  • "We went for my wife's birthday. This was our second time at the restaurant. The food was very good and steaks were cooked as requested. There was a bit of time between courses so you need to allow at least 2 hours. The staff was friendly and attentive. We will definitely come back."

  • "We hadn't been to Blackstones in many weeks, so we decided to pay them a visit this past Saturday evening. By 7:30 p.m., the restaurant had filled up nicely. We're happy to see that the word about this place has finally gotten out. My wife's dover sole was very good, my New York strip, outstanding, as usual. The staff were concerned about our extended absence-we had been away on a vacation, and they were extra attentive. We are so delighted to have a steak house of this quality so nearby."

  • "The place is a little outdated and dank, tile floors throughout, and a prominent mirrored bar, but the steak was excellent. It is expensive, and the service was very slow as they only had two people taking orders, bussing and tending bar! Overall though, when we got over the waiting for food and drinks, the food was great and the servers were trying their best. I'd go again for the steak, that part was excellent."

  • "What a great addition to my go to places. I've been driving to the city anytime I craved a good steak. This was my second time at Blackstones and it was absolutely outstanding! The fresh blue point oysters are to die for, shrimp was a great way to open up my way for one of the better porter house stakes I've had in a very long time. This place surprised me how good it is! The wine list is outstanding with some brilliant options including my favorite stags leap Cabernet! The complementary desert for my wife's birthday was a great touch! Will be back with everyone we know."

  • "Working in NYC for many years I became spoiled by the availability of the classic NY steakhouse. A place to meet friends for a delicious glass of wine or martini after work. After unwinding we were always guaranteed a delicious meal. Blackstones is exactly that restaurant right In our back yard. The ambience is rich and soothing with classic wood decor. The service is friendly and accommodating. The best part of course is the food! They offer amazing specials. The classic seafood tower and impeccably cooked porterhouse is my personal favorite. A great choice for spending quality time with family and friends while being served quality food! Last but not least the host is just lovely and always accommodating."

  • "We are Blackstones regulars. We dined on a rainy Friday evening, and I wish the place would have been busier. They deserve the business. The Porterhouse for two was excellent-perfectly cooked to order-and melt in your mouth tender. They deliver this quality consistently-BTW, the best steak joints in Manhattan have a hard time keeping to this standard of performance. And they are pricier, much pricier. We ordered a nice Cabernet, they decanted it carefully, and the glasses were always full. I am telling you-this crew is first class. We'll be back, again and again. "

  • "Our party of 4 enjoyed a wonderful dinner Saturday night.. We were seated in the back room with its dark paneling....an intimate vibe in the room. Service was excellent...attentive but not overbearing....they allowed us to linger which was wonderful since we hadn't seen our friends in a long time......never felt rushed! Food was delicious.......two got the rib eye prepared Cajun style.....one got filet mignon....And one got steak and surf special.......all entrees were winners......definitely would recommend this .   • "I was really pleased to see the restaurant full of patrons. It's about time. Blackstones has been reliably producing first class steakhouse dining experiences since it opened in Mt. Kisco, and we are dedicated regular customers. The Porterhouse for two was perfectly cooked, and melted in my mouth before I could chew it. The creamed spinach had a delightful hint of nutmeg-wonderful. The wine list is short, but well suited for the menu. We'll be back again and again. And the staff, well, they make you feel like you are part of the family."

  • "Many don't remember this location was formerly Fish Cellar on Main Street in Mount Kisco and again another great meal. Service and food was very, good again. After few delicious appetizers me and my friend got the porterhouse good as any top steakhouses in NYC. My wife and her friend enjoyed their fish too. We didn't want any desserts but the owner insist to send us a dessert platter. Thank you again. We will be back!!! "

  • "Not only was our meal absolutely delicious (the clam appetizer was beyond amazing), but our group of 4 had 2 who were observing Passover. What a wonderful and considerate touch to have provided matzah on the table (without even having to ask). Touches like that do not go unnoticed and we were very appreciative. Our steaks were cooked to perfection, the sides were great and the dessert we shared was perfect. Service was perfect as well - food was served politely, unobtrusively and timely. Then, when we thought our meal couldn't have gotten any better, the manager sent a round of after dinner drinks to our table! A fabulous night - we will be back for sure!"

