  • "Blackstone was very good. We found out about it from Groupon and went here for my fiances birthday. The service was great. I mentioned I was a little cold to my fiance and looked up at the fan and the waiter, Sammy, noticed and came over to ask if we were cold and turned the air up so we would be comfortable. The food was excellent. We are both looking forward to returning to Blackstone!"

  • "Ramon took very good care of us last Saturday night. He was very apologetic and took the blame for the slow pace of the food coming from the kitchen. He provided sparkling water and wine on the house as an apology. To be honest, we actually preferred the slower pace and told him as much. The appetizers, salads, steaks and desserts were delicious but some of the sides could use a bit of work. The creamed spinach was more milky than creamy and tasted bland. The mac and cheese was great. In all we enjoyed ourselves very much and plan to return."

  • "...esp for the $$$$. Appetizer (tomato, onion and gorgonzola, steakhouse style) was just OK. Onion was flavorless. Bermuda onion (vs white onion) would have been better with the very fresh, flavorful tomatoes. Steak was done to perfection, which compensated. Dining companion ordered the Chicken Laphroiag. Great in concept, poor execution. Chicken was overcooked, and dish was drowned in (an albeit yummy) sauce. Artichoke, prosciutto and mozzarella made up for the poor chicken and abundance of sauce. Broccoli rabe was excellent. Service was deferential (after first being a little rushed to consider the menu, the server got the hint and left us alone). Wine was reasonably priced. Still searching for a great steakhouse in Greenwich!"

  • "Arrived on a Thursday night with a reservation. At 6:30pm only a few tables are filled. Service was good but the waiter was overly attentive and hovering around too much. We politely asked him we'll get his attention when we needed service yet he would continue to hoover around. This was very odd behavior, not good. Food was good not great. The iceberg lettuce was yellow and appeared old though there was a big portion. Very little gorgonzola on top and blue cheese was watery. Two bone-in rib eyes were ordered medium rare and both had to be sent back because they were over cooked to the point of being well done. We were quickly given new steaks and both were still not medium rare but we had them anyhow. Probably won't go back!"

  • "We were at Blackstone Steakhouse to celebrate my husband's birthday. The restaurant is beautiful. We were supposed to be 5 but had a last-minute cancellation.The staff was nice about converting the table to 4. But beyond that, service was atrocious. To start, I asked my husband to order his drink (a martini) before me. Before I could give my order, the waiter turned around and left. He brought two martinis. Very strange! This service continued: waiter brought wrong bottle of wine, undercooked meat, cappuccino instead of coffee, etc. It became laughable and I'm not even sure the waiter knew how bad it was, since he never checked on us. We will not be returning."

The medium rare steak was a bit overlooked.the medium well done filet was undercookedvandvthevamb chops were overlooked. This is not what a first class steak house should be doing at first class high prices. Top dollar requires that the establishment provide top dollar food. It just did not happen. FAIR"

  • "We had the Dover sole special and it was excellent. The wine list is very good but there are not enough choices of cheaper but excellent wines. We were disappointed with the French Fries side. These were very like frozen commercially made steak fries and not the true french style pommes frit we expected. This is a class place and the fires were out of place."

  • "This is a great new addition to the Grrenwich dining scene. Great food, quiet sleek interior, super helpful service... You want Brussels sprouts... Let me see if we have some in the kitchen! Voila brussel sprouts! For sure going back. Great steak. Lovely Dover sole well prepared and interesting sides and salads !! Service could not have been better !! My husband, my grown foodie son and I all loved it."

  • "Restaurant has a busy, buzzing atmosphere. Very animated. Saw groups, couples and families with children. Classic steak house offerings plus additional items like tuna tartare appetizer ( pretty good), salads and fish entrees for the vegetarians. Neighboring table got the iceberg lettuce salad with bacon. It was huge. We ordered the fillet mignon and steak. The Filet Mignon was almost 4 inches thick. The rib steak was without question the most flavorful ribeye I have ever had. All sides like vegetables and potatoes are an additional charge. The restaurant is very noisy acoustically, so for those that have difficulty hearing in loud restaurants, this could be a problem."

  • "Great decor, but way too noisy. Food just OK, but was shocked at the french fries, which appeared to be the same prefab ones you would get in the frozen foods section at the supermarket. Nobody got their steak at the temperature they ordered it, which the waiter quickly acknowledged, and a free glass of wine was sent out to everyone to make up for it. Not that anyone actually wanted a glass of wine, But it seemed like this was their automatic response to not being able to cook the steaks the way you order them. The food would be passable, if it were half the price."

Set aside the constant flickering of cheep lightbulbs..the quality of light is cold, grey and totally ruins the ambiance of the otherwise well designed resto. Do yourselves a big favor Blackstones and invest in good interior bulbs and throw out the ones meant for a garage!"

