  • "I ordered filet. Was very disappointed that there was fat in it. It also seemed to be pieces of filet versus an actual cut of filet. Also, had green beans.... The chef gave me 8 green beans.....portion size ridiculous for the price. My husband had chicken and ribs. Chicken was a little piece. Again, ridiculous portion sizes. The wedge salad was good though. We were celebrating my b-day. The server was very nice."

  • "The food at Black Angus is fantastic. The thing is, my stepmother is disabled, requiring a table since a booth is not practical. Since they messed up before, I checked on arrival they had us down for one. They didn't, putting us down then. They tried to sit us in the bar, but our group of 5 had 2 teens, one obviously underage. They told us it was a holiday thing. My father also doesn't like being in bars, and the noise level in the area was very high; to be polite, we didn't point out me, my mom, and my dad all have sensitive hearing. The manager tried very hard to accommodate us, getting us a table only 10 min. after our reservation time, and the waitress was awesome. I'd eat there again, but quit messing up on the table request!"

  • "We had a reservation at 6:00 pm and we were seated about 10 mins past. We had our order taken right away but it took a long time to get to us. I ordered a rib-eye steak med-well. I got med-well on one end and med-rare on the other. Plus in was warm~cold to the touch. My fries were wilted and soft and seemed like it sat under a heat lamp for awhile. I was not impressed this time around."

One of my guests commented on her professionalism saying that she obviously is well trained and has a lot of experience. I always appreciate the privacy that the high backed booths provide. Everyone enjoyed their meals. My guests were very pleased with their Prime Rib. I also really appreciate the nice touches such as the warm loaf of bread to snack on and the chilled plates and forks for the salads. Considering the food quality and the excellent service their prices represent a great value."

  • "Ordered a filet mignon steak and it was so burnt and really small for a 6oz steak. Maybe a good 7 peices if cut right on plate. Also had a cheeseburger that was way overcooked n burnt. Make sure you check the date on the mustard bottle since it was expired by 4 months. Totally a bad experience n would not recommend this to anyone unless they like bad food. "

  • "the food was good. The prices went up and the QTY went down. Steaks use to be bigger, you use to get veggies with the meal which you don't anymore...and the steak soup was good...but I didn't have any steak in my soup. It's good for maybe special occasion."

  • "It was Mother's Day dinner so I was expecting a busy place and a bit of a wait even with a reservation. I was seated quickly upon arriving and it was busy but their was like a rhythmic flow as the waiters/waitresses flowed up and down the isles. Our waitress was polite. It took a little longer than ideal to get our drink order taken and our bread but again IT WAS mother's day and really busy. It was a very pleasant meal and my kids and I had a good time."

The food was delicious and the menu offered something for everybody. Plus the desserts were delicious. Prices were reasonable and all thought the dinner was a great value for the price. "

  • "We have dined at Black Angus for many years and never been disappointed with anything. The food is always cooked to perfection, the wait-staff are superior, the prices are reasonable, and if something is wrong the staff are very willing to make it right. Wonderful & beautiful salads-always crisp, fresh, colorful--lots of crisp lettuce, tomatoes, grated carrots, shredded red cabbage and all artfully arranged for super eye-appeal. Iced tea is always fresh. Great garlic mashed potatoes, and rich desserts. The steaks are juicy and well seasoned. Frequent coupon offers too. Love the booths--more private. We only wish the bread was a crusty, crispy bread that is not so sweet. Black Angus is in our top five places we regularly visit."

  • " miranda was our waitress she was to busy to look after us there was no askin for additional sauces,sugar,extra napkins..bc she was no where to be found that wasn't good I had a lobster that smelt and tasted like feet gross I ever had couldn't believe they sent it out the kitchen then we order dessert cookie for home..she just sets on table with bill last time we ever saw her what makes it bad is she asked if we wanted to bake our dessert at home..I had no idea about the temp of the oven or hw long it would take bc no instructions were givin our service was lackin bc when I needed something no one was around...oh and my drink got refilled as I was puttin cash in lil blk book thing..bad service bad experience would never bring my husband"

  • "The first clue should have been the place was empty at prime weekend dining hours. The food, from the appetizer to the desert, tasted just plain old like it had been sitting in the kitchen refrigerators for weeks. For example, the shrimp cocktail had been frozen so long the texture of the shrimp was mealy, the salmon tasted almost like it was canned. The portions were tiny at any price and make no mistake, the prices are high for a franchise eatery in the Tacoma area. The one decent thing about the place was it was so empty so we had no problems carrying on a normal conversation at our table. The consensus of our group was that we can honestly say we wouldn't go back if they offered us a free meal. Disappointing experience to say the least."

The BA bar area offers ample casual dining space in large booths, a great menu for hardy eaters - and if you can do it on a special offer or coupon - it is very reasonably priced.   • "I booked 5 people for dinner to celebrate my brother's birthday. We were courteously and timely seated at our table. We ordered two combo hor de vours trays. One had sour cream and green onions on the potatoes, the other didn't. Three of us ordered the prime rib. The meat was too thin and it was tough. One person in our group ordered the prime rib with a potato. There was just the slab of meat on a big plate with nothing else. It was a very poor presentation of the food. Two of us planned to order a glass of wine but the server didn't come back to take care of that. The dessert was fabulous, chocolate cake and bread pudding. I was very pleased with my salmon dinner. My husband was very pleased with his spare rib dinner."

  • "We used to eat here very month. The Ribeye was over half fat. Not fatty, like flavorful, but cut off a slab of fat and not seasoned. Oddly enough, there were no cook marks on the steak. None. Not cooked? Microwaved perhaps? Terrible. The only good thing was the server and he kept saying how sorry he was for the food. We waited over and hour and 15 minutes for our meal to arrive."

  • "Typical of most chain steakhouses, this particular Black Angus does nothing exceptionally well, nor does it do anything particularly poorly. The steaks are simple, cooked to order, and generally of good quality. They aren't excessively peppered, the way The Outback has a tendency to do. Steaks come with two sides, and the option to accessorize as you see fit. The bread that comes free is delicious, a sweet molasses bread, served with butter. As for pricing, most orders are in the $20-$30 range, and will feed an adult. If you wish, you can add appetizers, which run from about $8-$15. Wine, beer, and mixed drinks are available as well, and they have a fairly decent dessert menu. Expect to spend $75-$100 for two adults, including tip."

  • "Who doesn't like steak and potatoes. Our fillets are always cooked perfect . The one thing I would say is that they weren't the same size. My husband's steak was fine, burn it mine was very noticeably smaller and mine had a huge piece of fat down the middle which separated the meat on both sides. When I order a fillet don't expect to find any fat running through it. The one thing I would say great is the people that work at the Lakewood Washington Black Angus, they know what customer service is. The manager also comes around to see if every thing is alright."

  • "Even though I went on Valentine's Day and 9 pm, I thought that it would have given us a better experience. However, when we arrive for our reservations they were still busy and said it would be 20-25 minutes still. So we decided to head to the bar given that there were open tables and you would think better and faster service. That wasn’t the case. We waited for 22 minutes for our server; we had to ask multiple times for things (such as drinks, refills, the bread, silverware to eat, etc.). Overall, our server wasn’t the quickest and definitely wasn’t attentive or try to upsell (which is huge in the restaurant business and for her tip). I wouldn't recommend this place to friends and definately won't be going there again."
