  • "We have been coming to Temecula Black Angus for years. Usually, everything in good but this time our waitress disappeared for 20-25 minutes. Luckily, the manager was informed and finished our service and gave us a discount on our meal. I won't let this keep me from returning but I sure hope it doesn't happen again."

  • "I have enjoyed many good meals at the Black Angus. This last time was not one of them. We ordered the campfire feast (with coupon). We picked out the sides and choose the artichoke as the appetizer. First off they charged an extra $4 for choosing the Rib Eye (I don’t remember doing this before). The salads came first instead of the appetizer. The appetizer came as we were finishing the salads. The main entrees arrived about 45 seconds later leaving no time to enjoy the appetizer. The Rib Eye that was $4 extra, was the thickness of a minute steak and of course over cooked. My filet tasted like it had just been defrosted. Will I be back??? Not sure. When I spoke to the waitress she did apologize for the out of order and quckness."

  • "The service was great. I don't recall our server's name, but she did a fine job making sure we had everything we needed. We had the prime rib and the top sirloin with au gratin potatoes, onion rings, and Caesar salad. The warm bread at the beginning was fresh and absolutely delicious. The steaks were also quite good. The au gratin potatoes had an epic ton of bread crumbs on them which made them taste kind of awful. Everything else tasted just fine. I ordered onions and mushrooms on my steak and I am glad I did. The mushrooms were outstanding, though I might be biased, I love mushrooms."

  • "It had been almost 14 years since I had been here and I remember why. The food itself wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either. We had a coupon and the weather was bad and it was close. A recipe for a mix up. Went with the family and mom is Gluten Free, daughter is Blind. Asking the server questions about GF substitutions was a joke, they knew nothing about their own menu. Told them before we arrived that I had a mobility impaired person and a Blind person with us and they put us all the way in the back! Not once did anyone address my daughter directly, all requests had to come from me, it was like she wasn't there at all, terribly rude."

  • "They have dinner for 2 specials, and the service is great and quick. We were there for Valentine's Day so the reservation really made a difference as there was a 1.5 hour wait without a reservation. The booths are private and for even being right next to the bar where we sat, we could still have conversation at low level of speaking. Great drink selection too with a generous pour by the bartender. Meat was cooked perfectly as requested. Had a great night!"

  • "My wife and I love the campfire deal, we almost always order the salmon dinner with the roasted artichokes appetizer. For dessert we recommend the white chocolate bread pudding, it was awesome and plenty enough to share after a delectable dinner!"

  • "My wife and I had a fantastic Valentine's Day dinner at the restaurant. One of the busiest nights of the year, and it did not feel rushed or forced. We used the online reservation system, which went off without a hitch. No problems, no worries, no concerns. We arrived about 5 minutes before our reservation, and were seated within 5 minutes of our reservation time. Our host was pleasant and nice, and brought us to our table. Our server came over quickly, got our drink orders, and gave us the right amount of time to make our selection. Our appetizers came out quickly, and were great. Our meal came out timely, and was to perfection. The manager and the district manager were also in the store that evening, and also checked on us."

Had a Reservation but ended up waiting almost an hour (after being told about a 10 min wait) which wasn't as bad as some people who waited almost 3 hrs without a reservation. The waitress was top notch which was great and the food was good but not great. I would go again just not on a holiday."

  • "We made reservations via the internet and once at the restaurant we were seated within 10 minutes. Our waitress was very attentive and professional and promptly delivered our wine and bread. The food was cooked to perfection and delivered at just the right time giving us time to enjoy our appetizer and salads. The overall experience was perfection and we sent our compliments to the chef via the manager. We were very generous with out tip for the waitress so she knew we appreciated her helping to make our Valentine's Day dinner the best ever!"

  • "My wife and I booked a reservation through Open Table for Valentine's Day. The restaurant was packed, and our 8 p.m. was reservation was pushed back 30 minutes. Only at 8:30 we were informed by a condescending, passive-aggressive hostess that it would be another 30 minutes. At this point we spoke to the manager, who was very apologetic but unable to resolve the problems. We promptly left hungry and frustrated, and celebrated Valentine's Day in the McDonald's drive-thru."

