"first time there and we WILL be back. I had the Colorado lamb shank...the best I've ever had, and my husband liked the shrimp and crab pasta very much. the waitress, rebecca, was very good...pleasant and professional, and knew her stuff! Nice experience."

"This is our second visit to Blackthorne. This time we took 2 friends, who are like us... foodies.
The food was perfect. Cannot find anything wrong with the food or the service.
What does bother me is that there is absolutely NO AMBIENCE. I do not get a feeling of being in a restaurant.
I feel like we are just sitting is a room that could be anywhere.. We might have been in an office conference room.
The wall between the"diningroom" and the bar really isolates you. During the day, you can get a good view of
the parking lot. We will be back, but with lower expectations for a "great" dining experience, which I believe is more
than the food."

"The menu is interesting, though somewhat limited, and the food is well presented. Servers seem knowledgeable about the offerings and polite. The noise level comes close to an arena. Each time I have been there (both times mid week at 7PM), groups of 8 or more have been seated in the open dining area and, apparently, diners no longer seem to care how loudly they shout to each other. As with most newer restaurants, open ceilings and no sound baffling increase the decibel level to unenjoyable."

"We had a lovely dinner at Blackthorne. We tried the calamari and short ribs wraps appetizers which were both very yummy. We sampled pasta, steak, salad, & shrimp and grits for entrees and no one was disappointed. The cornbread was a pleasant surprise but I wish the butter they served with it was not so hard. Overall a great meal. We'll go back when the upstairs deck opens and enjoy dining al fresco in the summer."
