"This was our first time dining at Blackwells. We heard it was nice but on the pricey side so we waited for a special occasion....our 26th Wedding Anniversary! We were not disappointed! We made reservations for 7:00, arrived early and was seated right away. The table was comfortable, not crowded, and romantic. Our waitress was knowledgeable, friendly, neat and efficient. We ordered the NY Strip and the Porterhouse for one and both were very good and cooked as we requested. We will definitely be going back to Blackwells in the future!"

"Went to Blackwell's for Restaurant Week Prix Fixe. Selections were rather limited. Lobster Ravioli was good and would have been great had not the pasta been undercooked. Calamari Fritti was good. Salmon catch of the day was pretty good. Steak Frites was just ok. Steak flavor was a little off. Fries were good. Cheesecake and Chocolate Tort were good but nothing special - about what you would find at Sam's Club or Costco. Restaurants participating in Restaurant Week should be trying to showcase the restaurant. The five other restaurants I visited during Restaurant Week all did a superior job."

"We always enjoy dining at Blackwells. Our only disappointment was not being able to dine in the room overlooking the golf course. We were advised that since it was dark, we wouldn't see the course. We particularly love the ambience in that room and were surprised by our treatment in that regard. That aside, the dining experience was, and always is, superb."

"Consistently the best restaurant on the island. Service is attentive, food was amazin--I had the Lobster Newburg and my wife had the chicken, both cooked to perfection. We leave there everytime saying it was better than the last."