  • "Everything was fine. Even though we had reservations, we had to wait 20 minutes. But the wait for those who didn't have reservations was over an hour - at 6:00 pm!! The Brussel Sprouts that the waitress recommended - that weren't on the menu - well, we took her up on her recommendation and they were way undercooked and bitter. We couldn't eat them. Otherwise, the dinner was fabulous! We also got seated at a table for 2 that was RIGHT next to the kitchen. Lots of activity, too much light. We didn't mind too much - we go there often, on the other hand - we are regulars there and we should have had better seating if they want us to continue being regulars at such a fine restaurant!"

The food was what you'd expect at a family, and not gourmet, restaurant and the prices were reasonable. Our waitress provided us with excellent service and we'll be returning in the future.   • "This was the first year the whole family would not be gathering around the table at our house for Thanksgiving. Sooooo I thought why not try something brand new and eat out. Best idea ever! My morning was spent relaxing, our group of four adults and two kids met at the restaurant in the afternoon, and without having to be chained to the kitchen preparing or serving, we had a wonderful family Thanksgiving Dinner. Would do the same in a heartbeat!"

  • "This holiday dinner was quite good, generous amounts of food and variety. Especially the turkey and dressing. I am not a fan of sweet potato, but simply didn't eat it as there was plenty of other food--a generous salad and a vegetable, though I end up eating so much broccoli in frozen foods, I didn't eat much of that. It was well prepared, however. I also avoid green beans, but you didn't offer that, just a note that people can have allergies to any type of pea or bean, and too many restaurants put green beans on holiday plates. The service was a little slow, but the waitress was pleasant and attentive. The ambiance was plain, and a little dated."

  • "We went here for Thanksgiving and were a bit disappointed. Food was very good, but the service, perhaps to be expected on a holiday, was less than satisfactory. Servers brought out our 2-year-old's food last -- a cardinal sin in dining. Restaurant appeared under-staffed ... again, no surprise on a holiday. Also, though we made reservations for 6:30, the hostess said something like, "We'll seat you when something is available." Really? That's the whole point of reservations. If prices were lower, would have just shrugged our collective shoulders. But for what they charge, service should be far better. Will stay home next year."

Had to take a large portion home with me which was just as good as the first serving. I conveyed my appreciation of the fine meal to the manager. Thanks for allowing me to share with you."

  • "Our servicer was great she was slammed but was calm and friendly. we had a great time ,the only complaint i have is the prime rib was not seasoned,or did not taste like it was and my lobster was dry and over cooked. i should have sent the lobster back but i did not. i t was great to be ablr to have a reservation as it made the whole evening less stressful. thank you"

  • "First the good news, we were welcomed by a wonderful,l receptionist staff for Thanksgiving. I explained that we needed to get in earlier than our reservation and they made it happen. We were seated in a corner table ( 5 of us plus our service dog). Our server never introduced himself, but took our drink order. Our server never smiled, but answered all our questions. He brought bread and salads about 10 minutes later.Our food came 45 minutes later. After he served us, we tried five times to get his attention. Overall the Thanksgiving meal was mediocre, but three of us had the steak and lobster, or prime rib and said it was great!"

  • "We went to Black Angis for Thanksgiving dinner. We had the turkey dinner. There was tons of food. So I stll got my hit turkey sandwiche on Friday. The turkey was moist and freshly carved. Dressing and potatoes were good. Huge sweet potatoes I don't like th but my daughter who does said they were good. Pumpkin pie was not that great but not bad. Service was great."

I went in expecting smaller portions for the Campfire Fast for Two but, was totally surprised! The service was quick, the service was so nice and attentive, the food was delicious and just a very pleasant experience for dinner away from the kids."

  • "We were so disappointed, in that we drove 65 miles round-trip to this restaurant to celebrate my birthday. We love your prime rib, and were saddened to hear, after placing out order, that they ran out. The manager suggested the rib eye stating it was like the prime rib, just grilled! We were't happy, but elected to go with the rib eye, we found it stringy, tough and lacking any resemblance to a good cut of meat. As I said, we were disappointed, and if we ever have this happen again, running out of prime rib, we will cross this restaurant off our list of favorites!"

  • "The server was FABULOUS ... she took care of use like we were royalty!........the only problem, which is one I usually have wherever I go, is that I ask for an end cut piece of Prime Rib and ask that it be prepared extra, extra well done, no pink, and it was cooked great around the edges, but still pink in the middle......so I only ate the outer edge and gave the rest to my husband. I don't like to send food back...too many nightmare stories....but other than that....all was great!."
