratuity is included (even though we were a table of 3). Our server made sure to tell us twice that gratuity was included. I would definitely recommend Blade and dine there again."

  • "6 adults. We had the Bleau, Chateau, and Geisha specialty roles. While they were better than average, just not amazing. The Kobe beef tatami and octopus and other appetizers were good, just a little insufficient. All-in-all, an above average but not overwhelming experience. Sushi menu should be expanded and more creative. The atmosphere was pleasant and fun, and the service was very good."

  • "This is a Nanchatte Japanese Restaurant. I was totally suprised to see the tempra sauce was in a bowl for miso soup."

  • "The food was good, but for those prices, I expect better than good."

  • "I have traveled extensively all over the world. I pride myself on being objective when it comes to local cuisine. This was by far the most over priced menu that served portions that were microscopic. This was definitely one of the worst overall dining experiences of my life. It was also one of the most expensive. We left hungry and thoroughly disappointed."

  • "Sushi rolls were good and some were quite unique, but four rolls and two beers was over $100.00. I guess that is about $50.00 for the ambience."

  • "Blade is a great Sushi spot located with a view of the Fontainebleau pool. Like everywhere at the Fontainebleau, the service is absolutely impeccable. The sushi is fresh, unique, and delicious. Personally, I found the Blade roll to be good--but I would not recommend it. While unusual, it was not my favorite flavor pairings. I would absolutely go back to Blade should I return to Miami Beach."

  • "always nice to go to blade except this time I had hairs in my spyci tuna . I guess it was an accident"
    Dined on 4/4/2012
  • "Very LOUD (so much you couldn't hear the waitress), but Music Miami was going on and the Fontainebleau was filled with 20-somethings, so it is understandable."
    Dined on 3/24/2012
  • "Service was absolutely horrible. Food was great but the wait staff was terrible"
    Dined on 3/8/2012
  • "We have been to Nobu which is of course very pricey like Blade. If Blade is trying to compete with Nobu, Blade is in the wrong kitchen. Food was waaay too pricey for what we ordered. Not worth it. I'm not saying the sushi was bad but at almost $120 per person it didn't even come close to exceptional. Marimoto in Boca is better too."
    Dined on 2/17/2012
  • "Sushi menu was sparse and the rolls were rather tiny. This destination is more about being with the hip crowd and people watching than good food."
    Dined on 2/10/2012
  • "Had a wonderful server, Emma... She is a real gem to have in their restaurant. Food was exceptional! Will definitely return soon Sushi was so fresh--best we've ever had Thank goodness Emma recommended the Dragon roll...INCREDIBLE!!! filled with shrimp, cucumbers and asparagus. We also were able to order from the Vida menu and decided on the Lemon Chipotle Duck and Honey Glazed Salmon. (Both wonderful) Can't wait to return"

  • "Very cool looking menus that light-up! Restauarant is a bit dark. And, although the sushi was fresh...the menu was quite limited. We expected more elaborate rolls. The prices are very high considering the size of the portions. The specialty rolls consisted of 6 small pcs. Vs the typical 8 large pcs found in other "top" sushi restaurants."

  • "Service & food delivery were quick without making you feel rushed. The entire staff was pleasant and efficient."

  • "Very good food. All staff were very polite and friendly. The hotel is fantastic. Tks"

  • "I thought the sushi quality was excellent and the service very good. My appetizer was a just ok seaweed salad, my date had a good but slightly oily vegetable tempura. WeI ordered a sushi combination and rolls which were very fresh as expected in Miami. They also provided dessert on the house for my birthday, excellent key lime pie. I expected to be wowed because I was at the Fountainbleau instead I had a good sushi dinner. The hotel has several bars and restaurants and is a hot place to be in Miami Beach. If you've never been to the Fountainbleau you should check it out, and if while you're there you want sushi eat at Blade. I won't go to there just to eat at Blade."

  • "Blade is profusely over-priced for the amount and quality of food."
    Dined on 11/15/2011
  • "Blade was over priced for the experience. The food was rather ordinary."
    Dined on 10/29/2011
  • "I liked the kid friendly atmosphere and smart casual dress code of Blade. However, the size of the scallop rolls was quite small and rather bland in taste. Shrimp tempura, which unlike many restaurants was not combined with unwanted vegetables, and lobster rolls were good. Found Blade overpriced for the quality and size of the rolls, as we had to order more than expected to suppliment what would have ordinarily sufficed. On a last note, service was rather slow and the waiter "did not get" my child's order when initially placed, so she was left waiting for her meal."
    Dined on 10/29/2011
  • "Captive Audience is its only strength, baked in gratuity clearly affects the service. One quote to a friend who ate at a different time was "sorry for the slow service, here is your bill, gratuity is included. Have a nice day.""

  • "I ate there last Saturday night when looking for a good sushi place near my hotel. If you're looking for a place to meet self proclaimed pickup artists I would highly recommend this restaurant. If you are looking for quality fish (at $12 tuna roll prices) I would recommend that you go to ANY other restaurant."
    Dined on 9/16/2011
  • "Good sushi, great service. I would say the sushi has some interesting flavors and mix of ingredients, but as most sushi I have tried in the USA, the rice is not as sweet tasting, or doesn't stick together too well. If you try to the Bleau roll, take the onion off and it will taste much better. Do recommend the Tuna tataki. Overall I think the price is not worth the quality of the food, but it is a good option if you're staying at the Fontainebleau hotel."

  • "menus light up - great for the low lighting. the sushi was ok, nothing memorable."
    Dined on 9/4/2011
  • "Fresh ingredients and a unique approach to sushi. I enjoyed the flavors and especially the cucumber rapped sushi as an alternative to rice. This was well worth the higher price and it compares well with other high class sushi restaurants in price. However, it has far more unique menu options and the location can't be beat (duh, its the Fontainebleau). Great service and an energetic staff made the night very enjoyable."
