  • "We needed to use our gift card that we've had over the years and were going to Golfland which was down the block. Our rez was at noon and got there maybe 5 minutes after but took a while to get seated even though they just opened and there weren't many people in the restaurant. We didn't get our steak quesadilla appetizer until 1pm and then our filet mignon sandwiches came about 15 minutes later. The waiter said our side cole slaw was gonna be late and so we were almost done with our sandwiches when our cole slaw came! The steak quesadilla was good and the warm bread was good but the sandwich was just ok. The waiter replaced our bread frequently and gave us water but other than that we won't be back."

  • "One of our standard go-to-for-steak restaurants that has consistently met our expectations. Tried only appetizers which was a nice change - teriyaki steak lettuce wrap and artichoke. Lettuce wrap had plenty of wraps and pineapple salsa complemented well the teriyaki steak/mushroom skewers. Artichoke had too much salt and preferred pesto over mayo dip."

  • "We had our reservation booked at 7:30pm and we arrived early at 7:05pm. I notified the greeter when we arrived. She told me that we'll have our table ready at 7:30pm, not earlier. I do understand that since there were a lot of people waiting (drop in and some with reservation), they cannot provide us the table even we arrived earlier than the appointment. We waited unitl 7:25pm and I approached the girl again to make sure that she knew our presence. We had to wait until 7:43pm to get seated. There were more than 10 tables called in before us. I just don't understand what's the point of reservation."

Spoiling grandma, getting all our orders, graciously taking pictures and providing a dessert and singing to finish off our great experience. Great food and so many choices to please everyone."

  • "Whenever I get a hankering for Prime Rib (rare), usually around my birthday, I get a coupon for 2 & head for Black Angus. It rarely disappoints! There were actually 4 of us. We also used a coupon for steak & shrimp (the shrimp going to someone who only ordered a salad). As a side I ordered the scalloped potatoes - be warned they have a bit of a "kick" - but it isn't too much. And the Caesar salad was quite nice with shaved Parmesan! The wait staff (multiple) were attentive without hovering. When I questioned the amount of rareness in the prime rib, they brought me a piece to try!! I could only eat half of my free birthday chocolate chip cookie with ice cream - though my husband helped to finish it! We'll certainly be back."

  • "I made the reservation early dinner for 4 at 4:45 pm on Friday, 6-20-14. Waiting time to be seated was short (about 6 minutes). The hostess was pleasant and courteous. The wait staff, Jessica, was very attentive and the food was excellent. I used the Camp Fire coupon for my party and I think the food is worth the price. The grilled king salmon was perfectly cooked; the top sirloin and prime rib were perfectly done the way they were ordered; the garden salad was fresh and elegantly arranged. The only thing they need to fix is the steak soup. It was too salty for me and I was tempted to order some hot water to tone it down a bit. This is my favorite place and I will definitely come back again for the great food and great service."

  • "Black Angus is my favorite restaurant. I enjoy the cowboy ambience, the spaciousness and privacy of the seating with high backs protecting ones quiet. The food is always dependably excellent, the service is always very good and sometimes outstanding. The Garlic Zucchini starter is a big favorite, the Big Mtn Fudge cake is to die for. In between, Steaks and Prime Rib live up to their reputation, and their occasional specials are favorites. I love the rack of Lamb and the Turkey & Dressing. I also appreciate their chef's layering of flavors in certain items, for instance the Chicken, Avocado, Bacon sandwich! It's one of just a few places I can recommend to friends without hesitation, knowing they will be pleased, no matter what they order."

  • "We ordered the R R Up I received a New York Strip steak that was maybe two inches wide and a third of that was a strip of fat running the length of the steak. I brought this to the attention of the waitress and then manager, I was told that I could get another steak for a somewhat discounted price, since I was not interested in paying for another steak, I asked for and received another caesar salad. I had delivered a Birthday Cake to the kitchen in the care of the same manager when we arrived and asked that it be brought out when we requested it. I requested that the waitress bring the cake to the table after the meal, and requested it again almost 30 minutes later. All told it took 40 minutes or more to have the cake brought to the table. "

My Steak cobb salad was delicious. All in all a good evening. It was quiet enough so we could hear each other talk....and that is a plus with older folks. We were far away from the happening bar...which has a different ambiance entirely."

  • "The evening before Mother's Day, Black Angus was packed! Even though we had a reservation, we waited 30 minutes to be seated. And feeling the crush of the waiting crowd, a waiter came through with zucchini appetizer for those who wished to partake, which we thought was a nice touch. After being seated in the bar area, we were pleasantly surprised at how quiet it was. Service was a little slow and we had a glitch with our drink order, but the meal was exceptional overall. And considering the seemingly longer wait between courses - our meals arrived hot and our filet each cooked to perfection. Well worth the wait!"

  • "We had Mother's Day dinner one day early to beat the rush; however others have caught on to this secret. The hostess waiting area was packed with over 30 people waiting to be seated. We had reservations at 6 pm and were seated at 6:10. Our server was extremely friendly, helpful, and accommodating to our two small children. Our food came out to our table incredibly fast, and was PERFECT. Our steaks were cooked perfectly, like we ordered and the Cowboy Cookie was delightful. We cannot wait to go back next year and make Black Angus our annual Mother's Day tradition. "
