You always know that you are going to get a great meal and that the service is going to be beyond excellent. I think they make the staff take "happy pills" because I always get a great waiter or waitress. Be sure to look for coupon specials that they have for some fabulous savings. Their desserts are to die for! I always make reservations in advance to avoid any waiting."

  • "I made reservations for 8pm, as soon as I walked in the door the hostess whipped us away to a booth....which normally would have been fine, but there was no "hello"...it was just "A table for 2, right this way". I couldn't even tell her that I had a reservation. Our waiter was nice, but quiet and not very personal, it might have been because it was 8 at night, but it was very awkward."

  • "Our waiter was slow and appeared frazzled. Going two directions at once and never making it to either destination. I ended up with three full drinks on front of me, hub y had tea added to his diet cola and grandson had water added to his iced tea. It was almost comical but I hope the night improved for the waiter. We all very much enjoyed our Father's Day dinner."

Since we live 30 miles away, we do not get that opportunity very often. Our favorite choice is the prime rib and lobster. We also love the Caesar salad. Everything else is a bonus. The table service was just as excellent as the first visit. as was the taste, temperature and presentation of the food. I am comfortable in recommending this restaurant based upon these experiences."

  • "I made the reservation to celebrate my sons bday, my mother bday and Father's Day all at once. Triple whamy. I wasn't impressed with our waiter. He was no people friendly and acted though he wasn't enjoying being at work. Do we ever enjoy being at work?!?! Probably not but his job is to work with the public and he just didn't make us feel very welcome. The food dinner was rude ! I asked for ranch and her response was rude and once again acted like we were putting her out of her way. For the price of the food, and the usual wait I experience at that location, a reservation seemed appropriate. The food was cooked just right, however because of the lack of service we received it was hard to enjoy. I am very unhappy with this!"

  • "The food was good and it was very quiet where they seated us. It was a bit warm in the restaurant. I would like to see them open for lunch during the week. Had to ask for drink refills a couple of times. Otherwise service was very good. Made one mistake with our order (my baked potato) but quickly resolved the issue with a new potato. I had the grilled shrimp and a steak. The grilled shrimp was excellent, but the steak needed more seasoning for my taste. My husband had a steak which he stated was cooked perfectly, but his vegetables were not good. He had broccoli and green beans. I was a bit disappointed in the food this time. I came about a year ago and the food was awesome and I ordered pretty much the same thing."

  • "It was my first and last time eating here, we went for my husbands 30th birthday and we were very unimpressed. The food had no flavor, my mom's chicken came out so over cooked it was hard and dry. The prices were outrageous for the amount of food you get. And the desert wasn't any better, we had three different ones and I wouldn't recommend one of them. I'd rather goto lucielles or claim jumpers and pay their prices because the food quality and quantity is worth it!"

  • "We arrived 5-10 minutes prior to our reservation time, made them aware we had reservations and proceeded to sit down. Friday night in Temecula is historically busy at restaurants so we were not surprised to see 8-10 people waiting for tables. We watched as all people waiting as well as another 2-3 parties that arrived after us be seated. When my fiance asked how much longer we had to wait, the woman at the front desk said "I have your reservation for 2 right here. I show it is 7:30 (our reservation time) now. We will seat you in a few moments." The fact is it was already 7:40 so we had been waiting 15-20 minutes. If not for the great waitress, we would have had one of the worst experiences we have had in a restaurant. We won't be back."

  • "We went there for mother's day. There were initially 4 of us but my 9 year old granddaughter wanted to come. They sat us at a table that would have been small for just the 4 adults. But with all of us we had elbows in plates and my legs were so squished they hurt by the end of the night and they made no effort to move us to a larger table even though it was obvious we were not comfortable"

  • "We have been coming to Temecula Black Angus for years. Usually, everything in good but this time our waitress disappeared for 20-25 minutes. Luckily, the manager was informed and finished our service and gave us a discount on our meal. I won't let this keep me from returning but I sure hope it doesn't happen again."