The side dishes were delicious. I ordered the New York strip and my husband ordered the ribeye and we like it charred on the outside and juice on the inside medium for me and medium rare for my husband. Done as requested and delicious. A true neighborhood gem and I will tell all our friends not to miss it. "

  • "A friend ordered their signature chicken dish - they should be ashamed. I could see instantly from across the table it was too dark and the sauce was burnt. After trying it, she sent it back and asked for the salmon. Which they tend to cook very well done - I like it that way. Our friend does not. She asked them to cook it but not overcook it and they brought it out to her completely uncooked twice. The steak and chop were great (if a little small). The friend who ordered the chop ordered it only after being told they were out of his first 3 choices and my favorite desert! At the end of 2 weeks of restaurant week they were clearly not at their best."

The restaurant week menu had plenty of choices and was a good value ($29.95 for a 3 course meal). Ordering from the regular menu would be a lot more expensive as side vegetables were each $6-8 additional plus any appetizers. Our meal from the regular menu would have cost around $50."

  • "We were pleasantly surprised by the choices for restaurant week dining. Since it is a steakhouse, we all had the filet mignon, which was delicious. My only complaint was that 2 of us ordered our steaks medium rare and the other 2 ordered rare, towards medium. The medium rare steaks were more rare than the others. When I questioned our waiter about whether they were correctly placed he confirmed they were, but clearly they were not. Otherwise, the sides (mashed potatoes and creamed spinach served family-style) were perfect, and the appetisers were generous for restaurant week. We all had different ones and were pleased; caesar salad, fried calamari, french onion soup and baked clams all delicious. The ambiance in the restaurant is fine."

  • "My husband and my friends husband ordered the same cut of steak, one was ordered medium well the other medium rare. Both would have accepted medium. When the server came to the table he asked how they ordered their steaks and proceed to mix up the order, after my friends husbands had taken a few bites of his (which was medium) my husband cut into his ~ Totally well done - BROWN on the inside, the waiters solution, just switch the plates! It didn't matter that the steak he was now putting in front of my husband had been eaten out of! Sorry this is just not acceptable."

  • "You have to go down a metal staircase to get to this restaurant. The surrounding area was sightly flooded from recent rains & poor drainage so that detracted from the ambiance immediately even before entering. (I suppose that also makes it non-handicapped accessible.) The service was quite good. We all ordered the filet mignon. Though the inside was exactly as ordered, the outside crust was way too charred & some had to be cut away before eating. As a steakhouse they should be able to get this right."

  • "As first timers we stuck to the prefix menu. The steak was excellent, our table of 6 asked for rare to well done and every one was cooked to perfection. We had creamed spinach and mashed potatoes which were both good, For dessert we had either cheese cake or chocolate mousse cake. The desserts were average. The staff was friendly and professional. The owner thought we waited too long for our order to be taken and gave a drink on the house. Honestly given the place was packed and it being a Saturday night I thought the service was great."

  • "We went there during the Hudson Restaurant Week. We ordered from the fixed price menu and added a side veggie dish from main menu. The service was very good and they were very nice to all 3 of us. The food was good, from appertizer to main entre to dessert. We all had petit filet mignon which was cooked to our choices. I ordered a glass of house wine and it was pretty good too. Overall, it was a worthwhile meal and I'd go back for a special event. The price on the main menu is a bit on the high side, similar to Manhattan level."

My date had the Branzino, and I had the Bone in Rib eye, which was done to perfection. Wine list was well rounded, we chose the Blackstone Cabernet. Will definitely be going again."
