Diner Reviews
  • "Have been here multiple times and never disappoints. The Blacstone salad, tuna tartare are great. My filet was exceptional and a very large portion. Great wine list also."

  • "outstanding restaurant, great aged steaks and a very nice well priced wine list, service was a little slow, but the restaurant was very busy, we where not rushed and where seated upon arrival, wait staff was very attentive and the wait for the food was acceptable, the overall cost for our party of 4 was over $100.00 per person and that did not include the tip, overall we will be going back very soon, I highly recommend this for a person who lovers great steak and chops"

  • "Visited on a Monday night for a business dinner. Admittedly a quiet night for dining it was quiet and very conducive to have a business discussion. Food was very good as was the service. Certainly met expectations and we will return."

  • "Blackstones offers very good steak and is very consistent. Look past the down-market locale and slightly "off" decor and focus on the excellent steak, very reasonable quality wine list and good service."

  • "I read good reviews about this place but after going once, I will not be back. The ambiance was ok but the tables are close so the noise level does get high. It also becomes a hindrance when you want to go to the bathroom, especially when the waiters are around a table and lock you in. My steak was not cooked properly and I was not told it would come pre-sliced, meaning all the great juices from the meat were gone when it arrived. One of our appetizers were not cleaned properly and plates were taken away before we were finished. Service was not very good all around. Overall, especially for the price, I will not be back."

  • "The food was absolutely fabulos. Steak cuts like butter. Great flavor. The Blackstone chicken was absolutely delicious. Everything was delicious. What a great first visit & experience. KUDOS TO THE CHEF!"

  • "Best Steakhouse in Fairfield County - in unexpected location. Stop looking for a great restaurant and just make your reservation NOW. DELICIOUS well aged beef and other choices with appropriate and generous sides and starters. Superbly attentive service. We eat here regularly."

  • "Reservation wasn't honored. Had to ask for heat to be turned down. Service was spotty. Took an hour to get our entrees. Filet mignon was tasteless and not cooked to order"

  • "We like the place a lot although expensive for us. The service is great and food is excellent but on new years 2014 there were some shortcomings on a busy night."

  • "As always, our experience at Blackstone Steakhouse was amazing! We were there on New Year's Eve. The food was incredible and the serivce was still outstanding given the packed house that they had."

  • "overall great food and quiet atmosphere, we did however go on a sunday night a couple hours before closing so there were only a couple tables taken. Only downside to this place are the prices, you will end up paying top dollar for everything on the menu and the side dishes are a la cart. For 3 people if you include a drink a piece your bill will easily surpass $250 even without tip so make sure you are prepared to shell out the cash!"

  • "The food alone is worth the visit, but the service is what makes the place shine. Just the right amount of visits to the table, and they quickly figured out what our group wanted and offered all the right suggestions. We've been several times and it never disappoints."

  • "Ranks with the best of the really good New York steakhouses---they really have it nailed."

  • "I took clients to a Holiday lunch on Thursday afternoon. I arrived with my colleague prior to my guests arriving and there is no matre'd to welcome you. There was one guy kind of doing everything. He forgot my customers appetizer order and my other client said the NY Strip was just ok. I am glad I have a good relationship with my clients or this could have been a disaster. Find someplace else to go!!"

  • "This used to be a favorite stop. We have not been there for awhile and we were somewhat disappointed. My NY Strip was no where near top end steak house tenderness and quality. We also had a filet mignon that was dry (although cooked medium rare) and leads me to our waiter who did not offer any side sauces with the filet although we saw them on other tables. The waiter had NO personality until the very end when it was time to fill the tip in on the check. Service and attentiveness was sub par. We will probably not return as there are just too many high end steak houses in the area that we have either tried and are better or plan to try which can't be much worse than this experience."

  • "Our son was home from college, he wanted steak so we gave this place a try. The beef at our table (3 versions) was excellent quality but very expensive. No hollandaise was provided for the filet. My tenderloin medallions was very good but there wasn't much of it. The crab cakes were decent, not great. The service was rather slow. Overall, a good experience but not likely to go there again soon."

  • "The service was slow and the food was too oily and the prices were very, very high."

  • "Despite being located in a strip mall this restaurant is as good as you'll find anywhere. The steaks are as good as you'd expect from a steakhouse but everything else is top notch as well. The lamp chops and diver sea scallops we're perfect and the sole which was prepared table side was excellent. Service was attentive and friendly. We'll be back to this neighborhood gem."

  • "Have been coming here for years and it's always consistently fantastic."

  • "Excellent. The best steak in CT and on par with the best in NYC"

  • "I was searching (online) for a decent steakhouse in Norwalk. I was visiting the area and had no idea what was available. I booked the reservation online and was pleasantly surprised once I arrived. The waiters were friendly and attentive without being overbearing. The food was a bit pricey but one serving of each item (salad, steak, sides, etc.) would be more than enough to feed two hungry people and everything was excellent. There is a difference between "price" and "value"......I believe you will get the value for your money here. This would be a great place to take a 'special someone' out for a romantic dinner."

  • "This was our first experience at Blackstones in Norwalk and the meal was at the top! Our Server was excellent however a little too much on the talkative side however it made no impact on our experience. My husband had filet mignon, I had surf and turf, and dessert. All were excellent and prepared to perfection. One caveat however, although the food & service was excellent we found the pricing to be a bit on the high side for this area and its competition of equally excellent restaurants. We would go again however not on a regular basis but more on special occasion because of the cost."

  • "Outstanding steak and service. Surf and turf was perfect with enormous filet and broiled lobster tail, wow! Excellent atmosphere for business meeting. Not the kind of place to bring wife and kids and that's a big part of what makes it special. Think Scotch, steak, business and they're the best around!"

  • "We had been looking for a new steak house to try and though a bit of ride for us (45 mins) but the reviews and the pictures of the interior of the restaurant said "let's try" --- well --- you will not be disappointed! First of all you have to go on Saturday and ask for Mike (that's his "fake" name - he will tell you the story) as he only works Saturdays and the rest as they say is history. Streaks were all perfectly cooked, the presentation they do on the NY Strip is amazing -- they had a scallop and brusell sprout app that was to die for. Cant say enough -- we will def be back"

  • "Pricey but well worth it. Porterhouse for 2 was as good as it gets as were sauteed spinach and home fries."
    Dined on 9/16/2013
  • "Don't be fooled - this is a great place for a Filet even though it looks like nothing in a strip mall setting - be warned though, the fries are actually sliced potatoes 'chip' style."

  • "I have been to Blackstones many times and it never fails to impress me. Their steaks are perfect, seafood fresh and always excellent and above all their service is always outstanding. Aldo the owner is a great host"
