"The food was good. The prices are high. On an upbeat, the portions are sizeable so two people can share (even though this had to be solicited from our waiter). For meat eaters, the steaks are quite good; not the best but far from the worst."

"We have dined here a few times each year for special occasions and have always been very happy. Yes it's very expensive, but show me a true steakhouse that isn't (and even the best ones in NYC can sometimes be inconsistent in the quality of the meal). However, during this past visit things were a bit off. The wait staff was great, but it took a LONG time to get our appetizers. I always get lobster bisque and for the first time I was not wowed, and ditto the creamed spinach at dinner-they were both just OK. Steaks were as good as always, but my much-loved hash browns tasted like day old potatoes and they have ALWAYS tasted fresh in the past. Maybe the kitchen was short that night or they have new cooks, but I was not completely happy."

"Went with a group of 5. Orders varied from seafood to steak. We started with a sushi appetizer which was promoted by every waiter that came to the table. While it was tasty, it was not worthy of it's pricetag ($49). In fact, though all of the food was good, the prices attached to it are much too high. We've had sushi just as good (if not better) at our local restaurant. Same with steaks. It was a nice atmosphere and everyone was friendly. But for the over $110 per person, I'll be trying other, similar restaurants before returning."
