  • "We travelled to Norwalk to visit a family member and wanted to go out to a nice dinner to celebrate our anniversary. Decided on steak and found this great place. The food was amazing and the service was impeccable. This restaurant has a romantic and comfortable atmosphere and although the prices are a bit steep, you pay for what you get. I had the filet mingeon and a Caesar salad and it was the best steak and salad I have ever had. Cooked to perfection and crisp on the outside while the salad was fresh and crisp. Wine list was also extensive. My boyfriend had the salmon and it was also cooked to perfection. Very tender. As for dessert -- get the creme brûlée. Best I've ever had, and I'm a foodie."

  • "My husband had been some years ago but this was my first time. I'm always a little nervous about the pricer dining experience, frankly I'm waiting to be disappointed. There was no disappointment to be had in the evening we dined at Blackstone's. Having only passed by, and never been inside I was surprised by the atmosphere that was created beyond the door. Blackstones subscribes to the dark, classic old steakhouse look, which I really dig. The food was delicious. My steak was perfectly cooked perfectly seasoned it was a real treat to eat. We had cream spinach mushrooms mashed potatoes and broccoli Rob besides all of which were also delicious. The evening was expensive but well worth it. Grade A service too."

  • "Looking for great steak and lovely atmosphere? Blackstone in Norwalk is defininetly the place. Food was excellent. Only complaint - the gentleman who was either the owner or manager stopped at many tables, said hello and asked about the food. Even though the place was not full, he did not come over to our table. It would have been a nice touch! In the restaurant business, all or nothing in terms of being at the tables to greet folks or not. Otherwise, great evening."

  • "I read good reviews about this place but after going once, I will not be back. The ambiance was ok but the tables are close so the noise level does get high. It also becomes a hindrance when you want to go to the bathroom, especially when the waiters are around a table and lock you in. My steak was not cooked properly and I was not told it would come pre-sliced, meaning all the great juices from the meat were gone when it arrived. One of our appetizers were not cleaned properly and plates were taken away before we were finished. Service was not very good all around. Overall, especially for the price, I will not be back."

Only downside to this place are the prices, you will end up paying top dollar for everything on the menu and the side dishes are a la cart. For 3 people if you include a drink a piece your bill will easily surpass $250 even without tip so make sure you are prepared to shell out the cash!"

There was one guy kind of doing everything. He forgot my customers appetizer order and my other client said the NY Strip was just ok. I am glad I have a good relationship with my clients or this could have been a disaster. Find someplace else to go!!"

  • "This used to be a favorite stop. We have not been there for awhile and we were somewhat disappointed. My NY Strip was no where near top end steak house tenderness and quality. We also had a filet mignon that was dry (although cooked medium rare) and leads me to our waiter who did not offer any side sauces with the filet although we saw them on other tables. The waiter had NO personality until the very end when it was time to fill the tip in on the check. Service and attentiveness was sub par. We will probably not return as there are just too many high end steak houses in the area that we have either tried and are better or plan to try which can't be much worse than this experience."

  • "Our son was home from college, he wanted steak so we gave this place a try. The beef at our table (3 versions) was excellent quality but very expensive. No hollandaise was provided for the filet. My tenderloin medallions was very good but there wasn't much of it. The crab cakes were decent, not great. The service was rather slow. Overall, a good experience but not likely to go there again soon."
