The food was good, they have a variety of options on the menu. The drink menu was above average with a wide assortment of vodkas and wine. The dishes are imaginative and well prepared, the service is cheerful and prompt, and the ambience is fine, if a bit noisy when the dining room is full. Lunches especially are a cut above the competition, especially for the interesting sandwiches with duck confit and bison meatloaf. My wife and I agree that it's one of the Ballantyne area's best lunch possibilities. Per our request, we were given a quiet table in the corner away from the hustle and bustle. Our servers were very attentive and our food was fantastic. The pear and pecan salad was delicious and the shrimp and grits . . YUMMY! I had a margarita and chicken sandwich (both absolutely delicious, bartender didn't skimp out on the tequila either). They have a seasonal menu that has enough new and cutting edge choices for foodies, but enough down-to-earth for those who like basics. They have a great seafood selection, great beef, and a few chicken options. I think perhaps one or two more chicken dishes might be in order. The atmosphere is nice, but can get a bit loud near the bar area, but the back dining area is very quaint and warm. The service is excellent, and the staff is always very knowledgeable about the specials and the menu items. A manager will always come by during your visit and ask how things are. The food was cooked to perfection. I was surprised that it was not more busy - a hidden gem people are not completly aware of yet ! One the roof top opens I am sure they'll be filled to capacity.