  • "New addition to the Greenwich Restaurant scene. Typical steakhouse menu with the expected high price points. Good atmosphere, more modern/casual, black and white rather than wood paneling, than the traditional Morton's, Ruth Chris restaurants and hence more families/couples than a male oriented scene. More American than Gabrielle's which has more Italian flavor/items. VG service. Competition is good for us but can the market support two similar offerings. Time will tell."

  • "I went to dinner with my family to celebrate my birthday. The staff was friendly, helpful, and attentive. The food was excellent, if a bit pricey. We went to the restaurant early, around 6:15, and it quickly became busy. We had a great time and I would recommend this restaurant for large groups or for special occasions."

  • "This new entrant in the crowded Greenwich market offers one oft the few venues with spacious seating where conversation is possible in normal voice. The ambiance neat, clean steakhouse with an attractive bar. The food is good and occasionally very good but a recent veal chop was mediocre. All that said, the pricing will cast the future of the place in doubt. Our bill for two with tip, and two drinks was two hundred dollars. (On a Monday night we were among only eight others in the dining room)."

  • "We were 6 ppl squeezed into a table with no room to move. The restaurant was somehow short on glassware, and plates so at one point a waiter took glasses from our table to give to the table next to us. We waited forever for drinks and rarely saw a waiter. You wld think they wld want a table to keep drinking while waiting an hour for food but maybe the problem was that they had no glassware. Way overpriced for a mediocre meal and poor service."

  • "Servers mixed up dishes. After placing our dessert order we were asked to leave our table and finish dessert in the bar so they could seat the next party. VERY RUDE. We did get up, cancelled our dessert order and left. On our way out spoke to the two guys taking our table and they were shocked that a new restaurant would do such a thing. Not a smart move for a new restaurant in Greenwich Ct where you have other streak house options such as Gabriels & Prime Meats (just opened at the bottom of Greenwich Ave and very good food) and other fine dining options such as Rebeccas & Thomas Henkelman at the Homestead Inn. Hope the guy taking photos of their big opening night got a shot of us leaving. Don't think we will be going back any time soon!"

  • ""Nice new restaurant in Greenwich Upscale and modern restaurant Vinny the waiter was quite good and very attentive Drinks were ok as the cosmopolitan was very Limey Martini was ok For appetizer the Caesar salad was very good the beet salad was wonderful. The lobster bisque was fishy. It did contain large amount of lobster The strip steak was a nice size and quite good The Dover sole was wonderful Great side of Mac and cheese Tables are a bit small and if your a couple they put you at tables too close to each other It's pricey but nice size portions Worth a try"

  • "The steak was superb. Very soft, cuts like butter. We shared the Porterhouse for 2. Did not need steak sauce. The only negative, was the wedge salad could have been better. A little dry, could have used more dressing. The oysters we had were very fresh, meaty and delicious. Service was very attentive, friendly, but not overbearing. The only other downside i have is the music they were playing was a little two much dance club like."

  • "This was our first visit to Blackstones and our group of six unanimously agree that it was a great experience all the way around! The wait-staff was attentive, hilarious and offered valuable menu guidance. The food was delicious and drinks were well made. It was an experience similar to a visit to the Palm Steakhouse but less masculine as far as your classic "steakhouse" is concerned, so the girls in our group didn't feel like visitors to the men's club but we enjoyed the cool vibe. A little more variety on the appetizer menu (its mostly shellfish) we used split salads as appetizers, but that part (appetizers) of the menu was a bit one dimensional. A great night out - We are glad to have Blackstone's in town and it will likely be a go to.."

  • "Blackstones was a mixed experience. We arrived 10 minutes late for our reservation and were seated promptly. That is when things got a bit strange- it seems the wait staff are not assigned individual tables but rather they all help out with all tables. While this provided larger (4-8+) tables with attention from the staff, the service for tables with two people was non-existent. After seated it took over 15 minutes to order a drink, then it was another 25 minutes after that until someone took our food order. All-in we interacted with a waiter just twice throughout the entire meal; for everything else we had to flag down the host. Despite the service, the food was excellent. As a new restaurant hopefully they can find their way."

  • "Growing tired of Barcelona we saw that this new restaurant was right next door and we decided to try it out. It was a pleasant change; the decor was so beautiful & modern. The bar/wait staff was knowledgeable and attentive. We were seated immediately. Although we were at a steakhouse I wasn’t in the mood for beef and they didn’t disappoint with the selection. I had never tried Chilean sea bass before so I ordered one and my friend ordered a filet. I was pleased to see that the portions matched the prices! The fish was cooked to perfection and the sauce was a perfect accompaniment. The filet was also cooked perfect;medium rare with a beautiful sear on both sides of the filet. did i mention our meals were brought out on a cart? A must try!"
