  • "We can always depend on Black Angus for the steak. We have yet to be disappointed with anything we have ordered. The service was great and the waiters know the menu and have some good advise. Salads are cold, steaks are hot and the appetizers are delicious. You will have to take the dessert home as no one has room after the hearty meal they serve. There is also `call ahead`` booking so no waiting in line. This is really a bonus when you have a few guests."

We had a lovely, nice waitress but things were slow to come out (we never got bread during our meal) and wife had to send her Prime Rib back as it was not cooked as ordered. The Prime Rib was not as flavorful as MetroCenter. The wedge salad was tiny. The lobster tail was very good."

  • "I know it was Valentines Day but I"ve been coming every Valentines Day for years and this is the first bad experience I recieved. We first started going to Black Angus on Valentine's Day in Iowa 34 years ago. We had reservations at 6:15 pm and I set that up 3 weeks before Valentines Day. I do this every year except this year I did it online. Well, we get there like at 6:10 and I'm told they are behind about 20-25 minutes but they were going thru them quicker. That wasn't the case, it took 35 minutes to be seated. I was ready to walk out the door in a couple more minutes. We had went to the bar to wait for them to call and it took a while there too. I managed to finish my drink before we were called. Issue with bill too."

  • "We had an 11:30 reservation and arrived about 11:20. The line was already 30 plus deep. They opened the doors at 11:30 sharp. The line moved at a steady pace and we were seated about 11:50. Given the crouse, service was good and the food couldn't have been better. I would suggest management start seating a little early when they know the date is sold out. Otherwise great dining experience."

The shrimp cocktail had 6 huge shrimp, sauce was tasty but the shrimp were a little bland. With the Wagon Wheel Platter, we found the chicken strips a little too spicy but the rest of the platter was excellent. The Caesar salad was very good, the bread was served hot and also very good. One of our party had steak and two of us had prime rib both were excellent. The fourth person had chicken breast and that was very dry but the flavor was good. For dessert we had Mud Pie and Chocolate Cake with the ice cream and chocolate sauce. Both were huge servings and delicious."

We got to the restaurant just before our reservation and the place was packed there were people lined up outside. When we got inside we were told that it was going to be about 15-20 minutes so we decided to go to the bar to have a drink and wait where apparently everyone else did. No place to sit there either. We didn't get out table until 35 minutes after our reservation. I understand it was a Saturday night but why offer a reservation if you are not going to honor it. Very disappointed and don't know that we will ever come back to dine at Black Angus Steak House in Mesa, AZ again. My fries were undercooked and the waiter did nothing to fix the problem."