  • "I have enjoyed many good meals at the Black Angus. This last time was not one of them. We ordered the campfire feast (with coupon). We picked out the sides and choose the artichoke as the appetizer. First off they charged an extra $4 for choosing the Rib Eye (I don’t remember doing this before). The salads came first instead of the appetizer. The appetizer came as we were finishing the salads. The main entrees arrived about 45 seconds later leaving no time to enjoy the appetizer. The Rib Eye that was $4 extra, was the thickness of a minute steak and of course over cooked. My filet tasted like it had just been defrosted. Will I be back??? Not sure. When I spoke to the waitress she did apologize for the out of order and quckness."

  • "The service was great. I don't recall our server's name, but she did a fine job making sure we had everything we needed. We had the prime rib and the top sirloin with au gratin potatoes, onion rings, and Caesar salad. The warm bread at the beginning was fresh and absolutely delicious. The steaks were also quite good. The au gratin potatoes had an epic ton of bread crumbs on them which made them taste kind of awful. Everything else tasted just fine. I ordered onions and mushrooms on my steak and I am glad I did. The mushrooms were outstanding, though I might be biased, I love mushrooms."

  • "It had been almost 14 years since I had been here and I remember why. The food itself wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either. We had a coupon and the weather was bad and it was close. A recipe for a mix up. Went with the family and mom is Gluten Free, daughter is Blind. Asking the server questions about GF substitutions was a joke, they knew nothing about their own menu. Told them before we arrived that I had a mobility impaired person and a Blind person with us and they put us all the way in the back! Not once did anyone address my daughter directly, all requests had to come from me, it was like she wasn't there at all, terribly rude."

  • "My wife and I booked a reservation through Open Table for Valentine's Day. The restaurant was packed, and our 8 p.m. was reservation was pushed back 30 minutes. Only at 8:30 we were informed by a condescending, passive-aggressive hostess that it would be another 30 minutes. At this point we spoke to the manager, who was very apologetic but unable to resolve the problems. We promptly left hungry and frustrated, and celebrated Valentine's Day in the McDonald's drive-thru."

Had a Reservation but ended up waiting almost an hour (after being told about a 10 min wait) which wasn't as bad as some people who waited almost 3 hrs without a reservation. The waitress was top notch which was great and the food was good but not great. I would go again just not on a holiday."

  • "My wife and I had a fantastic Valentine's Day dinner at the restaurant. One of the busiest nights of the year, and it did not feel rushed or forced. We used the online reservation system, which went off without a hitch. No problems, no worries, no concerns. We arrived about 5 minutes before our reservation, and were seated within 5 minutes of our reservation time. Our host was pleasant and nice, and brought us to our table. Our server came over quickly, got our drink orders, and gave us the right amount of time to make our selection. Our appetizers came out quickly, and were great. Our meal came out timely, and was to perfection. The manager and the district manager were also in the store that evening, and also checked on us."

We were there for Valentine's Day so the reservation really made a difference as there was a 1.5 hour wait without a reservation. The booths are private and for even being right next to the bar where we sat, we could still have conversation at low level of speaking. Great drink selection too with a generous pour by the bartender. Meat was cooked perfectly as requested. Had a great night!"

  • "We made reservations via the internet and once at the restaurant we were seated within 10 minutes. Our waitress was very attentive and professional and promptly delivered our wine and bread. The food was cooked to perfection and delivered at just the right time giving us time to enjoy our appetizer and salads. The overall experience was perfection and we sent our compliments to the chef via the manager. We were very generous with out tip for the waitress so she knew we appreciated her helping to make our Valentine's Day dinner the best ever!"

The food was what you'd expect at a family, and not gourmet, restaurant and the prices were reasonable. Our waitress provided us with excellent service and we'll be returning in the future.   • "Everything was fine. Even though we had reservations, we had to wait 20 minutes. But the wait for those who didn't have reservations was over an hour - at 6:00 pm!! The Brussel Sprouts that the waitress recommended - that weren't on the menu - well, we took her up on her recommendation and they were way undercooked and bitter. We couldn't eat them. Otherwise, the dinner was fabulous! We also got seated at a table for 2 that was RIGHT next to the kitchen. Lots of activity, too much light. We didn't mind too much - we go there often, on the other hand - we are regulars there and we should have had better seating if they want us to continue being regulars at such a fine restaurant!"
