Took a friend from Minnesota, and she is still raving about this exceptional eating experience. Dined inside due to a heat wave, but the view of the Delaware River thru large picture windows was outstanding. Service was attentive, but a bit impersonal. Our fish entrees, tuna and salmon, were both outstanding. Wonderful experience with scenic views of the Delaware River. Signature crab dish is delightful. Duck tasted a little old and greasy. Soups were a seafood chowder with very little seafood and sausage. Not very good. Smoked white bean soup not bad but very skimpy. Desserts were "s'mores " and a salted Carmel chocolat (can't remember exact name). Neither were very good.
My husband asked for a substitution of the starch component and was told the kitchen doesn't do substitutions.
I think management needs to reevaluate and get back to what made this restaurant great when it reopened5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMOne of Our FavoritesAfter seeing many good reviews on Open Table, we decided to come back to the Hotel for our wedding anniversary dinner. We asked to be seated outdoors, and were cheerfully accommodated. It was a warm spring evening, and despite the noise pumped out by jet boaters on the river, it was quite pleasant. After 15 minutes the boaters departed, and the ambiance settled into a quiet accented by the graceful arches and lights of the Bulls Island foot bridge and barn swallows performing aerobatics over the river. Our waitress was pleasant and efficient, and encouraged my wife when she asked if she could order items from the dinner menu and the Tavern menu. The food was excellent and the presentation charming. Dining room has huge windows looking out. Food is always fantastic. Portion sizes are reasonable--you do not leave feeling stuffed. Staff is always courteous and knowledgeable. Many have been there for years.

It sits along the banks of the canal system of the Delaware River in Upper Bucks County. They have a very nice menu with prime meats and assorted seafood items as well as fresh salads and tasty apps. The wine and drink selection will satisfy most diners and the dessert menu will have you staying for coffee too. The food was fantastic. The bar area is very charming. The restaurant was very full the night we were there and the staff seemed to be stretched a bit thin. Hoping that was not the norm. There is an outside lower level patio that overlooks the river. It's outfitted with fire pits & heaters for year round enjoyment.
